We hired Custom Fit Lighting in 2019. Tried to get our lights put up in 2020. After many texts, I received no phone calls or texts from the company. I contacted the Better Business Bureau and Nathan blamed James. So this year, 2021, I left many texts again and no reply again. I am not wasting my time this year with the BBB as nothing has changed. This company gives you all the promises that you want to hear. Then when you want your lights put up and you are on the calendar for your lights to be put up they say.... oh, there's snow on your roof so we can't put up your lights this week . When the snow melted they never came. They keep putting us off! This company is all promises and no follow through. we have lights go out and they won't replace them. Custom Fit Lighting does amazing work. They are very easy to work with and getting the free estimate was quick and easy with no pressure at all. They range from really simple jobs, like lining my mother-in-law's roof for Christmas, to complex jobs like professional landscape lighting or event lighting. It is amazing what a difference it can make to have your Christmas lights installed professionally. They use these clips that make the lights stay in an incredibly tight line so there aren't any dips or sags in the line of lights. Our house looked better than ever with their help, and if was surprisingly affordable too. I would highly recommend this service to anyone who doesn't want to mess with doing their own lighting! Especially for the holidays or large events, where you have plenty of other things to worry about! read more

This company is so disappointing! I am so frustrated with the lack of customer service. I have called numerous times to schedule a time to put up our lights. What I keep hearing is excuses about Why they can't come out. It ranges from snow on the roof to we were just so busy we couldn't make it today. This company gets it for the first year and they're great and then after that they put you on the back burner and they never follow through. I feel that this company is all about money and not about customer service. They keep sending me a bill when they have done nothing. They have empty promises! This has been going on for three years! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! If I could give zero stars I would. I hired them in 2015 to put lights on my house, and even bought the lights from them. I have had them back every year. Would have given them a better rating back then but I did have a few concerns at times. Then this year--they emailed me towards the end of October to ask me if I wanted my lights put on and I said yes the next day. Didn't hear anything from them for the whole month of November which was unusual. I continued to try to contact them via email because they didn't answer the phone. My phone call generated an auto text immediately to use their automated system to answer questions so that James, install manager, could call to schedule. Those texts were on Dec 1 and 2. Still no call on 12/18. In one email I got the song and dance that they had employee issues and tried to hire another company but that didn't work out. Ok I can understand that but they never told me they were not coming. I realize my house may be a smaller job than some but they normally could install in about 30 mins with a couple guys so they are well compensated for time spent. To be treated this way after being with them for 5 years is ridiculous and unprofessional. And when I started to have my lights installed by someone else, we found that there were sockets and places on the strings that had tape because the wires were exposed. That is evidently because they jerked the lights off the eaves standing on the ground. read more

So disappointed- last year I would have given this company a 5 star review. This year as a returning customer I cannot. Why you ask? Because they never showed up. After speaking to the owner Nathan once he said he couldn't help with scheduling because he had Mark for that and gave me his direct line. Mark was very nice but in the 3 times I spoke with him he gave 4 different days they would be here. After the 3rd call he said he'd be here on Tuesday and hung up on me. I should have known then they wouldn't be hanging out lights. I then called the office to ask if they would indeed be out and got no response. I emailed as well. Again no response. Today, having given them one more chance I called again thinking someone in their office/ownership might care. It's been over an hour and no call back. This is a shame on me moment. No Christmas lights for us, it's just too late this season. read more

This company has fallen apart over the past 2 years. 2 years ago we spent a significant investment on lights and install knowing it would be less expensive years to come (install only now that the lights were purchased). Now the company bailed on installing our lights this year, said to many people quit, and "referred" us to a new company that never contacted us. Do not use this company or give them a dime. This company is a complete scam!! Do NOT ever choose this company!! They lie and cheat their customers and over charge them!! And when a customer is upset the "manager" or "foreman" bail and leave it to the crew members to handle. Mark and Nathan wont even answer their phones because of so many complaints. They mistreat and underpay their workers! And make them work in unsafe conditions!. They do not even have the proper safety equipment. When they do their "take downs" they just tell the workers to stand on the ground and rip them down off the house.. and these are the lights that the customer bought. This so called company is a big joke!! I hope that people see this and choose a different company because it will not be worth your time or effort and the headache that they will cause you. We were one of at least three homes on our street who signed up for holiday lights last year. All went well and they installed them in plenty of time for us to enjoy them throughout the holidays, returning in January as agreed to remove them. This year is a dramatically different story. My husband and I have called 4x and emailed once over the past two weeks and it's been crickets. Another neighbor gave up and hired someone else to install their lights. Even though their website says the installation price will not change unless you add more lights, a friend said her price doubled from last year's. I cannot support or tolerate a business who is so unresponsive, dishonest and therefore unprofessional. I can neither recommend them nor say anything positive at this point in time. We will take our business elsewhere and encourage you to do the same. read more
