We love this cute little gift shop whenever we visit Spokane! The shop is filled with so many different things -- the last time we came in here, I bought a cute shirt, a cat puzzle, and pasta shaped like dollar signs. I don't live in the Spokane, WA area. I found out about this business through a sponsored ad on Facebook. The ad showed a beautiful Happily Huckleberry gift basket. I knew right away that this would be a perfect holiday gift for a dear friend of mine who attended the University of Washington over 50 years ago. She was also my high school classmate. (Our friendship goes back to September 1967.) The Happily Huckleberry gift basket comes in three sizes - small, medium and large. Yes, I ordered the large basket online (Cost: $100.00 plus $26.99 for shipping). I was impressed with the quick delivery by Fed-Ex. As promised by Simply Northwest, the basket arrived today at 4:22 PM (PST) in Alameda, CA. I know my friend will enjoy this gift. We had driven by a few times and finally stopped in this past Sunday. Vast selection of gift and decor-type items, ranging from heartfelt to humorous. Proprietor was extremely engaging and genuine! Pricing was a bit high on some of the items, but I would never let that keep my away. Highly recommend for those people in your life that you want to spoil. read more

This store used to be amazing and unique. Although they still have many items that are Northwest themed, it feels more like shopping in a junk general store than a unique Northwest product store. I felt like I was in a cheap tourist shop. Very disappointing compared to how awesome they used to be. Quality is no longer there unless you want cheap cliche signs, gag gifts, and useless junk. read more

I loved exploring this shop tucked away in a strip mall in the valley. Truth be told I've driven by it dozens of times and eaten next door at least as many but I never took the time to stop in. I was missing out!!! Good thing that's remedied. There is practically something for everyone here and the shop winds itself around a corner and seems to go on forever. Just when I thought I'd seen it all I found the children's display and ended up with another armload of gifts for the nieces and nephews. In particular if you like all things proudly Northwest, have a slightly country chic streak or are shopping for a girlfriend/mother-in-law/cousin gift then you don't want to miss this shop. read more

OMG! I went in here today for the first time looking for a last minute Mother's Day gift... well, let's just say, I found Mother's Day gifts, gifts for my sister, gifts for my daughter, gifts for my bestie and gifts for my coworkers!! My poor credit card was smokin hot by the time I left here! There is literally stuff for EVERYONE on your gift list. They have bath bombs, wine gifts, super cute household decor, journals, sports fans... fishing decor, you name it!!! I can't believe I haven't been here before! I think I have just found my new favorite place to "hang out". Seriously. Could have spent hours in here looking at all the things. Prices were decent too. They have baskets for all occasions - some already created or I've been able to create my own. Their website is a great resource and you can go into their retail store or order online. Tried to go into this lovely looking shop for some gifts for my loved ones up in AK......bad idea! The customer service was terrible. Had to practically beg the lady at the registar to get off the phone and answer one simply question I had. She looked at me and turned her cheek like she had better things to do than take my money. I turned right around and walked as far away with my pocket full of cash money as possible. I'm mad I wasted 15 minutes of my life in this shitshow of a shop and glad I didn't support people like them! read more

There is truly something for everyone at Simply NW. I love the huge variety of gifts and unique snacks. The prices are outrageous, stuff you could simple order online or get elsewhere. The workers there are nice but if you have actually met the owner and has anything other to do with her than buy her overpriced products, she is the rudest and most immature person. I would recommend staying away from this places And spend your money elsewhere. Not to mention the products there are worse than Walmart quality. read more

Established in 1989.

Simply Northwest was founded in May of 1989 as a home-based gift basket service with the purpose of helping companies acknowledge and show appreciation for their employees and clients for a variety of occasions. The business grew quickly and soon required a warehouse space for storage and assembly. As demand rose from non-corporate clientele, opening a gift boutique in 1994 at the current location in Spokane Valley, WA was a natural next step. In 2011, after five years as the previous owner’s retail manager, Denielle Waltermire-Stuhlmiller purchased Simply Northwest, excited to carry on the long-standing tradition of personalized service and attention to detail. Denielle and her team take the time to get to know you; when you request that they create something special for your clients, friends, or family, you can trust that every gift feels like it came directly from you. Simply Northwest’s mission is to make gift giving easy!

Meet the Business Owner: Denielle S.

Denielle, Simply Northwest owner and gift designer, didn’t plan to become a shop owner and entrepreneur. After graduating from college with a business degree, she worked in retail for a while but burned out on the schedule and corporate constraints on creativity. She briefly returned to school at Eastern Washington University earning her bachlors degree in Social Work, and then took on part-time work at Simply Northwest. Suddenly, she found herself engaged with retail in a new and exciting way. Able to spread her creative wings by merchandising the store in a personal way, the time at Simply Northwest flew by. When the opportunity arose to purchase the business five years later, she took a deep breath and signed on the dotted line!

They have a great selection of board games, puzzles, card games, and tabletop RPG games like dungeons & dragons in Warhammer. The staff is super friendly and super helpful, with a bunch of great recommendations (I'm a huge board game nerd and I do this thing where I test people by asking them about games that I've already played) and these guys were absolutely great. They also have a gaming area in the back of the store, I don't know what the rules are but I'm sure that you could go in and bring your game in and play. They also have a used game section, which is such a great idea. Some board games are so expensive and you don't know whether or not you're going to like them, but if they have them in the used games section at uncle's games it's going to be less than half of what you would pay if it was brand new. It just makes for a fun girls weekend. Last year was my first trip to Spokane and it's a much more charming town that I thought. Lots of funky thrift shops here and in Coeur d'Alene (which is barely 30 minutes away). You can take one day for junkin' and one day for the Farm Chicks. It's $6 for both days and bring your camera and a notebook because you'll want to write down all the cute ideas you find. They had different sections, example military, with glasses and other things, chicken section with hand towels and ceramics and lots more sections. They gift wrap which was nice. We bought a couple of things. Prices are what you would expect for a shop like this. Oh, they also had a pickle ball section too many the name.

They had really awesome and small custom made candles with a CDA special scent which I absolutely couldn't pass up and a heart bracelet that now lives on my arm stack. Everywhere you turn there is something unique and perfect. Plus, the staff is SO kind it's just the place you feel great about buying from! Down the street is their more upscale home store. I just wish this store was close to home!!!
