I knew right away that this would be a perfect holiday gift for a dear friend of mine who attended the University of Washington over 50 years ago. She was also my high school classmate. This store used to be amazing and unique. Although they still have many items that are Northwest themed, it feels more like shopping in a junk general store than a unique Northwest product store. I felt like I was in a cheap tourist shop. Very disappointing compared to how awesome they used to be. I loved exploring this shop tucked away in a strip mall in the valley. Truth be told I've driven by it dozens of times and eaten next door at least as many but I never took the time to stop in. I was missing out!!! Good thing that's remedied. There is practically something for everyone here and the shop winds itself around a corner and seems to go on forever. Just when I thought I'd seen it all I found the children's display and ended up with another armload of gifts for the nieces and nephews. My poor credit card was smokin hot by the time I left here! There is literally stuff for EVERYONE on your gift list. Tried to go into this lovely looking shop for some gifts for my loved ones up in AK......bad idea! The customer service was terrible. Had to practically beg the lady at the registar to get off the phone and answer one simply question I had. She looked at me and turned her cheek like she had better things to do than take my money. I turned right around and walked as far away with my pocket full of cash money as possible. The workers there are nice but if you have actually met the owner and has anything other to do with her than buy her overpriced products, she is the rudest and most immature person.
