The quality of their work was great, they wore shoe coverings and vacuumed up their work areas. I was just dismayed by the amount they charged. (originally rated one star) They didn't simply unplug the old and plug in the new. They removed an adapter from the hard wired smoke detector and wired in a new plug. (less then 5 minutes per detector). I appreciated that they did the job right. Upgraded from one star to two, based solely on price.

This caused all the electricity in our home to turn off. We made the mistake of trying to repair it ourselves and was unsuccessful. We contacted everyone we found on Yelp, but Mr. Electric of Spokane was the only place that would able able to arrive the same day. Living in a small place in Spokane, one short circuit and you're without electricity throughout the entire house. We called Mr. Electric of Spokane and explained our situation and that we needed someone here ASAP. They mentioned they had someone up North and will contact them to stop by between appointments. Communication was excellent with this company. I knew who and when they were arriving and costs via cellular phone, text, and email. They even sent a photo of the electrician so I knew who to expect and allow into my home. To be honest, I was very embarrassed that I tried to fix it and was unable. They told me that they would have to take a closer look before doing anything since an uncertified electrician worked on it (me). Brian and his teammate arrived and was friendly and welcoming. They were very knowledgeable. They found out we needed a new main breaker switch which was on back order BUT they found an older one in their vehicle. They installed that to see if that would fix the issue and it did. The service was beyond what we had imagined and he did not judge. The price was worth the fix and time. They were done within an hour and let us know the other things needing work. We have an older home and things are slowly needing repair. Much appreciated! They were in and out within an hour. In summation, we would recommend Mr. Electric of Spokane. They were able to fit us into their busy schedule when we needed them the most. Other electricians estimated a week or two out, but we couldn't wait that long given our situation. They were able to work on our home the same day and it was done very quickly.

First, Greg seems like a nice guy but he did absolutely nothing when he came. I didn't know what he was going to do or when. If you don't want to do the work or don't have the time you just say that and don't waste other people's time. After a few days I received something from the office saying something about an estimate. What estimate? Next, if I have to call and complain that nothing is done then there is a problem. After a week I called and complained again, and later that day finally received an estimate. I can prove this because I have emails from when I called the first time and when I received the estimate. The problem is your company not me. So replying to my review and making it look like I am the problem just proves I am right.

The work included: Upgrade electrical panel from 100 to 200A, relocate the panel from the maid floor to basement, and move the exterior meter on the home to better accommodate the new electrical mast. Rewire the whole house Wire basement with new construction/open framing Install custom light fixtures and add outlets Prep wiring and electrical for upstairs addition Northstar was amazing every step of the way, following through on all commitments, keeping us informed, and doing quality work. Most impressively to me, the completed the full house re-wire without needing to cut a SINGLE hole in my lathe and plaster walls to complete the job. Although cuts may have made the job easier, they took the time and care to find a path that avoided need for repairs to the walls. Truly, they managed to rewire some locations I did not think would be humanly possible without cutting in for access. This team is a well-oiled machine and we made the right choice with Northstar.

Spent 1/2 hour there and replaced the GFIC, without checking the rest of the circuit. Charged me 2.5 hours. Called him back out again for the next day, as the GFIC, again, would not reset. Spent another 1/2 hour there, replaced at bad socket, and charged me 2.75 hours! My total bill was $704.67! Outrageous! Be careful who you hire!

Epic was called and came out twice only to tell me that it was working properly. We are faced with using space heaters, fans and a portable AC to find any relief from the cold and heat in the winter and summer, respectively. I just find it disappointing that more locally owned businesses don't stand behind their work or their product. Are we a society that focuses on greed and not quality?
