We were initially reluctant to hire a company to do "lighting" for our reception because we weren't sure if it would add anything to the room. My mom kept pushing, so we finally reached out to Amp'd. Amp'd was very professional and very reasonably priced. They gave us tons of options for lighting and accommodated every single one of our requests. The room was done up beautifully with soft blue and purple hues that added so much elegance to the evening. My husband and I both agree this was the best money spent. Also, for a European cafe/bistro flair, Amp'd strung lights between the balconies of the Marie Antoinette room, so it was as if we were dancing under the stars or cafe lights, etc. The pictures from the reception are absolutely gorgeous, and I thank Amp'd for all their great work! I cannot recommend enough. Also, they consistently worked within our budget, which was a huge plus. We had originally spoken with another lighting business, who, when we asked for price ranges, said "If your dad is Donald Trump, I can make it as expensive as you want." We added four can lights (with a dimer) and changed out a ceiling fan in the great room. Also had the former great room ceiling fan reinstalled in our guest room and two flush mounted fixtures installed. Sean made an appt. with us with a date and time (which was two weeks out). This was more than reasonable when it could take months with other electrical contractors. He and his crew arrived in time on the agreed date. We walked the areas for installation and appreciated his recommendations, which saved us money. They were all professional, knowledgeable and protected our home from the debris from installing the various fixtures. They vacuumed up after the areas that they worked in. It really is nice being able to count on a company to show up, trust that they will do an excellent job and feel confident that they all did a quality job for a fair price. I wanted to respond to a reply I received after giving a one star rating. Obviously you only keep…read moregood reviews up. First, Greg seems like a nice guy but he did absolutely nothing when he came. I didn't know what he was going to do or when. If you don't want to do the work or don't have the time you just say that and don't waste other people's time. After a few days I received something from the office saying something about an estimate. What estimate? Next, if I have to call and complain that nothing is done then there is a problem. After a week I called and complained again, and later that day finally received an estimate. I can prove this because I have emails from when I called the first time and when I received the estimate. The problem is your company not me. So replying to my review and making it look like I am the problem just proves I am right.
