Asked around and Bill's Heating and A/C was recommended. When I advised of the issue that my heater was not working they walked me through a few steps over the phone to test it and schedule an appointment for first thing in the am. They actually called the same day and advised they had an opening end of day and sent a technician over! I was elated to get same day service. After he diagnosed the unit he advised it was the control board and the unit was only 5 years old. Walking me through warranty info on that particular unit, he advised I call the company that installed the unit to verify if they will still honor the warranty as they are usually 10 years. I thought his honesty to have me call the original company first was the kind of customer service I am looking for. After he left I called the original company that installed and found out their service call is $20 more than Bill's, has a wait until Monday so that is 6 days and cannot tell me anything about what the warranty covers without the tech coming by. Bill's is 100% where I will keep my business and refer others!

Buyer BEWARE! We were told this company was great so we called them. They came out the first time to fix a problem. Then they came out to inspect the furnace and told us that the high efficiency furnace we had in our attic was the wrong furnace for that area and we needed to replace it. We believed that maybe that was why we had a leak problem, however, in hindsight after reading all the reviews on Yelp and other sources we found out that a standard tactic for this company is to sell you a new furnace and that their employees may even get a bonus for selling you on one. What finally raised more red flags for us. ( I thought they might be giving us faulty information) was when we had them come out to fix a couple of loose wires on a gas fireplace and see why our two gas fireplaces were not lighting. Not lighting because they turned off the gas line when they installed the new furnace and didn't bleed the lines. I get a call that they have advised the renters that they shouldn't use the fireplaces. The technician said he didn't fix the wires because he was just on a diagnosis call. Then he proceeded to tell me they wouldn't work on them because they were too old. They wanted to sell us new gas fireplaces. That's when I knew they were just running a scam to make money off of unsuspecting clients. When I went and read all the reviews it confirmed that they have shady practices and we got taken for $6000.

They were recommended from another electrician who was booked out for 6-months. The big install was the installation of a Generac stand-by generator last October 2021. When Costco and other vendors couldn't find a stand-by generator for at least 3-4 months, Grotberg Electric was able to locate one and installed it in one day. The install was first rate and the customer service was 5-STAR. Over the past two days, we had power outages due to high winds. In both cases, the stand-by generator kicked-on as soon as the outage occurred and cut-off as soon as power was restored. The generator turned-off literally seconds before my text alert from Avista arrived to notify me that power was restored.
