Just white bread!
Ray T.

Well we used to love this place because of the great ambiance and food. Hiwever we had the redfish w crab topping and cous couscous and there was very little crab and i mean very little crab. Our waitress could barely speak English and was very withdrawn. The service was so so. For the starter most other nicer restaurants offer a mixed bread basket with seasoned butter but this was pretty sad. Just white warm bread with plain butter. We will take JA off our list for a while!

Our mid-week tradition often leads us back to this wonderful spot, particularly on Wednesdays, and for very good reasons. Their happy hour menu is a consistent highlight, offering a fantastic array of delicious bites and refreshing beverages that truly make unwinding a pleasure. It's also a surprisingly great family destination; my kids absolutely adore their cheeseburger - it's clear they prioritize quality, as it's always a flavorful and satisfying choice for them. Beyond the food, the drink selection here is truly exceptional. Whether you're in the mood for something expertly mixed or a perfectly poured classic, their offerings consistently impress. Adding to the excellent atmosphere is the bar staff; they are remarkably attentive, ensuring prompt service and a genuinely welcoming experience every single time we visit.

Tenderloin special
Peter L.

Came here on a Saturday for an early dinner. It was relatively busy to my surprise but thankfully we had a reservation with nice booth seating. Vibes were chill and reminscent of the classic dining experience. I got the tenderloin off their specials menu and my wife got the slow cooked prime rib. My dish was cooked to perfection. I ordered medium rare and it was just that. Super tender and nicely seasoned. Smashed potatoes and broccoli also complemented it well. My wife's prime rib was smokey and tender as well. They let her swap out potatoes for brussel sprouts and gave her a horseradish sauce with no extra charge. Portions were also huge. She had to take some home and it was still just as good when we heated it back up later. Service was also quick and attentive. Our water glasses were always filled and had no negative experiences contrary to other reviews. Would come back again!

Today was good. As always I really enjoy the pear martini .. it just refreshing with crystalized ginger. We went away from our norm and had prime rib with french fries. I love the shoestring fries. The steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The service was a little slow but he got all my subs perfect. The manager was super accommodating when I told her I was freezing.

Had a reservation with friends and we didn't like the seats given and the staff was so gracious and understanding in getting us seated together. The atmosphere of the restaurant was moody just the way it should be for dinner, dim lights but not too dim to where you can't read the menu. Let's talk food. I got the ribs, they were all off the bone tender . My husband loved his steak. A way to know if the food is good is total silence while everyone was eating. We will definitely visit again, soon .

The service was phenomenal. Miguel went above and beyond with everything we asked. The food was delicious and the ambiance was amazing. It wasn't overly crowded or too loud. We enjoyed it.

Is it kid friendly?

I have seen kids in the restaurant, but it is certainly an upscale place and I have never noticed a kids menu. I think any place in the world is acceptable for kids if they are well-behaved. But this is not a place that has a McDonald's playground…

Do they have outdoor seating?

Yes we have 4 outside tables. First come, first serve though

What is the attire for this restaurant? Thank you.

Casual to dressy. Your choice. We regularly go in jeans. No problem.

Overall: 4.6/5 [dine in]…read more Phenomenal service from start to finish. They were able to seat us on the patio as a walk in on a Saturday night, checked in to offer us a spot by the fireplace when it opened up, kept our water filled throughout the night, and even asked how we wanted our food served. Little touches like that really make a difference. They also brought out complimentary ciabatta bread when we were first seated and then without us asking, brought a fresh batch after our appetizer. The second round was better, with a nice crispy edge that made that satisfying crunch when you squeezed it. Really good with the butter, though if the butter had been just a little saltier it would have been perfect. Beef Carpaccio ($32): Good but average. The individual components were all there but the dish felt like it was missing cohesion. The black sesame parmesan tuiles were a standout though. Georges Bank Seared Sea Scallop ($49): Three huge scallops cooked phenomenally. The mushroom risotto was a bit al dente and on the saltier side, and the mushroom flavor didn't come through as much as I would have liked. The squid ink beurre blanc was lovely though and really brought the dish together. Despite the risotto I would still order this again just for those scallops. Duck and Foie Gras ($46): The duck was cooked beautifully and the foie gras wasn't too heavy, just the right amount. I loved the strawberry arugula salad that came with it. The pairing worked really well overall. I personally didn't think butternut squash was the right puree choice but my husband disagreed and absolutely loved this dish. Foucher Sancerre Rosé ($15 glass): I am usually not a fan of rosé because of how dry they tend to be, but this one was not bad. It tasted much better when paired with food. August Riesling ($12 glass): A yummy, sweet drink that is refreshing and easy to drink. I had to pace myself or I would have finished it before the main courses even came out.

I finally got to try Bliss, thanks to Restaurant Week!…read more We were immediately seated when we got to the restaurant. The waiter greeted us and gave us the option to order from their regular menu or the menu made specifically for Restaurant Week. We went with the edited menu and had an assortment of starters with the tostadas and the wedge salad being the top picks. Our main entrees consisted of the shrimp and grits which was amazingly delicious! The meatballs on the risotto were equally as good. For the desserts, I will say I thoroughly enjoyed my mix berries on the butter cake. Really delicious. Service was great. There was a bit of a long gap in between our starters and the entrees but they made it up with their overall friendly service. PSA for those with hearing challenges, the noise level is quite loud in the restaurant. I will say that I'd like to go back and try their other dishes.

We eventually joined the monthly bottle membership, which probably says everything about how often this place works for us. The bruschetta boards are generously portioned with enough variety to lean savory, sweet or somewhere deliciously in between, and they pair perfectly with an easy bottle of wine. It's casual enough for a spontaneous stop but still feels polished enough to make an ordinary evening feel like a treat. One of the highlights is when they open the large bar windows and the whole space shifts into that indoor-outdoor mode. The bruschetta flight was wheat bread (yuckyyy) and the toppings were skimped on. Flavor was not there for the food. Not sure what their vibes or theme is. Kinda just plain. One bartender and she was kinda spacey and ppl were flagging her down for service. There was a man next to us at the bar and he was clearly a regular. He knew bartenders name and she knew his and the conversation was more professional / business customer service than friend. He said his meatballs didn't taste normal or good and I heard the bartender tell him either the chef quit or is on vacation and someone else was back there. He sent it back but was trying to tell her he didn't want another one but she got a manager and came out they said they were sorry and making him another one. Not sure if I went on a one off but I doubt I'll be back if in the area.

They lacked the light, fluffy texture one would expect at a restaurant of this caliber. There was a generous amount of crab, and the lobster tail was cooked well, but the overall dish didn't come together. The pastry basket was the highlight. Everything was warm, fresh, and tasted freshly baked. The strawberry butter, however, was underwhelming. It lacked the richness of butter as well as any noticeable strawberry taste.
