    Soup was pretty good
    Robert M.

Came here for a work conference and a work sponsored meal which is the BEST way to eat out. Especially at this place. The dining was nice but surprisingly loud. While they designed a nice place to cram as many people into the location to maximize the square feet, not a lot of attention was paid to the acoustics. Not a romantic date spot for me with that sound level. The waiter was especially attentive and did well with the amount of folks he was served from our group. Occasionally others came in to pitch in and it was a well orchestrated team. We started out with a nice Caymus which is way out of my spend lane but it was a great wine. Then I moved on to a soup instead of the salad. I think it was a special, but it didn't taste super special. I went with the fish of the day which was VERY good with a dollop of mashed potatoes that seemed an odd pairing until I realized they were mainly a steak shop and I guess that's the starch to go to. If in the hotel for a business meeting, I recommend that it's a good place to meet up with your partners/co-workers.

I went for the Frosty Character Breakfast and it was a disaster. The omelet station had my parents waiting 30 minutes, there was hair in several dishes, the server got our pancake order wrong *incomplete *, and a lot of the hot food was not hot. I had to request basic items to be refilled or brought to our table on many occasions. I hope dinner and lunch are better but I wouldn't know. Frosty photo op was great but didnt justify the insane 56 dollars a person given the food and lackluster service.

What amazing, talent chefs this place has. I've never ordered all the appetizers and loved all of them. My whole group couldn't pick a favorite, they were all delicious. The lobster salad is a must try...absolutely perfect. Our server was Luis and he was phenomenal, great personality and very diligent. Halibut was great. Diver scallops were also delicious but small. A very impressive dinner experience Definitely dont skip the desserts. Pistachio ice cream and praline was amazing. Bread pudding was also a hit.

The place is very nice looking but the acoustics are abysmal. You simply cannot have a conversation in this restaurant; it is so loud. I had a nice filet which was cooked perfectly and was very tender. My wife had a marvelous onion soup followed by delicious scallops. My friend had the bone in ribeye and this was disappointing. It was chewy and lacked flavor. The sides were good and the service was as well.

18 Oaks restaurant is a beautiful modern upscale restaurant with a nice view of the golf course located inside the JW Marriott Hotel. We chose this place because it was highly recommended by friends of ours saying it is definitely a perfect venue for a celebration. Definitely worth checking out for my birthday! Upon arriving we were greeted with complimentary mimosas, yes please! We were seated and drink orders were taken. A champagne flight for the ladies and 3 Brisket Bloody Mary's for the men. The ladies in our group (3) each ordered cappuccino's as well. The brunch menu had some nice selections and we chose Pork Belly hash, lobster omelet, eggs Benedict, and shrimp and grits as our mains. We also ordered seasonal fruit for the table as well as sweet potato fries with the yum yum sauce (aioli). The food was mouth watering, drinks were great, everyone was very happy with what they had ordered. Stephanie was our server and she was very friendly and attentive. Thank you for making my special day even more special, Stephanie! We will definitely be back for dinner, looking forward to it.

First time dining at 18 Oaks. The servers were great. We were in the wine room. So it was pretty quiet except for servers walking in to collect bottles of wine. The service was very attentive, but things took a long time, but I appreciated that they were able to divide the bill among so many of us. I didn't get a picture of the fries, but that was the best thing I ate the rolls were also tasty. Sorry no pictures. I got the wagyu filet and it wasn't special. I've had seared wagyu, and it was great. This one was mushy, not melty. There was a spread which tasted like duck and pate. If you love nutmeg, try the brie ice cream. I truly hate nutmeg. It's the worst. The ice cream was ruined, and I just let it melt into a puddle. The panna cotta was great! During our dinner, a fist fight broke out in the main area of the restaurant. If you're interested in fighting, don't ruin other people's time. Don't go out to dinner. Go for a walk. Our area was protected from the nuisance, but there were tons of people who saw what happened in the main area. Service: 5 Food: 3 Ambiance: 4

Rachel was the best server! She was so informative, kind, and made the best espresso martinis! We asked for the signature steaks for lunch & they were absolutely delicious. I absolutely loved this place!

Right out of the gate our server recommended the Mezas De Algeria ($65pp), which I wasn't super thrilled about. She then said if we chose to do our own thing, she recommended six dishes and they serve them family style. I guess the food, depending on what you order may take a while to come out, but being told how much to order was off-putting. We eventually went with the Hummus (absolute must do!), the Shishbarak (order this even before the hummus...it's that good!), Pork Souvlaki, and the Saffron Chicken. But at my age anytime you are over ground is the best occasion. I have heard it is real fancy. And it is. Do not come in Crocs and sweatpants. This is not that restaurant. It is that restaurant where you should make reservations. It is also a place that emphasizes presentation and service. We came right when it opened and we informed the hostess of our reservations. We were seated in the bar area. Once inside I was struck by its ambience. It is sleek, dark and dare say "sexy." Our server, who was extremely attentive came to our table and took our drink orders. My partner ordered an Old Fashioned and me, a Lagunitas IPA. Whilst waiting for our drinks I looked over the room. One thing I noticed was a barrier that separated the bar area and the dining room. The Social Hour is meant, to socialize. I saw couples leaning into each other. Another group were drinking martinis with a seafood tower, almost touching the ceiling. Conversations were had. Romantic glances were exchanged. It isn't a casual place like Bubba's 33 nor Texas Roadhouse. It feels like a place best suited for a date night or an anniversary. I'm wondering how the dining room area is? The Social Hour does offer some drink and small bites specials. We ordered the kabob with pineapple, brussel sprouts, and sliders. They were all pretty great. It reminded me of the same experience as in partaking in tapas. I would remiss if I didn't relay our service here, it was excellent. Our server, Holiday(I hope I spelled it right.) treated us like we were the only patrons there. I've gone to upscale restaurants where staff looks at you up and down. Or they try to size you up. This is not that place. Which was so refreshing. If this place went above and beyond my expectations why didn't I give it four stars? In my opinion I think that a place that creates an upscale experience needs to have a few beers on tap. Even places like Wing Daddy's or Chili's offers a few beers on tap. Secondly, the bar area seating feels a bit tight. I wonder when the dinner crowd arrives would you be in the lap, of someone else's conversation? I still highly recommend this place. The Social Hour area is perfect for a date or an anniversary. The service and food were both excellent. And I've never been to a place where you are given warm hand towels. It reminded me of that scene with Adam Sandler in "The Wedding Singer" minus Billy Idol.

I'm referring to plump, wild-caught shrimp from the Gulf Coast, the famous yeast rolls, and tubs of homemade salad dressings. If you've been there, you know how special the overall experience has been. I've read many heartfelt comments on social media asking why such a successful institution would cease operations. Well, dear reader, I have a unique insight into why. Randy Stokes has poured his heart into the restaurant, but he merely leases the building--not the land--from the Straus family. Approximately seven months ago, Mr. Straus decided to sell the dirt beneath the "Barn" to a real estate developer. The plan? To raze this historic site and erect modern condos. I didn't care for the ribeye and didn't eat it. The salad was right out of the bag. Iceberg, shredded carrots and cabbage with 5 bagged croutons. What happened? It wasn't like that before. My cream spinach came out late, and we weren't charged for it, which was nice. My brother in laws filet was too done. He asked for medium, and it was medium well. He ate it anyway. They used to have a 6oz ladies filet, but they don't. The server wasn't perfect, but we lived. IF I return, I'll skip the salad, get the filet and potato.
