Delicious ribs and Mac and cheese
    Marie Ragy R.

Came here for dinner. This place is very popular. It is a large restaurant with a nice bar in the middle. We were a party of 4. I highly suggest you make reservations like we did because I can see the wait being long for walk ins. We ordered the smoked salmon dip and fried shrimp for appetizers. They were both good. They do give you ample amount to share. For entrees we ordered the burger, which is always delicious. The ribs with mac and cheese and green beans, and the kebabs. The ribs are really good. Not too saucy and very tender. The Mac and cheese is good too. Creamy and delicious. I would definitely recommend this and the burger. The kebabs were okay. For drinks, you can't go wrong with ordering one of their martinis. Strong and tasty. For dessert we had the bread pudding. I would come here for a night out with friends or happy hour.

Haven't been here in a long time, but the food still hits! I always order Alex's Salad with fried chicken and it's just as delicious as I remember. Season is definitely here so unless you arrive early, be prepared to wait or fight for a seat. The service at the bar was a bit lacking (felt like they were giving more attention to the regulars) but nothing that ruined the experience. Overall still a great spot and worth the visit!

Our reservation for 6:15 was honored but the hostess seated us next to kitchen and bathroom, so we were politely moved. Sherry B our server was very efficient but did not smile or converse. The article was small but our other entrees were exceptional. The wine pour was minimal but the ribs were huge and juicy and delicious. The tai salad was fresh and tossed perfectly. The temperature in the restaurant was freezing and we were shivering. Besides minor details, we had a very nice dinner. SUPPORT LOCAL

The food was great, the service was a big disappointment. Our waiter was not friendly and he didn't make an attempt to refill our glasses. We ordered dressings on the side for our salads, which we had to ask twice for and we waited about 5 minutes for them to arrive after our food came out. We also asked for wet hand towels after our appetizer. The guy that brought them over brought dry napkins and then we finally received wet, cold, towels 15 minutes later. We also ordered coleslaw, which didn't come out with our food, and we had to ask our waiter for it. It finally came out about 15 minutes into our meal. We ordered three salads, an artichoke and coleslaw. The food was delicious and I'll be back, but for a restaurant of this stature, I expect service to be excellent.

The staff is really friendly. They have a great bar with large Tv screens. The place is very nice . The server was amazing. We ordered salads - they were delicious and amazing. I had the Thai chicken salad which had a lot chicken and the peanut sauce was delicious. My wife had the chicken salad. The chicken was perfect . The French fries are amazing. Everything was delicious and amazing . We will be back.

We dined at J. Alexander's to enjoy a holiday lunch. We made a reservation and were seated immediately. We were greeted by Amiyah our server who was very friendly and attentive. She provided honest feedback about several dishes on the menu. We decided on the Steak and Fries, Babyback ribs and Ahi Tuna salad. Everything was delicious and portions were large enough to take leftovers home. One of the highlights to our experience was our server Amiyah. Her attentiveness, personality and engaging conversation is rare. We have dined at several restaurants nearby for lunch which have provided disappointing service. However, we all agreed we would return and request Amiyah as our server. Thank you Amiyah for making our holiday lunch even more special!

We had an experience here for my son's birthday! Amaiyah was our waitress and she was excellent. We ordered prime rib, NY strip steak... started off with beefsteak tomatoes and fire grilled artichokes ! All excellent. It was leisurely and pleasant and very relaxing! Creme brûlée for the birthday boy and he loved it. I just say it was such a pleasurable evening- ty'

Last month I met my friend for dinner. We were sat quickly and sat in j a comfortable booth. I like how J Alexander's has a varied menu. I usually eat at the one in Plantation. This location has an identical menu. I ordered a house salad and filet mignon with loaded baked potato. My salad was tasty. It was very fresh. The steak was cooked just how I liked it, medium. The loaded baked potato had a good flavor and actually was loaded. That was nice to see because too often restaurants skimp on the toppings Our server could have been more attentive. I never even got a soda refill because he did not come around very often. Other than that, it was a great meal.

Wow that pear martini about knocked me off my chair! :) good service both at the bar and in the dining room. The prime rib is always good same for the carrot cake. My Mac and cheese was a little on the dry overcooked side this visit but that was a first. Highly recommend J Alexander's and our avocado bomb was delicious!

Easy 4. Good Friendly service with reservations got seated almost immediately. Ordered avocado bomb, grilled chicken salad and crème Brûlée Avocado was good but not amazing. Crème brûlée was done just right with decent crisp on top. Chicken salad was the best. Large salad. Perfect amount of chicken and dressing. Good flavor

The restaurant has an old time charm of a steakhouse, with top notch service for the most part. Victor was nothing less than 5 stars assisting me with my OpenTable issue...he definitely went above and beyond, and comp'd a dessert for us for the inconvenience to no fault of theirs. As for the food, Cesar salad was underdressed and lacked Parmesan cheese, with pieces of romaine too big for a human bite...who wants to be cutting up salad to eat? The lobster casserole was recommended by a friend...it came drowned in enough oil and saturated breadcrumbs to make anyone choke, lacked salt as well, however it was perfectly cooked. The bone-in ribeye cut was less than I would have expected from this restaurant...I had a big piece of silver skin, and it was rather lean taste and texture more of a sirloin than a fatty, marbled ribeye...more like choice as opposed to a prime cut imo. It was, however, cooked and seasoned perfectly. The baked potato was barely warm...we finally flagged down our server and asked if it be heated ... we were at that point already 1/2 way through our meal. By the time they returned, I only took another 3 bites as I was finished eating. The potato was put under a broiler for a hot minute as the very top was slightly warmer, better...but underneath was still the same. The creamed spinach was amazing, reminded me of Peter Lugers in Brooklyn! Now the best was dessert. The butterscotch bread pudding was delicious although we wished it was crispier and thw chocolate layer cake was the BEST I've ever had, light and just the perfect balance of sweetness served w/ a big scoop of schlag (again for my Peter Luger fans)! A little inconsistent I'm afraid is probably why we hadn't been back all these years.

Stanley made sure I felt incredibly special for my birthday, and the team helped us select the perfect bottle of red wine to pair with dinner. The food was absolutely amazing. What makes the steaks here so special are the high broilers they use, creating that perfect crust while seasoning them simply and perfectly with salt, pepper, and butter. My boyfriend's go-to appetizer is the baked shrimp, while I opted for something lighter with the beef carpaccio. For entrées, I ordered the bone-in filet, and we also shared the veal, a 16oz NY strip, and the ribeye -- all cooked to perfection. I couldn't skip my favorite béarnaise sauce. For sides, we went all out: creamed spinach, fettuccine Alfredo, cheesy mashed potatoes, onion rings, potatoes Lyonnaise, and charred Brussels sprouts. Every single one was delicious. The grand finale was their butter cake, which is absolutely my favorite and the perfect way to end the night. What a truly wonderful birthday experience!

He helped us make decisions with our order. To start, my friend and I ordered the I love gold beverage which consisted of Anejo tequila, honey, orange, lemon and cinnamon on the rim. I ordered mine skinny (to be the least sweet as possible). We ordered the MM house salad which we split to start which had brick street farms organic greens, candied pecans, goat cheese and red wine vinaigrette. We also got the BBQ Wagyu beef ribs which had jalapeño coleslaw and red current bbq sauce. Both were absolutely fantastic starting dishes before preparing for the main course. With the help and guidance of our knowledgeable server, we ordered an item that was NOT featured on the menu. It was called the MS9 Australian Wagyu which is one of the highest grades of beef! It is sourced from Jack's Creek. It was so tender, juicy, and medium to perfection. I was super grateful our waiter told us about it! We ordered the cast iron exotic mushrooms as a side to the steak and they were 10/10. We made room for dessert and I'm so happy we did because it was PHENOMENAL! We ordered the double chocolate cake with brûlée marshmallow, chocolate peanut butter fudge, coffee ice cream and chocolate pop rocks. It was seriously mouth watering.
