We stopped here on our way to San Diego. Just off the highway. It's got a lot of seating so you should be able to get a seat quickly. We got a table as soon as we got there. The service was great. Very attentive. My husband ordered to Salisbury steak platter and I got the chicken fried steak platter. Both came with mashed potatoes which I would call smashed potatoes because they were russets with skin on and lumpy! But OMG they were so good. The country fried steak was tender and had just the right amount of crust that stuck to the meat. The white pepper gravy was delicious. The Salisbury steak (I got to try a couple of bites) was very also delicious, came with mushrooms and onions. This platter had the mashed potatoes served with brown gravy. I would definitely recommend this place with its excellent service and food.

The reason for the 3. Burnt onion rings and 2 of us did not get to eat with the rest of our table. By the time I got my club sandwich and onion rings everyone else, 4 others, was done eating. Not to mention the burnt crispy onion rings. The ambiance was casual. The place came highly recommended. I probably will never go again. Staff was nice enough.

Fish and Chips are great come with coleslaw. Steak and baked potato was amazing. The steak is so delicious. Service is perfect and friendly. Ambiance is a clean and neat wonderfully decorated. If you're in Yuma or even California and doing a day trip over or at the sand dunes, this is the perfect place to take the family. I highly recommend trying this restaurant. Thank you to the cooks and staff for the best meal I've had in a long time.

Today we stopped by Izzie's Diner for the first time & were truly delighted with our visit. The staff were welcoming & on point. The diner was not too busy for a Saturday afternoon, but numerous new guests arrived right after us so it really added to the experience. We were promptly greeted/seated upon arrival. The restaurant is a typical diner atmosphere with classic 80's music quietly playing & a tv with the news (muted) on behind the counter. Hubby ordered the French Dip with fries which was delicious. I ordered the fish & chips with coleslaw this too was delicious with the fish being perfectly cooked & not oily at all. The coleslaw was a traditional recipe that was an excellent addition to the fish. As this was our first time here we were admiring the various orders from the other diner occupants, the orders ranged from the nachos (huge plate of deliciousness) hamburger, quesadilla, chicken wings, breakfast plates to the loaded fries. Everything that we observed looked amazing & were huge serving sizes. We felt the price was perfect for the amount of food we received & look forward to sampling more from Izzie's Diner.

My girlfriend was supposed to have her car serviced at the dealership today. A wrench was thrown in the works, so the three of us met for breakfast. My boyfriend and I had already had breakfast, so we ordered off the lunch menu. I had a fried chicken sandwich, he had the chicken Caesar wrap. GF got the churro French toast breakfast plate with poached eggs and bacon. The waitress (Caitlin?) didn't pay much attention to our table. When we got our food, the fried chicken breast in the sandwich was lukewarm and she didn't ask about any sauce (ranch, etc) for the onion rings. The lady had to ask for the poached eggs and bacon. Also, she ordered an iced mocha with oat milk and caramel. Correct me if I'm wrong, but nowhere on the menu did it say that oat milk is an additional cost. Caramel was an additional cost. For a puny little iced coffee it ended up being $10. No refills. And we had to ask for ranch. She filled up my boyfriend's water glass and not mine. If it's empty, fill it. It's a hundred and something outside, please make sure all your guests are hydrated. The bill was $70. The lunches were extremely overpriced for what we got, to be honest. I know that prices have gone up and that inflation is a thing. I get that, I really do. The chicken sandwich was definitely not worth $15 and although the onion rings were good (and I'm thankful we weren't charged extra for them), it was still a letdown. This was akin to a $12 combo meal at a fast food joint. The first time I was here was a couple months ago. I had ordered the Denver omelette and when the waitress came out, she brought the wrong omelette ,(the three meat) out and didn't even try to correct her mistake even AFTER I had said it was wrong. That waitress was also inattentive and ignored us for the majority of our meal. We don't eat out a whole lot so it's a treat when we do. Less of a treat to receive subpar, overpriced food and subpar service. Sorry.

Never in a million years would I have combined my mothers tuna salad recipe minus pickles with Ortega style green chilies. A salad of lettuce and two thick slices of tomatoes were dressed with a delicate oil and vinegar combo. I might not order this dish again but it was light and yummy. Was the coleslaw called?? it was!!! But as I looked at the three planks of fish, my heart sink. Greasy glisten of the tempera like batter concerned me.. the batter was tough and I was unable to cut it with a fork. The tartar sauce was tasty and with a squeeze of lemon on the fish I was delighted to finally have food. I was only able to eat halfway through the first piece of fish before I started peeling away the batter once all three were released from their tough greasy death shrouds... I was able to enjoy about three ounces of fish! The server was attentive and offered a fresh decaf coffee cup to go! I have no idea what was going on at Black Bear last night . Absolutely not what we have experienced previously. The chili was spicy. The coleslaw was fresh.. the 1st cup of decaf was deplorable! Better days ahead I'm hoping !

Yep it's back by popular demand but it's now called egg in a nest. What the heck? Anyway every one ordered something different and we ate to our hearts content and had no complaints whatsoever about the food, the ambiance or the cleanliness. Chicken fried chicken dinner evaporated from his plate. The burger and onion petals seemed to have delighted the nephew. One of the ladies in our party seemed happy with her chicken strips, which were more than abundant! Another ordered a diet plate of some sort with cottage cheese and sliced tomatoes and was especially happy. A new item on the menu appealed to another. Louisiana shrimp skillet. Was flavorful, and those who tasted the nice portion of shrimp agreed that it was surprisingly delicious. The side, dishes of okra, and greens are always favorites. All of us commented on the new menu. Although we missed the old format, this one is easier to hold, and the print is bold enough that you're not needing to use your flashlight if you're older like we are. We are thankful that the menu has the old favorites, something new and that Cracker Barrel values its customers. It's such a nice thing to be able to travel and dine at any location and feel like your unfamiliar surroundings. But I wonder why is that there are so many locals who freely admit that they have never yet dined here? One maintenance issue... the latch on the ladies handicap stall door is STILL needing to be fixed! One issue with our visit. Not once were we offered refills on beverages.
