We got there just in time cause literally 5 mins after we sat down the place was full. The space is narrow but very intimate. The back area is the bar and a brighter area. The owners personally greeted us and made us feel right at home. He even had to move his stuff so we could be seated, they took the time to check on us often. We ordered a Mai Tai, and he suggested trying their "Mack's Special Mai Thai" along with Thai Iced-Tini for a birthday twist -- such a fun and creative idea! The bartender even came over to confirm the mix, which shows how much care they put into their drinks. You can tell they're real cocktail connoisseurs. One of the coolest touches: each table has a little lightbulb that turns on when you put it in the middle (no wires attached) -- so unique and cozy! The best service I've ever had from a speakeasy/bar/ANYTHING IN FLUSHING! The definition of a hidden gem. We came in just to try the Happy Hour menu, $1.75/oyster is unbelievable. Everything was just as good if not better than any speakeasy bar joint in Manhattan. Waitstaff all spoke English, a rarity in Flushing where Mandarin is the default. Around round 2, the owner came to our table to check in and give his recommendations. We were split between the burger and cooked oysters, ultimately decided on the later... BUT HE PUT THE BURGER ON THE HOUSE! I am a Flushing native- born, raised, and living around 4 blocks away. To say I'm local is an understatement. I'm so glad this place is here. Everyone we encountered was so attentive and quality of everything from food, drinks, and ambiance was excellent. This place has the best smash burger in Flushing, maybe even the best in NY. I've been a couple of times now and haven't had a food or drink item that I didn't like. I liked this place so much I even hosted a private party here. The owner was super responsive and worked with us to find the right combination of food and drinks for our guests. The place is already very cute and vibe-y and they let us come early to set up some minor decorations too. Everyone there was super attentive and kept the drinks flowing. They also seem to have a collection of unique wine, liquor, and beers that were recommending and it was really fun to try something new. All my friends and family were so impressed and couldn't stop raving about the food, the drinks, and the service. I got in late to a near-by hotel. I just wanted a quick beverage before going to sleep for an early flight. The hotel recommended IYKYK. It was perfect. It has a small bar and is more of a lounge. Because it was late, only one other nice gentleman was at the bar. Kurt, the bartender, was phenomenal! The gentleman next to me really liked tequila. The conversation we had was awesome and it is obvious Kurt has studied his craft! Mac, the owner, joined us for awhile and he was delightful, as well.
