In another example of corporate over customers Ivars has decided the self serve condiments are OUT!! I'm already paying 25 bucks for a 5 piece fish and fries with drink and tip. Having to beg for 1oz condiment cups is ridiculous especially when it's busy. In addition the tartar sauce in the little cups is awful and has a weird after taste compared to the fresh condiment bar. We were greeted as we entered the restaurant and helped right away. The woman who took our order, explain the menu gave us some ideas. The restaurant was clean and inviting. The food was very delicious. I got one fish taco and one shrimp taco and I will definitely order them again. The fish and chips were delicious and of course, the famous clam chowder was amazing. We love going to Ivars in Everett. The people who work there are very friendly and helpful. But the prices are getting out of hand. We got two 5 piece cod and 2 fountain drinks and it was $48. Ivar's has been my go to for fish n chips for years. Love the white chowder. And there's variety, fish, jumbo shrimp, clams etc. the Caesar salad is well flavored. I only wish they were more consistent. Sometimes the fish is cooked perfectly. Other times it's over cooked and dry, it even seems like the coating isn't the same light batter. But, I keep going because when it's good, it's YUM! I have been to many other locations but I go to this location the most so whether or not other locations have the same inconsistency I couldn't say. read more

We decided to pickup dinner from Ivar's tonight we've been doing that for years. We went with the Barge which is a fair amount of fish and chips and a couple of cups of clam chowder.I also selected oysters and chips. We got here not long before closing, visiting out of town and because it was late didn't have a lot of options. Decided to try the food anyway and it was horrible. We hadn't been to an Ivar's since 2021 because, generally, the food quality had really gone downhill. Recently, hoping that things had improved, we ordered takeout from the 41st Street location in Everett. The staff was great and very nice. Unfortunately, the food was absolutely disgusting. The fish was greasy and had the consistency of rubber, as though it had been under heat lamps for hours. The french fries were soggy and drowning in oil. And even the White Clam Chowder was only so-so. We just threw most of it away since it was inedible. I wish this hadn't been the case because we used to really enjoy Ivar's fish & chips...but I think this was the last time we'll be taking a chance on them. read more

We got the original fish and chips after going back and forth deciding between the salmon and combination options, which I observed to be a popular order when we were dining near the ordering counter. The original fish and chips came out hot and fresh. We loved them. Our friends recommended the clam chowder but we didn't have the appetite built up to try that one. But I'd trust their recommendation and go for the clam chowder if you can. Before we left, a worker came by and personally delivered mints and hand wipes to each customer. There was this young gentleman Samir running the front of house like a boss! The way he talks to people just shows me this kid was raised right! He immediately acknowledged my wife and l as we walked in, asked us how our days were, and just all in all made dinner for my wife and I 10x better. I first discovered my love of all things Ivar's way back when they had a food court location at Bellis Fair mall. I now have to trek quite a bit further to get my fix. Others enjoy their lightly breaded fish, but I come for the overly battered clam strips. Stay clam everyone. Since I find it usually isn't enough, I also order the clam chowder. I prefer the white, because tomatoes and clam chowder should never be in the same pot/bowl. As their prices continue to rise, I hesitantly only offer 4 stars as the value has gone down. Dropped by the walk-up Ivar's down by the Mukilteo ferry dock. There is no substitute for going inside the restaurant and sitting down for a great dinner. So, do that if you can. It's great. The grab and go is good though! I had the three piece fish and chips and Red Clam Chowder. They were all hot and warmed me up on a cold day. The chowder and chips were especially good. Their chowder is absolutely awesome. The chips were a bit crispy on the outside and what seemed to be tad under cooked and a bit wet (not moist, wet). But I think this was just a one off. They've always been great. It's been awhile since I've been to Ivar's. Way too long. I need to go more often. The outside is a good business move. It was helpful to me tonight. Yet, if you've not been inside and sat down, I highly recommend it. But, really I recommend you get it however, and when ever, you can get it. read more

I personally am a fan of good fish and chips so I was really looking forward to eating at Ivars - Seattles renowned fish and chips restaurant. Stopped by this place on our way back from Mount Baker. We ordered the original fish and chips & cajun fish and chips. While the cajun fish and chips were great the original ones lacked some seasoning. The fish tasted fresh and melted in the mouth but it defintely lacked some flavors and seasoning. Food is priced reasonably and customer service is great. If i do stop by again I will definitely recommend having their cajun fish and chips. read more

Fish and chips 3pc with a "tanker" of clam chowder for me please! Wasn't sure what a tanker was but at $10 it sounded like a deal and oh it was! I Probably got about 4 bowls out of it. I came by on a Wednesday around 4 and it wasn't busy at all, i was able to walk in with nobody else around and waited in my car next to 3 other cars who were also waiting for there meals to be brought out to them.
