Contacted IV for a bathroom estimate . Melissa, I guess in the office, Said no problem and asked that I send them current pics. Few days later sent me an email advising they "recommend" having their design consultant, come out and do her design thing. It would cost $100 and if we liked the estimate it would go towards the cost. I don't need it and didn't ask for it. I guess that's there way of charging for an "estimate" Melissa also said the owner is a designer. If that's so, his expertise should be part of the process automatically. You know, the cost of doing business. I read in a previous review that their estimate was done contactless with photos sent by the customer. Looks like that's NOT their process any longer. I'm guessing they have enough work and don't need any new stuff?? read more

I reached out to dozens of remodeling companies on Yelp for help with a couple project (described below). I focused on 4.5 star contractors and was having the hardest time finding an outfit that didn't have a 6-month waiting list or a $100K project minimum. IV responded back and Jose came out to look at the work. He provided a quote within 24 hours and said he'd be able to get his crew starting the following week. The combination of responsiveness, price and ability to start within a week were the main reasons we selected IV. We had just purchase a new home in NW Hills and immediately wanted to remove a wall in the kitchen to open up the family room and kitchen. We also wanted our powder room completely remodeled and a ceiling fan put in our living room where there was no fan or light to work with. I ended up having IV do some blinds and install a dining room light as well. Once we took the wall down, we saw that'd we'd need to re-frame the area a bit and redistribute some load. IV took their time and brought in different crews with expertise in framing and load. I was glad they didn't cut any corners there. The finish-out required new crown molding, moving a cabinet to the other wall (which required cutting the cabinet in half). All the work was done very well with good attention to detail. For the bathroom, they custom built us a new cabinet with marble, removed wall paper, re-textured and floated and painted the entire room. For the fan, they had to cut a large portion of ceiling drywall and wall drywall to wire the fan to the switch. They matched the paint and texture extremely well. Ultimately, it was about a 3-week job, I think we really were targeting 1.5-2 weeks, but things came up. There were a couple days where work slowed down as they managed other jobs, but overall expectations were set, and ultimately they beat the deadline before we had family coming in to visit. I worked exclusively with Jose who managed our project and was extremely responsive, friendly, professional and efficient. I've never met such a responsive project manager. Every crew member that came worked hard and were very friendly. I'd hire these guys again in a heartbeat. Looking back at the amount of men, material, expertise and man-hours, I think the value of what we paid for the work was extremely good. They beat other quotes by a reasonable margin and didn't nickel and dime me when surprises or scope creep showed up. Very happy we chose them! read more

We (Austin Investment Realty) have been working with Isrreal and his team for over 3-years. I own residential properties in Austin and I have a real estate business where my clients purchase properties and need to renovate them very quickly. Isrreal has always been professional and courteous to all of my clients and he and his crew are thorough and do fantastic work. I can be very demanding and sometimes have high end properties where clients will notice any flaw or mistake. Luckily Isreal always comes through! From complete bathroom and kitchen remodels to interior painting and exterior work, they can do it all. I have also read some of the other reviews. There was one lady who was upset about how Isrreal was providing his opinion on the interior paint color. Keep in mind, Isrreal does this for a living and he knows what looks good and what doesn't. Personally, I ask for his opinion rather than trying to recreate the wheel. Case in point, he gave me a great idea to add a wine cabinet over the fridge since the existing cabinet was a waste and was unreachable. Thankfully, I took his advice and now I have a beautiful cabinet that I use everyday. Just remember, there are consultants out there that charge a pretty penny for their opinion. If a dentist tells you you have a cavity, don't be offended, just try to listen to them. read more

They repainted the baseboards, did paint touch-ups, caulked and grouted, repaired doors that were missing chunks, and even fixed baseboards and furniture where our husky had gnawed on them. We recently had new cabinets and countertops installed and we hired IV Remodeling to install microwave, tile backsplash and some minor electrical and other drywall patch work.
