Within minutes I was scheduled and he sent Kizzy and Alice to help me out. For context, this was a 4-hour deep clean for my one bedroom apartment that included baseboards, organizing, and even laundry. I have a shihpoo who demands a lot of attention, so keeping up with deep cleaning can sometimes get away from me. When I say they saved my life, I'm not exaggerating. Kizzy and Alice absolutely delivered. They cleaned my apartment top to bottom. Baseboards, surfaces, floors, everything. They even did my laundry which was such a huge help. I stepped out to run errands while they worked and came back about four hours later to an apartment that felt completely reset. The space looked amazing and felt so much lighter. Beyond the quality of the cleaning, they were also just lovely people. Polite, helpful, respectful of my space, and they even gave my dog some love while they were here. They took all the trash with them when they left which I really appreciated. From the quick scheduling with Alex to the incredible work from Kizzy and Alice, this was such a great experience. The cleaning crew arrived at 9:00 a.m., and by 1:00 p.m. they informed me that only about 50% of the home had been completed and that they needed an additional $600 to finish the job. What made the situation even more frustrating was that I was effectively left with no choice. At that point, half of the house had already been cleaned, leaving me to either pay the additional $600 or have the company walk away with the job unfinished. As the owner of a property management company, I found this business practice extremely concerning and unprofessional. If the scope of work was underestimated, that should have been identified before the work began, not after the customer is already committed. In my opinion, this pricing approach feels misleading and unethical. I would strongly encourage others to get all pricing and expectations in writing before hiring this company.

I brought in several Crate & Barrel curtain panels valued at approximately $900 for dry cleaning. Because of the cost of the curtains and the fact that they were in excellent condition, I specifically asked the owner, Sam, about potential risks before signing the waiver. During that conversation, Sam told me that pilling was a possibility, but he also stated that he had never personally encountered a situation where a customer's curtains experienced an adverse outcome from the cleaning process. He reassured me that everything would be fine. At no point did he mention shrinkage as a potential risk. That distinction is important because if I had been informed that shrinkage was a realistic possibility, I would not have proceeded with a nearly $400 dry-cleaning service on $900 curtains. I would have simply replaced them. Unfortunately, after cleaning, the curtains no longer matched in length. Panels that previously pooled slightly on the floor are now hanging approximately 3-5 inches above the floor, and the lengths appear inconsistent from panel to panel. In addition, the curtains appear to have been pressed improperly. The fabric no longer hangs straight. Instead, the sides appear narrower near the top and wider near the bottom, creating a noticeable billowing or hourglass effect. When I raised this concern, Sam acknowledged that the pressing issue was human error. I should note that I was unable to pick up the curtains for approximately a month due to a medical emergency. However, the condition of the curtains upon pickup does not change the fact that the shrinkage and pressing issues occurred during the cleaning and finishing process. What ultimately prompted this review was not just the outcome, but how the situation was handled. I spent approximately 20 minutes on the phone with Sam attempting to discuss the issue calmly and professionally. Rather than addressing the specific concerns I raised, he repeatedly insisted that I had been warned, despite the fact that shrinkage had never been mentioned. The conversation frequently drifted into broad generalizations about waivers and customer responsibility rather than the specific facts of what had been disclosed to me before I signed. When I explained that there is a meaningful difference between being warned about pilling and being warned about shrinkage, he maintained that shrinkage fell under the general umbrella of possible damage and that he could not be expected to list every potential outcome. I disagreed. When a customer specifically asks about risks, they deserve enough information to make an informed decision. I also found it unreasonable that I was told I could receive either a $50 accommodation for the shrinkage issue or have the curtains re-pressed to correct the acknowledged pressing error--but not both. These are two separate issues. One relates to the cleaning outcome, while the other relates to admitted workmanship during finishing. Perhaps most disappointing was being told that providing any additional accommodation would essentially amount to "running a charity instead of a business." After spending nearly $400 on the service and receiving curtains that no longer fit or hang properly, that comment felt dismissive and unnecessarily insulting. Had Sam simply acknowledged that shrinkage should have been discussed, shown some empathy, and worked collaboratively toward a reasonable solution, I likely would not be writing this review. Instead, I was left with damaged curtains, no meaningful resolution, and a conversation that left me feeling unheard and blamed for an outcome I specifically tried to avoid by asking questions upfront.

Originally I called him last month to regrout outdoor stairs tile. In the course of removing the…read moregrout , he said that the underlayment was water damaged and he removed 5 treads of tile to explore and possibly replace the undergarment. It was water damaged, and the risers and the treads had to be replaced. However, he "doesn't do wood "so I had to engage someone else to replace the plywood on the risers and the treads, which I did. He returned and we went jointly to Dahl tile to have me buy some Triton water board and some red guard for waterproofing. He wanted me to use a Schluter metal edge guard as opposed to replicating the original 45° mitered edge where the riser tile and the tread tile come together in a grouted joint. That design change ( which is easier on the installer) would result in a metal half inch rim /strip running across the top of all the stairs risers . I have quite a bit of this tile inside and outside my house and it's all done in that tile edge to tile edge fashion without an intervening and visible metal strip He said he's unable to adjust his tile saw to that 45 degree angle and was not gonna be able to apply the tile in the original angled edge to angled edge configuration withOUT the Schluter edge. I asked him why he's telling me after he had removed the tile and a visit to the Dahl tile that he could not install the tile in the original configuration . He became annoyed and agitated and essentially walked off from the job site at 10am with the removed tile and 5 buckets of trash and a stack of unused triton board that I had paid for (that he did not fully install ) .,,,, just sitting there on my patio I never heard from him again. I never had anybody walk off a job site like that , especially after getting that deep into the job. Maybe he is good with grout repair ... Doubt I will ever know .
