I usually come once a week. Generally I get a matcha based drink such as the Matchata or the Matcha Milk Tea with Boba. The majority of the time both drinks are good but the quality between visits are inconsistent. My issues are mainly around the amount of Matcha in the drinks. Half of the time a good portion of Matcha is put in and creates a nice dark verdant green when mixed. The other half of the time there's barely any matcha and it's just a yellow/light greenish color after mixing with barely any matcha flavor. I've had Boba Time many times before, but never at this location. I ordered my usual Green Apple Slush with boba and was very disappointed. It was so watery and didn't taste anything like it. Very disappointing! Recently, I've been going to other boba stores because Boba Time isn't as high quality. This is place in a perfect spot in the middle of the collection so you can pass by and then get your shopping on. I have tried a few different drinks and my favorite has to be the pistachio frappe. I lost all hope for boba in Ventura county until coming here twice this week. I had the rose matcha milk tea with boba on Monday and then the Cheese Foam (Sea Salt) jasmine matcha today. Both were very good considering all the other boba I have had in Ventura County. It's nice to know I don't have to drive all the way to Bon Bon in Northridge for some good boba. I noticed there's a lot of people complaining about the inconsistency of flavor but the matcha has been pretty on point for me this week. Being at the mall we were concerned that we would be waiting for a while to order and get our drinks, but we were very impressed. Though there was a line when we arrived, the ordering process was extremely efficient. The large menu is easy to see and had pictures which made ordering a breeze even fir my kids since the menu was counter height. Also as we order I could see on the screen what the gal was typing in - no chance for errors even with her behind plexiglass and wearing a mask. Used Apple Pay and done! Came by right before they opened and a line was already forming. There's an option to order online which I would recommend considering the huge variety of drinks to choose from and the line. I went to Boba Time at the collection and in my mouth after I sipped my drink I found a piece of glass in my drink . I called to get my refund and the manager Hannah agreed to give a refund and I went and showed them the piece of glass and gave them back they're drinks and the manager refused to come outside and gave me a partial refund. I work in the food industry and as a manager even if I'm on my break I would come out and take care of an extremely important problem such as finding BROKEN GLASS IN MY DRINK that was totally unacceptable and disgusting that she couldn't face me and go through her word. As I went I didn't make a scene but that is just unacceptable. Really excited to finally have a boba place near us, I had the Jasmine milk tea which was delicious and boba was nice and soft. Excited to try some of the other flavors. The only complaint I had is my friends ordered their drink after me and got their drinks before me. I'm a pretty patient/understanding person when it come to food service, but it seems their order service was a bit disorganized and I was waiting for a good 10-15 minutes while my friends got their drinks within 5 minutes.
