I made sure he had my phone number and forwarded the content to him via email and he assured me I could pick it up on Friday. I came in Friday and he told me "oh, I couldn't do it" Stunned I asked "Why not?" He explained the way the slides were laid out, he couldn't print them in order. I said, trying to hide my frustration, "I wish you would have called me. I could have adjusted it for you." He replied, " I couldn't find your number. Mind you, he had my email because the content was sent to him via email but whatever. I tried to adjust the layout on the computer in the shop, but while I was trying, he figured it out. That to me meant if he had spent a few minutes trying to figure it out while doing the job, he could have completed the job. Now he assured me I could pick it up on Monday. I called before I got there because they close at 5 and it was 4:30 and I was just getting to the commuter lot. I wanted to make sure he knew I was still coming to pick it up. Good thing I called because when I got there at 4:45, he was just printing it. It was almost like he heard my message and thought, crap I better do that now. When I finished he gave me this poorly laid out book and the whole book is out of order. The last page is the first page. A simple two minute read through or at least comparison with what I provided would have made it obvious this was out of order. Annoyed, but still being too pleasant, I told him it was out of order. He put the pages in order and printed it again. This time it was in order but it just looks stupid. There is a cover image with a blank page right next to it. (See photo) as a professional printer, I would have been embarrassed to present this to a customer. Now I don't have time to get this reprinted and I'm stuck with 5 copies of a book I'm embarrassed to present to anyone.. In all of the errors and communication failures, not once did he apologize or express a single ounce of remorse for this poor service. This job was handled so poorly, I felt disrespected. I'm not sure why my experience is so different from whomever gave him 5 stars, but I wouldn't use this shop to make a single copy

Took my laptop to TCS to repair the cracked screen (still functional, just couldn't see part of the…read morescreen), and they said they could fix it. After a few weeks, I called and they said my computer was now not turning on. I frequently had to call them to get updates on my laptop, and after months of no improvements, I asked for my laptop back to take it to another repair place. They returned it with no screen, the wrong screws in the base, and tried to hand me two different chargers before finding mine. My computer was unrepairable in that state, so I lost a $1,000+ computer from a cracked screen. I would have appreciated an honest approach by saying that they could not help fix it, but instead my computer was broken. They waived the service fee, which I appreciated, but this was trivial compared to the price of a new laptop. Edit: I have now included two photos of the card given to me in regard to the repair. Evolution prints all of our signage (including retractables) and collateral materials, and they always look great! And they have pointed out mistakes prior to printing several times which saved us money. And they are always there for us. Last week was our conference. Evo printed out Avery name tags which looked great. But I realized the day before when I went to stuff them that the generic plastic name tag holders I bought were tight -- too small for the name tags to fit into. I called Evo and although it was late in the day, they had me drop off the name tags so they could trim them down for me ever so slightly and neatly with a professional machine cutter for a clean finish. It was a big save.
