I've been going to Evolution Printing for five years now. They are more of a partner than a vendor. I live in Manassas and manage two sizable events in Washington, DC every year. Evolution prints all of our signage (including retractables) and collateral materials, and they always look great! And they have pointed out mistakes prior to printing several times which saved us money. And they are always there for us. Last week was our conference. Evo printed out Avery name tags which looked great. But I realized the day before when I went to stuff them that the generic plastic name tag holders I bought were tight -- too small for the name tags to fit into. I called Evo and although it was late in the day, they had me drop off the name tags so they could trim them down for me ever so slightly and neatly with a professional machine cutter for a clean finish. This was my experience: ONE photo 11"x14" $36.62, yes, that's right. Pricey. Add to that $12 shipping. I thought delivery was included in the price but I was wrong. Business cards: embossed in golden or silver but they'll do it ONLY if you purchase 1000. My husband's clients are mostly international, it was for me, 50 cards is an ok number. Later on some women in Greg's business contacted me with a request of explanations instead of an apology for the bad experience??! Lol, that was surprising. So my husband call their office and we just receive an email confirmation with the order refunded to the original payment method. Simple simple. read more

Please allow me to vent a moment. I mean, venting, in the most positive way.... First and foremost, both Heather and Tiffany have been outstanding in the level of service they provided our start-up. Since day-1, they have bent over backwards to make sure we had all of our orders filled.....before the promised time! This was no easy task mainly due to the fact that I did not know exactly what we wanted, how we wanted it, and we needed it by yesterday. They were cool, calm, knowledgeable, very competent, and very professional. The level of communication was outstanding and they walked me through the entire process. Only place I'll go to get my printing done. As a graphic design student they did work for me with incredibly fast turn-around times (because God forbid we do anything ahead of time as students), and always produced perfect prints for me. Overall, we are pretty happy with this work. Although, we did not like the way that the words crossed into the orange border of the sign at the tops and bottom. The text is a little oddly sized, but that is purely a design error on our part. My business used Evolution Printing for over a year for business cards, and a variety of other business needs. The customer service was typically okay, but far from the best. We continued to do business there because the products we received were always good, though usually a result of our numerous revision requests. We recently (a few months ago) purchased a few thousand service tickets there. Upon opening the boxes we discovered Evolution Printing had stamped the ticket numbers on a line reserved for our in-house work order number. We contacted Evolution Printing to see what could be done. Greg (one of the owners) stated that he was unsympathetic because the service tickets had been printed months before. "As a compromise," Greg offered to split the reprint cost "50/50." I told Greg that I felt this was unreasonable, as: we did previously instruct Evolution Printing as to the location of the ticket numbers, and we were unable to review the location of ticket number on the service ticket as it was not included on the proof. Greg disagreed, and stated that they would not reprint the service tickets. I told them that I would no longer use their services for anything, and that I would obtain future printing services somewhere else. Later that day in an email, they offered to reprint the service tickets at no additional costs to me. But they also stated that they would no longer serve me as a customer. I called them, and let them know that they would not need to reprint the service tickets as I would obtain them somewhere else at my own cost. It took them over a day to respond to my email containing a scanned image of the offending service ticket. And the response was just an email acknowledging my complaint, and it informed me that I would be contacted... Another 24 hours later I received another email. A good customer service tip would be to call a customer if there is an issue with a service or product. But in the end it was not about the cost of the service tickets. It was about their customer service and their failure to stand behind the product they created. Evolution Printing's products are okay, but their customer service would receive 0 stars. read more

We found Evolution Printng through Google while looking for a company to print our wedding invitations. Greg was very helpful, and curtious. He really seemed to care about the appearance of the the invitations and worked on resizing and correcting where needed.
