She always creates such a fun, friendly, and chill vibe that I always look forward to seeing her every time! She has been my go to nail artist for over a year now. I love her attention to detail and the her willingness to pivot if needed (which hardly happens!) so much as well. It truly makes me feel like she cares about the clients' happiness unlike those other nail artists who tend to rush you. I used to have anxiety from getting my nails done because my hands tend to be very shaky but she is kind, patient, and understanding when working on me. I once ended up ripping my whole pinky nail off (eww I know) but Cat was super reassuring and provided nail growth tips to guide me through the healing process ! She's also transitioned me from acrylic to builder gel and I swear I'm never going back. My nails have never felt more healthy and my lungs are happy to not be breathing in those fumes anymore lol Her style is super versatile and I've never left disappointed. I think this is the only place I have gone to that does this. Especially for pedicures, this helps ease my mind to avoid toe nail fungus. I have been seen by many different technicians here and really enjoy all their work. For Hard Gel, I find that Brian does a great job every time. The place looks clean and nice. They have music videos playing in the background and I always find myself relaxed while I'm there.

Being asked to come back just for a polish touch-up would inconvenience me even more after an already incomplete experience. I stand by my original review. Came here to get short almond gel x nails with a French tip design for my wedding nails. I showed inspo pics and requested that the white not be super stark white compared to the pink. My nail tech started off with a thicker French tip to cover the natural nail peeking out under the gel tip. However that did not fit my vision so I asked for a thinner tip. She did mention that you would be able to see the natural nail under the tip and I said it was ok. I realized after I got home that the pink base coat was essentially clear and the natural nail showed in an obvious way in photos even though I thought it looked ok in person. I did not bring this up to the salon because I figured I just chose the wrong design and decided to just go somewhere else to just get a solid color all over. While getting my polish changed at the other salon, the nail tech noticed that my cuticles were completely covered in gel and had to take an extra 10-15 mins just drilling all the gel off my cuticles otherwise it wouldn't have grown out smoothly. She also fixed the nail shape because it was super pointy for almond in my opinion. My reason for my rating is because gel is not good to constantly get on skin. I did notice my original tech at moongirlnails used a brush to wipe off the gel after each tip application which I didn't love since other places I've been to have known how much gel to apply to avoid overflow. Using excess glue and going back to clean up is not good technique in my opinion. And seeing that the excess was not even fully wiped off and left on my cuticles, I cannot in good faith recommend this salon if you want to avoid developing a gel allergy.

She did mention that I could have spoken up during the initial service & I told her straight up like girl I absolutely did & this is what he gave me. What else am I supposed to do?? She recommended booking with her next time, lol. The owner/manager was very responsive to my concerns & rush to get my nails fixed, which I so appreciate. But at the end of the day, I did not receive the nails I requested. Because of this experience, I don't think I would return.
