She always creates such a fun, friendly, and chill vibe that I always look forward to seeing her every time! She has been my go to nail artist for over a year now. I love her attention to detail and the her willingness to pivot if needed (which hardly happens!) so much as well. It truly makes me feel like she cares about the clients' happiness unlike those other nail artists who tend to rush you. I used to have anxiety from getting my nails done because my hands tend to be very shaky but she is kind, patient, and understanding when working on me. I once ended up ripping my whole pinky nail off (eww I know) but Cat was super reassuring and provided nail growth tips to guide me through the healing process ! She's also transitioned me from acrylic to builder gel and I swear I'm never going back. My nails have never felt more healthy and my lungs are happy to not be breathing in those fumes anymore lol Her style is super versatile and I've never left disappointed. I used to stick to very basic designs (as you can see in the pics) and now I'm much more open to more fun design styles. Regardless, her knowledge and experience in different nail application techniques as well as design and artwork is what keeps me coming back. I truly love that I've found someone so trust worthy and patient who's guided me through my nail glow up journey! Glad i did. The owner was a nice man who was present and engaging with customers and the employees. I went on a Tuesday for my birthday and i was surprised how busy they were for being a Tuesday early afternoon! The shop was clean and well lit and I didn't see if they had wifi connection but you had good signal nonetheless. There were TVs but they weren't on but they had music on and it wasn't over powering. I liked there was plenty of parking too! They didn't have much selection for colors so maybe bring your own if you have your heart set on a certain color especially if it's an obscure one. I didn't do my hands (only because I don't ever do my hands) The pedicure chair was comfy and roomy and my pedicure was great! They accept cards as payments, but please bring cash for a tip! I'm definitely going back. And wear your Mexico jersey for a discount! (I only grabbed two pictures!) ETA I took off a star for lack of color choices and it was pretty warm in there. Instead of aggressively drilling down or yanking my old set off, he removed them with so much care, which I really appreciated. My rating is strictly for gel x application and overall salon experience, not the nail design I was…read moreunsatisfied with because that is mostly on me. Came here to get short almond gel x nails with a French tip design for my wedding nails. I showed inspo pics and requested that the white not be super stark white compared to the pink. My nail tech started off with a thicker French tip to cover the natural nail peeking out under the gel tip. However that did not fit my vision so I asked for a thinner tip. She did mention that you would be able to see the natural nail under the tip and I said it was ok. I realized after I got home that the pink base coat was essentially clear and the natural nail showed in an obvious way in photos even though I thought it looked ok in person. I did not bring this up to the salon because I figured I just chose the wrong design and decided to just go somewhere else to just get a solid color all over. While getting my polish changed at the other salon, the nail tech noticed that my cuticles were completely covered in gel and had to take an extra 10-15 mins just drilling all the gel off my cuticles otherwise it wouldn't have grown out smoothly. She also fixed the nail shape because it was super pointy for almond in my opinion. My reason for my rating is because gel is not good to constantly get on skin. I did notice my original tech at moongirlnails used a brush to wipe off the gel after each tip application which I didn't love since other places I've been to have known how much gel to apply to avoid overflow. Using excess glue and going back to clean up is not good technique in my opinion. And seeing that the excess was not even fully wiped off and left on my cuticles, I cannot in good faith recommend this salon if you want to avoid developing a gel allergy.
