Guess they must be doing extremely well to turn down business. Give them a 1 for lack of customer service. Won't be recommending them to anyone I know. read more

Poor service. I called after searching for someone to help open my pool and paid them a total of $621.50. They would come one day, spend 30-45 minutes and then leave. No communication what to do until the next time and no follow up on what I needed to do to help get the pool cleaner faster. After I finally had enough, I called and spoke with the office manager and followed up with an email. The response? The owner replied by email giving me a rundown on my account info. I'm sorry but my complaints warranted at least a phone call. The owner has a full-time job and this is his side hustle so perhaps that has something to do with it. Suggestions for future: owner/senior pool technician come out to first consultation. Give an appropriate estimate of costs. You can then warrant multiple trips. read more

Unfortunately this year our experience wasn't very good. We paid 291 for a pool opening was suppose to consist of cleaning chemicals removal of cover. However the pool was left with mounds of leaves debris and dirt at the bottom including the shallow end. No scrubbing and it is still green. Nothing changed from last year in terms of pool condition. I am extremely disappointed in the service we received. They opened my pool, and serviced it weekly for 3 months, yet the pool was totally unusable the entire time, due to algae and cloudy water. I had Mustard Algae, and the technicians didn't know what it was or how to treat it. The owner came out to have a look and said I needed all new sand in my filter. I repeatedly mentioned that I believed it was mustard algae, and was blown off. After cancelling my service, I purchased the appropriate algaecide and had the water clean in 48 hours. I have been servicing it myself for the last month and a half, and haven't had another issue with algae or cloudy water. I paid my bill weekly, and am still being told that I have a balance due, but the services were never adequately performed. read more

Awful. Left a full bag of salt along with debris in the deep end as well as debris scattered in the grass. The water is very murky after their first visit. They are requesting more money to revisit. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!! This company is a disgrace. They came out on May 24th to start the opening of my pool. They dumped chemicals in and left. They came back on the 28th and didn't even get to the cleaning of my pool. They sent a technician out that has ZERO idea of what to do. He broke our system. The service manager that came out didn't do anything either. He left in the middle of the job without saying anything to us. We tracked down the company address and drove over there and explained our frustration about what went on and how unbelievably unprofessional it was. The service manager paid a visit that day and didn't even finish the cleaning of the pool, instead he argued with us about our system and left. I went out and paid out of pocket to repair what they broke. I came out of pocket and dumped in the back to blue myself and started cleaning the pool. Then today on June 1st they charged my card $316 and sent me an invoice for and has me listed as Blacklist DO NOT Service. Are you kidding me? So i called up there. Debbie tried to argue with me that they did the service. No you didn't. Your guy came day 1 and put chemical in. Day 2 a different guy came out and broke my equipment and that same day the opening still wasn't done. I paid to fix the equipment, i paid for the chemicals all the while your people didn't do anything and you want to have the nerve to charge me and Blacklist me. Once they know your number they won't answer you if things are going well. We tried to call the owner repeatedly and shocker NO ANSWER. This is the WORST company I have ever dealt with and WILL NEVER use them again. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, YOUR MONEY OR YOUR BREATH ON THIS COMPANY. read more

We called Island Pool to open our pool which we normally do but decided to give this company a try since it is owned by local firefighters. We were told the price would be $279 to open pool. We were then given a bill for almost $400 because they charged or overcharge for chemicals that we were never told that were not included in the price of opening the pool. Don't use a company that doesn't tell you the whole story upfront. read more

Absolute worst customer service I have ever encountered! As a real estate agent I hold myself and my contractors to extremely high standards but Island Pool Services does even register on the scale.. They proudly boast they are a fireman owned company but treated my MILITARY clients like they were scum for two weeks straight. If you need anything done in less than 60 days, good luck! Initial contact was made with Island Pool Services on 4/14 to install a pool liner. The house went under contract 4/21 with closing date of 5/19. The listing agent made the company aware of our deadline and we were assured everything would be installed in time for closing. The week of closing, still no liner. The listing agent and myself called and spoke to Debbie who lied MULTIPLE times over a two week period telling us "the contractor is coming out today" "he's on his way now" for him to never show up. Debbie even went as far as to say they couldn't install the pool liner the week of closing due to inclement whether.. we did not have inclement whether for 5 days the week of 5/14-5/19 that would have prevented installation. If you're going to flat out lie at least make it believable. I mean really.. The weekend and week after closing we were told day after day "he's coming" "he's on his way." The contractor finally shows up on 5/25 and tells me he's not aware of any closing deadline, otherwise, he would have prioritized us and gotten the job done. He then goes on to tell me the pool liner was delivered "quite a while ago" and he wasn't sure why it hadn't already been installed. Debbie was made aware countless times that my MILITARY clients were going to be HOMELESS if they did not get this done on time and she didn't even have the decency to relay that information to the contractor who would be performing the work! At this point Debbie stopped returning my calls, texts, and emails and barely responded to my clients and the listing agent. She showed no sympathy and did not even offer me an apology for the issues Island Pool Services caused. Her response was always "I'm just relaying to you what the contractor told me" "I'm doing the best I can to get him out there" "It will be done." The liner finally gets installed and after having MULTIPLE conversations with Debbie that the inspection could not be done without water in the pool, she sends the inspector out when there was little to no water in the pool. The inspector was able to check the motors but unable to check for leaks without water. When I questioned Debbie about it she stated they would not be coming back to check for leaks that if we'd like to hire them to perform that service it would cost my clients $95. How she sleeps at night is beyond me.. this company is HORRIBLE in my not so humble opinion!! read more

Spoke with Debbie for over a week regarding a pool liner install. After being told for over a month that it would be installed. She kept telling myself and the realtors that liner would be installed. After calling and texting and being promised that they were coming they have yet to show. They have had over a month to complete it and they promise and don't deliver. Do not waste your time or money!! read more

These wonderful people are reliable, fair priced and did a wonderful job. We have them come every time we go on vacation and come back to a perfect pool, perfect chemicals and I trust them 100%. read more
