Hole in the filter put a TON of diatomaceous earth into my pool. Have you ever tried to get diatomaceous earth out of the pool? The worst. I sent lots of pictures to them trying to figure out why my pool wasn't clearing up as they had said it would "in a few days". There was no response Called Leslie's and they helped me diagnose the problem. Oh ya! I also had to buy a new PUMP motor. Too bad as I had high hopes for the couple. Great Neck Pools installed a new inground pool liner for us in March 2019. Since it was too early…read moreto "open" the pool, the cover was placed back over it and the pool was opened in May. Upon opening we noticed several wrinkles in the floor of the new liner and we contacted Great Neck Pools about it on 5/23/19. Scott responded on 5/26/19 that he would come by and look at it...that was finally done on 6/26/19. By this point, the new liner was also pulling away from the coping in two spots. Scott said the wrinkles needed to be removed from the liner soon so they did not "set" in the pool. He said water would need to be drained down to a certain point in order for the liner to be repaired and he indicated that the work would be scheduled to be done right after the July 4th holiday. No one ever showed up to perform the work...or called to reschedule it. And apparently Scott left the company. After several more calls and emails, Jeff returned one call but has continued to ignore the problem. I'm assuming we will have to pay someone else to repair the shoddy work at this point. Both Scott and Jeff had ample time to correct the issue. I would never recommend doing business with Great Neck Pools. They do not respond to their customers nor do they stand behind their work. Beware.

He showed me where to order the right liner to be sent to me, then came out and spent most of a Sunday installing it. He gave me instructions to replace a portion of the filter line, and stayed available to me via text until I got that fixed successfully. They opened the pool in April of 2021 and with the exception of the first two weeks it has been green 3 times and so cloudy you cant see the bottom. I (son) contacted them and talked with Jesse and i explained the situation we were having, she told me someone would be out on Tuesday no one showed. I then talked to Steve who started his conversation with the reason it stays cloudy is that it doesn't have a chlorinator. This pool had no chlorinator the year before when they serviced it or in the 42 years my family has owned it. After a lengthy conversation he agreed to put a chlorinator on and no cost and we would see if that helped. On the following Monday he texted me and informed that he would no longer be servicing the pool and gave my mother a partial refund. He has refused to answer any of my calls. So now July prime pool time my 83 year old mother needs to find a company who can salvage the remaining pool season. Again i would not recommend this company to take care of a pool.
