This company I would never recommend them to anyone for a pool liner replacement…read more They installed a liner in my pool and they left all these big wrinkles in the floor and some on the wall in the deep end of the pool and also they left a cave in on the back wall were they pull a pipe out for the water table and after it was pull out that's when the wall cave in. The owner of the company said that he would replace the liner because it was measured wrong he said and also repair the sink hole. They told me after that the liner was on order and I call to see when they were going to come back and they would not call you back or at least text you back. So now I'm left with a pool that is not finished. This has been going on for months now. I can't believe that the summer is almost over and when they started on the pool it was spring. I hope no one will have to go through this on a pool liner replacement.

Then, without any prior confirmation, I suddenly received an "on our way" notification on Saturday, giving me approximately 40 minutes' notice. I was not available with such little notice, which is why I instructed the technician not to come. This was not me refusing a scheduled appointment--it was the direct result of your company's lack of communication and failure to provide an appointment window despite my repeated attempts to obtain one.

During the job, he dropped his scissors and punctured my pool liner. He patched the hole, but my liner now has a permanent patch because of damage that occurred while he was working on my pool. What bothered me even more was how the situation was handled afterward. I had been quoted $500 for the job, yet I received an invoice for $515 with no initial discount or adjustment whatsoever for the damage to my liner. When I called to discuss it, he genuinely seemed shocked that I would expect any sort of discount and felt I should still pay the full amount. I made it very clear that I was NOT expecting the job to be free. I simply felt that when a company damages a customer's property while performing a service, some reasonable compensation or adjustment should be made. After our conversation, he eventually offered 10% off the $515 invoice. Considering that I now have a hole and patch in a pool liner that did not have one before he arrived, I found that response incredibly disappointing. Accidents happen. I understand that. My issue is not simply that the scissors were dropped- it's how the company handled it afterward. Taking responsibility for damage to a customer's property and making a genuine effort to make it right is part of good customer service. Between being invoiced for more than the $500 I was quoted, initially being expected to pay the full amount despite the damage, and then having my concern treated as unreasonable, the entire situation felt very unprofessional. We bought a house with an older unground pool knowing that over the next few years it would need a…read moregood bit of "freshening up" Our first experience with fox pools was when we discovered we had a water leak from our pool pump. We had seen the fox pools vans around and decided to give them a call (07/2022). Fox came out within 24 hours and replaced our shaft seal and impeller and the leak was fixed. They totally could have taken advantage of new pool owners and tried to upswell us a whole new pump but they were honest and only fixed what needed to be fixed. The technicians were on time, very quick and knowledgeable. Also, fox pools texts you a link when they are on the way and you can see when the technician is on the way, when they are complete with the repair and when your invoice is ready. Think like the dominos pizza tracker! Very nice feature as we are sometimes not home when they come for service. Fast forward to the end of the season (11/2022) the motor for the pool pump went out (I tried replacing the start capacitor but still no good) the motor and pump assembly looked pretty old so I contacted fox pools and they recommended to only replace the electrical motor side as the water pump side more than likely still has a good bit of life left in it. Their recommendation saved us several hundred dollars. And to this day the pump is running great. Our the next summer after replacing the motor (06/2023) we went to open the pool and we were not getting the water clarity we were used to. Knowing that we had lived in the house for two years now and who knows when the previous homeowners had the sand changed out we decided it was time to have the sand changed out in our Hayward sand filter. Fox pools came in cheaper than other pool companies in the area and with their great work and communication we went ahead and got on their books. They were out in a few days and changed out the sand and inspected the laterals, they were very quick with the work and after that it was back to crystal clear water. Fast forward again this time to this week (10/23). Fox replaced our tattered old water bag tarp cover with a GLI promesh cover. Price was fair, turn around time was great and it looks fantastic. They also closed and winterized our pool at the same time. I'm shocked how efficient they are. Had the pool closed and new safety cover installed in about an hour and a half. In conclusion, Fox Pools is an honest, reliable and professional pool service who will take great care of your pool.
