I do not like posting negative reviews, which is why I haven't from 2014 until now. I just hate dealing with this company because it's always a struggle. So I'm writing my review now. I'm giving ONE STAR because my pool was built and I can swim in it.
BEWARE!!! My pool was built by Signature Pools in 2014. Ed came to my house to discuss pools and give me a quote. After talking to Ed for a while, I decided to go with his company. They weren't the most expensive, and they weren't the most inexpensive either. The great thing was, I could purchase a 5 year warranty and, as Ed told me (and I asked him several times so I could be sure), EVERYTHING was covered under this warranty. It turns out, per Jessica, EVERYTHING doesn't mean everything and I'll get to that in a minute.
When construction started, I was excited! That excitement didn't last long because, throughout the construction process, there were days when no one would show up to work on my pool. Between not coming to my house to work on my pool because another customer had an issue (but what about MY issue?), to one guy (just one) having to go to court - so no one else showed up to continue working on my pool. This happened quite frequently during construction. I can deal with the absence of workers if there is a valid reason and if you at least call me to let me know that no one would be working on my pool today, but I didn't get a phone call or text from anyone. When I called Ed to ask why no one was working on my pool, he didn't even know (until I told him) that one of his workers had to go to court. How could he not know where his workers are? He responded by telling me that his workers didn't have college degrees and that it couldn't be helped when they didn't show up. So, I dealt with it.
Once the pool was completely finished, it was fantastic. I still love my pool.
Here's where 'everything' comes into play. When I had a leak, they sent over a 'diver' to find the hole, which he found two holes (one on each corner of the steps) and patched them up. I was not charged.
When my filter gauge filled with water, Jessica told me it wasn't covered under warranty. After talking to her several times, she sent someone out to replace it. I was not charged.
When my Polaris pool cleaner stopped working, she sent me to an authorized dealer and they had to replace the motherboard in the unit. I was not charged.
Today (30 Mar 2019) I texted Jessica and let her know I was having another problem with my Polaris. She texted back that it is not covered under warranty. I will update this once I hear back from Jessica regarding my Polaris.
UPDATE: please read the text messages between Jessica and myself. I can't believe the lack of customer service. Not to mention the fact that I've NEVER been anything other than pleasant with her workers. It's them, the owners, who throw their employees under the bus - calling them uneducated and not knowing that they just don't show up for work. I always offered the workers cool drinks as it was really hot outside. It is what it is and I'll be glad to stop dealing with them once my 5 year warranty - that I paid for!! - is up this fall. read more
