We opened up the panel and an ozone valve was cracked. I called and spoke to Chad. He suggested we bypass it and told me how. I worried it would be over my head but he said I could always call him out if I couldn't do it. I went to Home Depot and bought 2 barbed connectors and some hose and my son was able to make the repair. CHAD saved me a service call at the least and my son fixed it easily. I'm sure East Coast would rather him come out but his phone help has secured their business for me. If I need repairs he will be who I call and if he needs to come out I won't mind because he has saved me from previous repairs. Very happy with Chad and East Coast Leisure! I should mention East Coast also has a terrific pool water department and the young people there have helped me hundreds of times. Their prices are competitive and they usually have great prices on salt.

I encourage anyone considering a pool project to ask detailed questions about installation methods, drainage, long-term support, and what protections are practically available if problems develop. This review is based only on the pool for which I have been to over a dozen times. This is a six…read morelane competition pool with two bump outs. One of the area's is bumped out for a slide, the other for a diving board during Summer months. You must pay a membership in order to use this facility. Currently the pool has a bubble over it and is heated for Winter swim meets. ODAC runs it's USA 8&U circuit meets out of this facility once a month until February. The bubble will be taken off in Spring and will return to an outdoor pool. Then the reverse occurs in the Fall with the bubble being put back up. Practices for year around USA swimming club Old Dominion Aquatic Club, or ODAC are conducted at this pool in the morning and evening. There is a very large concrete deck which is very nice and one of the bigger assets the pool has. The facility has always been kept in good shape every time I have seen it. However, there is nothing really special here. Parking is an extreme challenge during events. This is a nice functioning pool that serves the area well and for that it is A-OK.

The parking are is small. If you park on the main road, make sure all four wheels of your car are in the grass. We were warned that you will get ticketed if they're not. The air inside the bubble felt warm to me, but I was dry. The restrooms and shower areas were clean and well stocked with paper towels, tp, etc. They have metal bleachers set up for spectators, but I'd bring a cushion for the long meets. There are also some tables and chairs scattered around, but you can't see the action from that area. There was a concession stand, as well. Bring cash!

There are additional amenities, such as basketball courts, kiddie pool.& much more. The Pool is open seasonally and is closed on Tuesdays. Built in 1970 the non profit is run by a Pool Board and Volunteers. Neighborhood & Member events are varied and plentiful. Memberships are available at the Individual, Couple and Family Rates with Guest Passes available for purchase by members. There is a Senior Discount. The location is in the Pembroke Meadows neighborhood off Independence Boulevard. Before the Bayside Recreation Center was built it was the swimming choice for many residents of Bayside with children and teens. Parents spent hours t by the pool even though it was well staffed with lifeguards. It was a great place for kids to swim and socialize with their friends. It was fun for parents to meet and socialize on the pool deck, Pembroke Meadows Marlins is the swim team for the Center. It's a great way for kids to learn swim competition and develop their skills in the different strokes. Swim meets were held early in the morning on weekends. The pool is closed during this time. My son developed excellent swim skills during the time period when he was young and we were members. The early morning swim meet times were tough though for this night owl. :) It's hard for many Bayside residents to envision a time before the Bayside Rec Center was built. Pembroke Meadows filled the swimming void during that time. Last year I was watching my son and grandson swimming from the bleachers at the pool. I met a man who was waiting for his Grandson to finish swim team practice. I told him my son had been on the swim team at Pembroke Meadows. He said that his was also. Time had passed. Generations had changed. The kids that swam at Pembroke Meadows then now have children of their own. Thank you Pembroke Meadows Pool & Swim Team for the years of fun. There was one instance where 2 kids were bullying him and the other was hitting him with a chain and my son decided to defend himself and they were going to write him up for. First off where were the counselors when all of this was going down?! There was also another time where the kids kept bullying my son because he has a Mario hat on and they kept taking it off his head and throwing it on the ground...again where's the counselors? My son would tell them and no counselors would do anything about it..The kids also sit in a gym bored after they're done with their 10 minute outdoor activities, I'm happy they took us in but upset that it ended up being an unhappy experience for my kid. And please don't bother writing back to this review telling me you're sorry and want an email! We won't be back.

This is a review of the Indian Lakes FOUNDATION pool, not the Association pool…read more Good pool. It has gone through some changes in the last couple of years. It was closed during the COVID time, then they renovated in the off-season, which stretched into the following year. The deck was resealed, and the pool liner was repaired. Subsequently, they were 'unable' to hire a lifeguard company due to it being 'too late in the season', and the pool remained closed. We are fortunate to have access to the military recreation facilities, so we were able to enjoy swimming outdoors in the summer elsewhere. The HOA fees which pay for the pool, were not prorated. All that being said, the pool is clean, and the lifeguards have been good over the last two years. A good number of chaise lounges and chairs are available both in the sun and the covered area. The pool management company seems to hire a lot of foreign exchange students from Eastern Europe. The association is a little pricey for guest passes. The pool management hardly enforces the 'no food in the pool area' policy. I would give the pool management a 2 1/2 star review, but the pool itself 4 stars.
