One of them stated if you can deal with the ugly wrinkle, I'd leave it until you can replace it. I appreciated the honesty and the fact he didn't try to sell me his services.

In the engineer's written report, he concluded that the pool failure was not the result of excessive hydrostatic pressure, but the result of two installation errors. I was disappointed not only by what happened, but by how my concerns were handled. This was a major investment and the outcome was heartbreaking. I made multiple attempts to resolve this directly before posting this review, and I remain open to a constructive conversation. I encourage anyone considering a pool project to ask detailed questions about installation methods, drainage, long-term support, and what protections are practically available if problems develop. I expected the pool to last 25 to 30 years. It lasted about nine. This review reflects my personal experience.

However this year when my pool started leaking again, I contacted them (starting in June) asking when they could come back out. Over the next two months, they told me again and again that they would be out in the next few days, the next week, etc. Unfortunately they never showed and never once called to tell me they would not be able to come out. After 2 months I was forced to find another company to do the repair. While I was calling looking for an alternative, I related to various other companies that I wanted to use Coastal but could not get them to come out. Two of those companies, on their own, told me that Coastal was known for that. Again when Coastal did come out a few years ago, they successfully fixed my leak and for a reasonable fee. But after calling them this year five times and being promised support, but never getting itt, I won't be a repeat Coastal customer.

We also had issues with a leak, which wasn't something we had hired them to repair, but Will told my husband that he would bring drain tubes to put behind the liner to prevent wrinkles in the liner. Again, he never showed up like he said he was. We then had 2 large wrinkles in the pool. Will told my husband once the leak was fixed, he would send someone out to take care of the wrinkles. Again, he proved to NOT be a man of his word. I didn't want to make the final payment until the job was complete. I figured that it was hard enough to get them out BEFORE we paid them, there was no way they would come back after they were already paid in full. When I told the company that I would pay them when they came out to finish, I heard from the manager within minutes. When it comes time to collect payment, they were quick to get back to me and threaten to sue. After I paid them, we had problems with the liner they installed. When we reached out, we were told they would not come back out to fix the issues. I will never use this company again and would not recommend them to anyone. They are extremely dishonest.

I use it every night and love it. I have had a couple issues; however, they immediately corrected them. Recently, I noticed the metal frame that lifts the cover and holds it in place, was filling up with rainwater and dripping rust on my deck. I called Diana Barrett and she ask for photos for the factory. I figured I was out of luck. In less than Two weeks Scott and Beby showed up with a new lifting rack. They drained the tub, and replaced the assembly. They also lined the joints with tape to prevent further rain leakage. Everyone I have worked with has been exceptional. Leia and Michael in Sales and Diana, Tyler, Chrystal Scott and Beby are all GREAT!

Wonderful service! I usually leave my pool open year round but this year called for a change in plans due to a new addition, our 10 month old black Lab Bailey. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get it closed prior to having knee replacement surgery in October. I called and asked the possibility of getting it closed quickly. To my happy surprise Glynis was able to have it done that same week. They quickly and efficiently cleaned it, corrected the chemicals, cleaned the DE Filter and put the cover on. Now Bailey can relax in the middle of the pool on the cover and not be soaking wet. Thank you all so much. read more

Whenever I ran my Polaris pump I noticed that a puddle would form on the ground where I knew the supply lines to my aux pump. I visited the folks at GN Pools and within 24 hours I had a team at my house digging around to localize the leak. Within 2 hours, the leaks was found, repaired and the next day when I turned on the Polaris..no leak!! The repairs were professional, timely and cost effective. I drive all the way from Chesapeake to Great Neck Pools to purchase anything or get any assistance or service on my pool. I have a Aqua Leisure and a Leslie's Pools within a mile, but they can not even come close on Great Neck Pools prices or service. They are veteran owned and only sell American made products. read more

A 1 star review is too generous. We hired Pool Force at the beginning of the year to design and…read morebuild an inground vinyl pool with concrete decking and a pavilion. Our contract end date was July 24 and we still have yet to make our last payment to the company. To start - communication from the owner is non-existent. Not once did we have a project manager meet with me or visit our property. For 2-3 weeks after excavation started, I could not get a hold of anyone at the company via phone or email. They dumped tons of gravel in our street without notice and we were cited by the city during this time as well. Second - We have a generous side yard with ample space for equipment, materials, etc to be left. We assumed and prepared to have our yard tore up BUT we did not plan for them also destroying our neighbors yard, dumping gravel in her flower beds, accidentally spraying concrete on her house, and damaging her gate and fence beyond repair. Third - During the liner installation, it was ripped in 2 places. At this point, we were already past our scheduled completion date and I asked them to just patch the holes and give us a discount equal to a new liner instead of starting over. Once we filled the pool up, a few days went by and the steps began the settle. Walking through the shallow end felt like walking on sand in some spots and sure enough, there were divots and craters that started showing up. I alerted the company and they drained the pool, pulled the liner back to fix the floor, and refilled it (hello extra water bill). The pool is now worse than it was before it was drained. The pictures attached (on Google review) are its end state...does this look like a $65k pool to you? Finally after a nearly 3 month delay for no apparent reason and cold weather, the pool is finally complete. I received the final invoice and was less than thrilled at the discount given for the damaged pool floor and liner and there was no remedy offered for the damage to the neighbor's property. *side note* - At some point during the installation, the company owner asked if we wanted Wi-Fi/remote functionality on our pump equipment. I said sure, if there's no additional charge, and thought nothing else of it. I asked for them to make it right by giving us an appropriate discount, and instead the owner brought up how he "upgraded" our system and added additional lights to the pool (which I never asked for or knew were being installed until after the fact). The free "upgrade" does not cancel out the damage to the liner and pool floor. Know what he said? They're going to take out the "upgraded" system and replace it with the basic one in our contract.....and STILL not give the discount that was requested. Overall, my backyard is beautiful and I'm grateful to have a peaceful space to come home to...BUT the process to get here has been horrendous and to have a less than perfect result after a total project cost of over 6 figures is extremely disappointing. Stay away from Pool Force. They do not have the experience or business acumen needed to run a company with contracts this size. It's unfortunate their bad reviews started popping up after we signed our contract but I hope that with enough research, people will discover they are not the right company to do business with.

I had been quoted $500 for the job, yet I received an invoice for $515 with no initial discount or adjustment whatsoever for the damage to my liner. When I called to discuss it, he genuinely seemed shocked that I would expect any sort of discount and felt I should still pay the full amount. I made it very clear that I was NOT expecting the job to be free. I simply felt that when a company damages a customer's property while performing a service, some reasonable compensation or adjustment should be made. After our conversation, he eventually offered 10% off the $515 invoice. Considering that I now have a hole and patch in a pool liner that did not have one before he arrived, I found that response incredibly disappointing. Accidents happen. I understand that. My issue is not simply that the scissors were dropped- it's how the company handled it afterward. Taking responsibility for damage to a customer's property and making a genuine effort to make it right is part of good customer service. Between being invoiced for more than the $500 I was quoted, initially being expected to pay the full amount despite the damage, and then having my concern treated as unreasonable, the entire situation felt very unprofessional. He gave me instructions to replace a portion of the filter line, and stayed available to me via text until I got that fixed successfully. Growing up in a family that owned a small business, I can easily recognize good service, and that is exactly what I got from Ahoy.
