Cup of coffee - look at this mug!!

First of all, I am disappointed in myself that I did not know that this place was open. On the other hand, I am thankful I did not know about it until recently because I would be here all of the time and it would become a problem. Their breakfast was SO good. Home fries need to be spectacular to impress me, and these were truly out of this world. I could eat them every day! I have no complaints about anything on my plate. The scrambled eggs were perfectly prepared (I asked for them well-done) and of course the home fries were the star of the show. My latte was also very good, and these mug it was served in was so cute. I tried a bite of my friend's chocolate chip waffle, which was recommended to us by a coworker who said it was the best on the island. I can't say I have tried any other waffles on the island, but this one was quite delicious and it would be difficult to top it. Even though it was busy late on Saturday morning, my party of two was seated right away. Sure, you're sitting close to the people next to you, but I do not mind. The place is well-decorated and has a pleasantly clean vibe about it. I am looking forward to trying dinner here as well in the near future!

Everything was so delicious and the service was excellent! We were seated outside and it's beautifully decorated. We started with drinks and I got the peach Bellini which was very good. I ordered the crispy wrap which was so well made, and the perfect portion as well. Others in my group enjoyed their food and drinks as well. Our waiter was so friendly and always checking in on us. Overall it was a great meal and I would definitely come back!

Fourth visit in a week, outstanding service, excellent food, and a perfect environment for a relaxed eating experience. Tonight, Kristin was most accommodating with recommendations and suggestions for our drinks and food. The Blackberry Bramble made a tasty cocktail. The Pork Dumplings appetizers were not too spicy, and did not disappoint. The Seared Scallops were cooked to perfection with a side of roasted Brussels sprouts. Finishing off the evening came the cheesecake and chocolate lava cake with an espresso. Breakfast is going to be a separate review, but just as epic. Highly recommend.

Turkey Hash w/ Avocado, Bacon and Chalula hot sauce

Island kitchen is one of the best breakfast/Brunch spots on the island. My go to's are the Turkey Hash or the Clucker chicken sandwich! It's always busy so service is a little slow but everything is made to order from the smoothies to every dish. When in nantucket and hungry for an early Diner style breakfast this is the place to go. Also they have a pretty solid dinner menu as well.

Recently visited this restaurant on my first time to Nantucket and it was a wonderful to begin our trip and end it as well! You can only make reservations for dinner. The food is delicious and service is great. Some standout dishes for me was the Brussel sprouts, fried calamari (probably the best calamari we had that week, it was so tender) and the lobster pasta primavera. It was simple but so much flavor and I love the sautéed fresh veggies with the lobster. I finished every bite!! When we went for breakfast I enjoyed the panko crusted eggs Benedict which is certainly unique and I also liked the matcha I got with diced strawberries and almond milk. It was refreshing and lightly sweet. Someone in our party got some juice and it was ginger forward so they had it sent back and they remade it and it was much better. Just goes to show how good the service is and they appreciated our feedback as the juices were a newer thing. If you're looking for a place with good food at a price that won't break the bank this is it! Also very kid and large group friendly.

The Ackerol spritz was really good but the bloody Mary's weren't anything special. Food was good except for some slightly runny scrambled eggs and the sausage wasn't that good. But the waffle, huevos rancheros, bacon, omelettes, toast all very good! They give you a lot of food which is nice for the pricing. The service was pretty good as well our server was very nice and the food came out pretty fast

Brioche French Toast, side of bacon, Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice

Food and atmosphere was amazing! Surprisingly got seated very quickly despite the line on a Sunday morning. Orange juice is worth the price! Home fries were excellent. I wish the French toast was cooked a little longer! (I'm picky about my French toast lol)

Well, at some point I was going to have to post a negative review, right? This was a sad stop. A…read morevery rainy morning, I'll guess other staff had trouble getting in. Still, in a mostly empty restaurant, it took way too long to just get a seat (and i couldn't get a table away from the door, even though I asked), and that was followed by a long wait to even get water, let alone coffee or my order taken. I asked for the Eggs Benedict, but was told they were out. Ok, just the simple bacon and eggs will be fine. Anyway, yes, it was awhile before the food came out. I requested eggs over medium that were beyond overcooked. The muffin? Served without butter or anything to put on it (I guess that's on me for not checking it when brought out). The bacon? The one good thing that morning. It took forever to get someone's attention for more coffee. I was really patient with the young waitress who was there seemingly by herself for the first 15-20 minutes I was there, but attentiveness didn't pick up even when three other staff joined. Then there was a long wait for the check. Finally, when I went to pay, they left with my card and came back to the table without it...a simple error that could happen any time, but just another reason to have had a negative impression of this place.

On the flip side, we did not enjoy the SWR popcorn. It was rather wet and made for a weird gastronomic experience. But the crostini was just so so good that I am overlooking the popcorn. For my main, I had the salmon which was very delicious. Whatever magical sauces they serve it on were so good, and the salmon so tender, and the cranberries a great addition to the flavor profile- I was wowed! My boyfriend had the eggplant pasta and he really loved that. My visit this time was definitely a lot more quiet than when I went in the summer. Less people, music not as loud but audible. Overall, quite nice for a date night! I can't wait to come back... hopefully before the season ends!

The Buffalo fried fish app the waitress recommended wasn't my favorite and doesn't seem to be a dish that should be on the menu. It def felt like TGIFridays met Nantucket but not in a good way. Literally a deep fried block of fish smothered in buffalo sauce served on like a whipped blue cheese spread. Honestly, I think it was trying to elevate Buffalo when Buffalo can't be elevated. The fish entree I had was fine. Nothing out of this world. Actually quite unmemorable. Overall, $90 for 2 dishes that were fine, the app being even on a don't order suggestion, is a little jarring. Service and ambiance was great. I love the comp bread and little dip amuse bouche. Overall, fine. I think I ordered wrong, but I do think there are some better value and more exciting food happening at other places.

Chef Emmanuel "Manny" Rojas might be one of the best chefs on Nantucket. This former New Yorker and…read moreMomofuku Ssam Bar alum draws from culinary traditions of every sort, from Mexican and Caribbean, to Korean and Thai. Perhaps in reflection of his New York City roots, all these varied culinary cultures are thrown into the same kitchen, tossed together with abandon, and sprinkled with some Chef Rojas magic, resulting in some of the most interesting, intelligent flavors you can find on Nantucket. The current menu includes dishes like Taiwanese fried prawns, duck wontons and street corn strips with miso aioli, cotija and furikake, which play alongside ingredients like kimchi, water chestnuts, and curtido! Perhaps not surprisingly, given Chef Rojas's Momofuku pedigree, the dinner menu features Korean Barbecue Pork, a large-format family meal that closely resembles Chef David Chang's famous bo ssäm, a slow-roasted, sugar-and-salt-cured whole pork shoulder. KOREAN PORK BBQ ($170; sushi rice - cucumber kimchi - korean bbq sauce - ginger scallion sauce - bibb lettuce wraps) allegedly feeds four to six people. Given the small dent that the four of us made in the dish, even with a few growth-spurting ravenous eaters, the dish could probably feed eight hungry adults. Be prepared for leftovers and meal plan accordingly! At a more recent Sunday brunch, we had the wonderfully culturally ambiguous TUNA TOSTADA ($27; pickled jicama - aji amarillo - charred cipollini & sesame puree - shallot). It was a bit Mexican, a bit Peruvian, a bit East Asian -- and a lot delicious. I'm one of those people who don't get all the hoopla over AVOCADO TOAST, but the Progeny seem to be on the bandwagon. The version served at or, The Whale ($22; cherry tomato - fried egg - everything bagel spice on toasted sourdough) might just win me over. Excellent, ripe sliced avocados came topped with a sunny-side-up egg, lots of tender microgreens, and slightly pan-seared sweet cherry tomatoes. The EGGS BENEDICT ($26; choice of country ham or smoked salmon - poached eggs - house biscuit - hollandaise) were classic and well made with perfectly runny yolk and super rich, buttery hollandaise sauce. But the most delicious thing on the plate was the side of hash browns, a generous slab that was beautifully browned to a crisp on the outside. Cocktails are delicious, though a touch wimpy by our lush standards. Predictably, I'm fond of the entertainingly named UNCLE BAD NEWS ($17; jalapeño-infused tequila, passionfruit, lime) since I'm a sucker for any cocktail with jalapeño as an ingredient.
