Walk-ins only. I arrived on a Sunday around noon with 13 parties ahead of me and was quoted a 45 minute wait but was pleasantly surprised to be seated within 25 minutes. The blackened swordfish sandwich was the standout and one of the best meals I had on Nantucket. I'm usually not a fan of coleslaw but theirs had a bit of an Asian inspired twist that was absolutely delicious. The house-made chips which my server highly recommended paired perfectly with the sandwich. Very friendly service, great food and well worth the wait. Highly recommend stopping here if you're in Nantucket.

Clockwise from the top - salmon, tuna special, and steak. All the accompaniments were fresh and delicious

straight wharf bar grill is my favorite dining spot on Nantucket. Come for apps and dessert or dinner and dessert and its near impossible that you'll leave disappointed. Note the common theme...the desserts are spectacular; the 2024 strawberry shortcake posset is (still) one of the most memorable things I ate last year. It is essential that you head over early, they open at 5:30, because once the seats fill up you're going to be waiting a long time. Additionally, if you sit on the patio the people watching is 10/10 thanks to the Gazebo and folks coming and going to the ferry.

We heard a lot of hype about this place. They don't take reservations and there is a line down the street. We showed up when they opened and was seated quickly. The service is attentive and the food comes timely. The swordfish was cooked beautifully. We did feel in need more seasoning but the charred grill flavor is pronounced. The whipped feta was delicious the pillow bread and ztar spices were foward and matched the salty, creamy dip. The bluefish was good. I thought it could use more smoke and salt because the parmesan crackers overpowered it. Just eat it with the table bread which is nice and fluffy.

Candlelight dinner so it's pretty dark. Beautiful restaurant, food and service were good. Not our favorite menu but worth the experience.

We had a reservation for 8:30, but were not seated until closer to 9:10, which was a little disappointing. Thankfully, the service and food made up for the wait. Our server was knowledgeable and kind. The food was amazing, and my entire family has been talking about how great it was since we left! While it was a little loud, it was still beautiful and intimate. They were able to accommodate some of our picky eaters with ease. We will definitely be back!

Lobster roll with onion rings and rosé

Day trip from Provincetown, MA -- jumped the Hy-Line ferry from Hyannis to Nantucket and steps off the boat stumbled into this GEM. Bounty of seafood and fresh fish and sandwiches--- we had the lobster roll and fried fish sandwich. With onion rings and fries -- light, crisp -- fresh -- complements with the Peyrassol rosé. Staff and service were friendly and wonderful! Will be back and highly recommend!

We had a beautiful meal here. Presentation, flavor, service and ambiance were all excellent, and we appreciated the flexibility of their fixe prix menu where you could choose appetizer or meal portions for both starters and entrees (sometimes with supplemental pricing). We were also pleased with the gorgeous view from the back patio. We hadn't even requested outdoor seating and were delighted to see a rainbow appear during dessert. Although I have no negative comments at all, this is a case of expectation vs. reality. I expected to be over-the-moon with this special dinner, but will reluctantly admit that nothing especially stood out as very memorable. We enjoyed the food very much while we were there, but it just didn't make the lasting impression I need for 5 stars.

Service was good. The chowder and food overall was below average for cape cod and very pricey.

I…read morerecommended this restaurant to my friends based on the reviews and it did not disappoint - the food, service and atmosphere were fantastic. To start, a couple of us ordered oysters as an appetizer and they were delicious, fresh and tasty. For our main courses, we ordered filet mignon, chicken, lobster tagliatelle and tuna from the diverse menu. Each one of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Everything was cooked exactly as ordered and seasoned perfectly. We also ordered a few sides, such as the roasted carrots with cashew butter, brussel sprouts with pork landons and my favorite - the scallion goat cheese mash, which were mashed potatoes packed with yumminess! Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent service, while the ambience was quite comfortable and inviting. I remembered reading reviews about the carrot cake and although we were all full, we knew we had to try it so we got one slice for the five of us and it may have been the best carrot cake I've ever eaten. If you like carrot cake this is a must and well worth it. If you're in Edgartown, I would definitely include 19 Raw in your restaurant list.

We started with the lobster and caviar Hawaiian roll, which was flavorful and delicious. The grilled octopus served over pork and white beans was another standout--the flavor profile here was top tier. Honestly, the appetizers had me expecting the rest of the meal to be on the same level. Unfortunately, the entrées were a different story. The rack of lamb was cooked perfectly temperature-wise, but the lack of seasoning was unbelievable. The execution was there, but it desperately needed flavor. We also ordered the halibut, which was extremely dry--to the point that I couldn't finish it. The sides brought things back around. The jalapeño corn and Brussels sprouts were both and packed with flavor. And then there was the Filthy Dirty Rich Martini with caviar-stuffed olives --AMAZING. Easily one of the highlights of the night and something I would absolutely order again. Overall, 19 Raw nails the ambiance, cocktails, appetizers, and service. The appetizers in particular showed just how good the kitchen can be, which made the disappointing entrées even more surprising. I'd come back, but next time I might stick to cocktails, appetizers, and small plates.

I'm only saying this so that we can provide feedback for the experience. The garden out front is stunning but the service was slow and the server wasn't super attentive or cared to answer questions. I got the steak that was more rare than I wanted and had to send it back to the kitchen since we had asked for it medium. It was drenched in sauce that was way overly salty. The spinach and artichoke (cream(?) spinach was a terrible texture and hard to eat. The thinly sliced potatoes were salty as well and overall to spend over $70 for that meal alone was not worth the price. The steak frites were just fine, and the gazpacho was not a crowd favorite. Like I said, there was nothing from our meal that screamed amazing. But if you are to go... the beet risotto would be the must order. Oh also the bread was stale and the server just dropped the bread on our plates almost like he was throwing it at us. It just felt like the design of the restaurant overpowered the service and friendliness and was not worth the cost for the beauty of the garden-- the host was nice though.

I also remember that, even though the waitress said it was her favorite as soon as I took a bite I could tell it was a dish I did not care for. I ate a few bites and left the rest. It was some kind of steak with a special preparation. I've looked at the restaurant menu but do not see it listed. It was a special for that evening. The restaurant had a nice Cape Cod feel to it, and it was crowded. There was a large party sitting near by and the acoustics being what they are, it was a little noisy but they left after a bit. The lighting was dim, but it was a pleasant evening and the service was great. They had a nice selection of wines. My friend had the Eggplant Vindaloo, which I had considered ordering and it was a huge serving. She took it back and ate it for several days. Another friend ordered and ate appetizers and loved the Maine Mussels Dijonnaise. I guess it was just my luck of the draw. I should have gone with my first idea and ordered the Eggplant.
