Make reservations ahead of time. I'm told that it is hard to get into this restaurant. The garden is beautiful when you walk in. You have the option of dining in the garden area. It is a U shape and is undercover. We weren't sure if it would be covered so we chose the formal dining area that over looks the backyard/ garden. We had Paula as our waitress and her assistant Darwin. They both were efficient and nice. Everything was fresh. Everyone liked the most the bluefish pâté with their homemade chips. The tuna tartar was delicious as well. The halibut was great with zucchini. The oysters were good as well. No one was dissatisfied. The wine list is quite pricey. Locals had suggestions for other places to eat because they said it is to expensive. However, really the food is not to expensive. It's the beverages at $19 a glass and the wine that is $200 and up. If you keep that in mind, anyone can go there and enjoy the experience. The table ordered various desatara and those too were delicious. I think next time we will go for lunch and eat in the garden for the experience and beauty. Enjoy! PS. You will need a car or Uber. This is on the coast and not close to the Main Street area of downtown.

Have you ever seen the movie "Somewhere In Time" with Christopher Reeve? It's about time travel in a elegant resort. Even if you don't know the movie you will be transported to another place and time when you dine at The Chanticleer. Elegant gardens, a traditional me me menu welcome you in. Prompt and prompt service. The smoked salmon omelette was very good. My husband said he had never had a burger that was as fresh and hot. I'd recommend lunch so you have plenty of daylight to enjoy the gardens.

Beautiful, delicious food. Perfect for a special occasion. Kind and caring staff, and a gorgeous setting. We sat outside and got to admire the flower gardens, but the inside is just as charming.

Ordered the Catch of the Day which was salmon and a virgin mojito. The salmon was out of this world in a lemony sauce on a bed of creamy mashed potatoes accompanied by vegetables. Service was quick. The ambiance is beautiful, make sure not to leave without snapping a picture in front of their garden.

Entry way into the restaurant. Outdoor seating in the garden.

Ambiance was amazing. The food was good even though the menu was in comic sans. We shared the oysters, little gem salad and roasted beets amongst the five of us for appetizers. I had the halibut for dinner that was served on a potato purée. This is one of those places for a special night where you can enjoy the upscale ambiance and good food. It's worth it just to see the garden. I was too excited about the garden to get any pictures of the food...sorry.

My husband and I ate here for lunch on the last day of our honeymoon just over a week ago. It was the first day they were opening for lunch, the start of the season, so there weren't many people there. It was very quiet, which I enjoyed. We were immediately greeted by a hostess with a smile and brought to our table looking out into the garden with the cute horse statue from a merry-go-round. Our waiter was very nice, explaining they were training other waiters as this was their first lunch open. All of our several waiters were nice and attentive! I got the lobster toast, which was very good. I also had a sangria which was certainly on the higher end of $$ for one lunch drink, but it was delicious! We had a very pleasant experience and will be coming back to the Chanticleer on our next trip. The only negative was that it was rather chilly in the room. Since it was raining and chilly outside in general, I hoped it would've been a little warmer inside, but it didn't dampen our experience.

No reservations and early season, we had no problem snagging a table for 2. However, a friend recently shared they were told a 45 minute wait the other day. Prices and portions are reasonable to that of the Brotherhood and the Trap, and well executed. The fish tacos were delicious and my son's burger was basic but delicious. Heads up, while no kids menu, they did say they had a secret one - I'm imagining coming from so many families popping in. The burger as was $18 and a double patty with no toppings and homemade chips. The chowder was also really good with I believe some pork in there. It's been a minute, so I'm a little rusty. Service was great and kind. I didn't order any cocktails, but they did look small for the price - they may be bottled? I could be lying there. I saw a many a fried seafood and fries platter go by and they looked so good and fresh and crispy, in the best way possible. Overall, five star addition! I'm sure the lines have begun, but it's worthy of a wait, especially over at the Gazebo, so perfectly convenient. Ps: they also have a retail portion but I did not pay much attention to that side.

And lastly, 3) the food. While meals historically have been a mixed bag, the food overall is a sure bet. Additionally, I love that the Oran Mor is more of an older crowd. I'm in my hanging with a 65 year old+ chic granny more than a 20 something year old influencer era. Ok, some more details. My batched cocktail off the menu was great - the cherry rickey. I love all things cherry and this hit home with a perfect mix of cherry and boozy flavors. We went with the snail app, the special crab pasta and the potato crusted fish. The crab pasta was solid, with the pasta being cooked perfectly. A tad bland, but that could just be the dish was more focused on that crab vs heavy seasoning. The fish was delicious, but disappointment came in with the sides. Sides are usually my favorite part of any dish, and the eggplant was burnt and ultimately kind of inedible and the veggie medley or whatever it was, was indeed a bit sad and underwhelming. My husband and I both were like womp womp. Even the additionally ordered creamed spinach was more of a creamy spinach soup vs spinach which we also would not order again. No dessert because Juice Bar be like around the corner. :) Service was great. We have been seated in the dining room and by the bar, and I appreciate both vibes. Overall, solid. Nantucket dining can be hit or miss with rezzies hard to find, so if Oran Mor is a possibility, I don't think you'll be disappointed (maybe just with the sides!).

The meal was almost perfect--nearly all of the courses were introduced expertly and executed with haute precision. The prix fixe menu is offered on weekends, and it looked, as you can see, exciting. The sous vide veal breast was a miss. The ratio of meat to fat skewed too heavily toward fat. The diners I observed around me at the bar all left fat on their plates. That said, the sauce and spinach accompaniments were delicious. The bread, optional caviar, and dessert courses were brilliant. The wine pairings fell a bit flat, I thought--they were all good, but none compelled me to ask for more or to see the labels for later purchase.
