Our no longer so secret party spot. Even in the off season, it's ridiculously congested. If you score parking on premises, it's like winning an organ transplant. A few years ago, someone offered to buy my parking space for $500. (I declined.) There's often live music. (Check local publications or their website for up-to-date schedules.) There are often a number of food trucks present. On our recent visit, we had oysters from Hang Ten (enormous, meaty and sweet, but shucked with a ton of shell shards); tacos, guac and nachos from Millie's; and pizza from Eat Fire Pizza. And of course we had a number of decent beers on tap from Cisco Brewers. They seem to tend towards lightness, minimal hoppiness: good summer brews for warm weather. It's family friendly -- including canine members. Our pup is a seasoned New Yorker and accustomed to crowds, but even she seemed a little frazzled by the press of people at times. read more

My husband and I went to Nantucket for a long weekend and stayed with a friend of ours. He had told us how much fun Cisco Brewery was, and that they have great bands...so we Ubered up there on a Saturday. We got there fairly early but the first band had already started, and the area under the tent was already full. We got some drinks, checked out the space and eventually we were able to snag some chairs under the tent. The outside beer area had alcohol drinks as well. 2 of us had tequila drinks, and 2 tried the beers. We were all really happy with our choices. All of the food there came from food trucks, and there were a lot of random vendors, which made it a fun, unique experience! All of our food and drinks were great. I also bought a few hats- the hat selection was really good from the band and the brewery. They also had a shop along with the other vendors who were set up. We stayed longer than expected- the first band (Grateful Dead cover band) was amazing, so we stayed to check out the second band (who were really good also). We eventually gave up our seats under the tent to some very happy people! We will definitely go back to the Cisco brewery the next time we're in Nantucket- it was a great experience all around! Everyone we encountered- whether they worked there, or weee there for fun were very nice and friendly. We did a day trip from Chatham to Nantucket during our honeymoon and had a great time. The beer, cocktails and ambiance was fantastic. Had we not just eaten lunch in town we would have tried one of the food trucks. I had the blueberry cocktail which was very refreshing on a hot day. The grey lady beer was recommended by a friend and it was great. We are from CLT, NC so when we saw the hurricane relief beer on the menu it made us very happy to see other breweries supporting the ones that were destroyed in the storm. The best spot to day drink on the island. The set up is perfect with various bars to grab drinks so lines never get long. They always have live music going and the food trucks are top notch. Great venue! Gray lady. Shark Tracker, Gripah, Wandering Hazy, Forever New England were all very good. Not the hoppy IPAs you might be expecting but easy drinking and flavorful. The venue is just amazing with plenty of places to grab something to eat or drink, lots (but not enough) of seating and just a great, happy vibe. This brewery is wonderful! Always a joyous vibe here and very island feel. the food trucks and live music are as wonderful as the brews. We sampled the infused vodkas and enjoyed the blueberry and vanilla made with vanilla bean the most. Whale Tail Pale Ale was one of my favs so tried! These selection of seafood, beverages, and cute clothing items felt quite endless. I loved all the entertainment too. zit felt like an adult playground and it was refreshing that kids are allowed as well. 167 seafood was wonderful. Make it a special point to come here when visiting Nantucket. You find yourself sipping one of their many varieties of beer, taking in the live music and sampling items from one of the visiting food trucks (dumplings are great!) -- and thinking -- this is what beach life should be (oddly not on the beach though). With a few beers in you, you might even squint and imagine Jimmy Buffet on stage. If you're so inclined, you can even bring home a large growler of the local beer to make your friends jealous. Protip: there is a helpful shuttle there from town center. Yes, people of my ilk sway there and not dance. Wish there were more dancers but head there and you'll get it. I would avoid the "cocktail" tour unless you are diehard Cisco. Tequila is surprisingly decent but Cisco, Notch or whatever you want to call them should probably stay in their lane. They have a free shuttle that picks up at the corner of chestnut and federal on weekends. The driver is a very nice older guy. Check their website for hours. (The panel van is on chestnut itself next to the Nantucket information bureau, which also has bathrooms on the backside of it.) When you get there, they card you and wristband you. The taproom is two lefts after getting through the entrance. Lots of lagers and ipas, which makes sense since they're probably most busy in the summer. The left 8 are their classics, and the right 8 are seasonal/experimental. I flighted all 16 over the course of 4 flightboards. It's about $4/taster, which is NYC taproom prices. Beer was just okay, but if you're here with a ton of friends and there for some live music, who cares I suppose. Their classic beers are easy to find around the island, so coming here to get some isn't a must IMHO. They have 3-4 food trucks that have various food. I tried some veggie dumplings, but was unfortunately underwhelmed and decided to save my stomach for dinner. Shaker-style Pint glasses are $12 and stickers are $3 from the gift shop. Kinda steep, but its Nantucket and they know their typical audience wont blink. Overall, the ambiance is fine, BYOFriends, and know that the beer doesn't hold a candle to the NYC scene. read more

We stopped here while biking around Nantucket. This place is a must for a stop for lunch or drinks. They have music and good vibes. The food is food truck style and I will add it's overpriced compared to other food we ate on the island, but it's definitely worth it! I got a Nantucket bay scallop and my friend got a hummus bowl. Apparently a go-to on the island. Very cool concept with something for everyone - wine, beer and mixed drinks. It didn't take long to get a drink. I tried a mule, but not a fan of the cranberry in it. The band was nice. There were food trucks, but very limited seating to really enjoy our time. We had one drink and left. Holy smokes nothing could quite have prepared me for this place. Imagine if the Chad's and Stacey's all congregated in one place. I've never seen so many Louis Vuitton's and Rolexes in one place. Lots of seersucker, Ralph Lauren popped collared polos and boat shoes as far as the eye could see. People were nice enough and the frozen rose was delicious even though overpriced. It's average. Could have passed. Cover band consisted of young teen girls and everyone had a chocolate lab or golden retriever with them -- cute enough. Back in September i got the opportunity to visit Cisco Brewers after riding electric bicycles around Nantucket with my friend ! Perfect timing to arrive , we were parched and hungry ! The setting is rustic and there was music live playing . The vibe was cool and energetic ! Craft beer, wine and cocktails and food trucks. We tasted IPAs , Wheat and Lagers. Loved them all . We also found it hard to pass up a Frose after a long bike ride ! Lines moved quickly , service was friendly. Since we were in new england we munched on Raw oysters , clams and boiled shrimp , with a side of sweet potatoe fries! Excellent snack to accompany our drinks . From the shuttle by the dock to the center of the bar everyone was so friendly. My group and I all enjoyed our drinks, would definitely recommend the Pineapple Express for any vodka drinkers. As someone who is a fan of the Cisco in Seaport, would still recommend the Nantucket location to any visitors. Cisco is a popular local brewery and distillery on Nantucket. We came here on bikes and enjoyed an hour of chilling and drinking and eating. They brew some of their beers on the island, with the rest brewed elsewhere in New England. They had some great fruity beers (a peach beer and a grapefruit beer) which were refreshing and tasty. They also serve up cocktails and wine. The compound also includes many food trucks with options for eating. We got a delicious seafood taco, some seafood empanadas, and a gyro bowl (all from different trucks). It's expensive, but it was tasty. Cisco Brewers is always a mandatory spot we visit during our Nantucket summer vacations. They get super busy (even on weekdays) and you have to be quick to grab a table that opens up. I wanted to love this place and it was the first place we visited after dropping off our bags. We were starving so we ordered food and then found nowhere to sit. Ended up finding a table to stand at which was ok but after two hours we were done standing and left. We went with cocktails vs beer and they were good and strong. Bartender was engaging as nobody was in that "shed" when we got there. The band was not what I was expecting for Nantucket - they played mostly non familiar folk music. The food was good but like I said we were starving so probably would have liked just about everything . We waited in line then paid a twenty dollar cover charge to get in the brewery. They had several food trucks with a few dining options as well as beer. I got a lobster roll which was good but overpriced. My wife found a fish taco that was adequate but also small and overpriced. I suppose when you are on Nantucket everything is expensive. Such a fun place to go on the island. It can get busy so try and go earlier on in the day. This place is like if a brewery married a distillery and then had a kid that was a farmer market lol. I was going over my last trip to Nantucket in December 2020 and realized I've somehow bypassed writing a review for one of my most favorite places on the island. Cisco is all that and more. Beer, wine, spirits, food, live music, dogs, what more can you ask for really? In the summer 167 raw has a little food truck/cart and the blueberry lemonades go down quick. In the winter there are more warm food options (mac n cheese, etc) and the dark n stormy's are aplenty. 2020 was a weird year but we saw that Cisco took it in stride. It was actually fun (and more cozy) to be in our own little hut and we still got to enjoy what we love most about Cisco: drinks! long story short: We love it here- drinks, food & staff are all excellent. I've been coming here since I was legal and now my entire family (younger sisters are legal now too) enjoys a sunny Cisco afternoon post-beach. read more

Visited here this past Saturday for the day with some friends and had a great time majority of the day. We ended the day by going to the gift shop to shop around before catching the shuttle home. It was confusing finding the exit from the gift shop, as there were no signs, so a friend of mine went through a small break between 2 barriers to get out. An older man who was managing the line came over yelling in her face that the barriers were there for a reason and asking her if she was blind for not realizing what she was doing. He embarassed her in front of a very long line when she was simply trying to leave and explain that to him. After telling her to turn around and use the real exit but not pointing her to where that was, another younger employee who was working outside the gift shop helped her find her way out. The day would have been a 5/5 had this older employee not yelled and embarassed her for just trying to leave. I get that it was a busy day and hot out but there was no need to treat a customer that way. It was an unfortunate end to what would have been a great day otherwise. read more

I even overheard the two young men giving out wristbands at the entrance using a homophobic slur while joking with each other. What a shame. The beer was mediocre at best!
