I went into Epernay a few days ago with a specific request- I was going scalloping with a group and needed wine for a 16-person scallop dinner that wouldn't break the bank. Elizabeth and Andy steered me to a Sancerre that was one of the least expensive wines in the store. The foodie dinner guests were very impressed! I then went to a wine tasting (Thursdays 4-6) that was informative and fun. Epernay's a bit out of the way in downtown Nantucket but well worth the visit. read more

Passed this wine shop on a morning jog and had to go back. Wonderful couple own the place. Very passionate and knowledgable about wine. Very diverse but thoughtful selection of wines of the world. Even though the store is small and modern, I felt like I could have gotten lost staring at the wall of Champagnes. They have a huge rose wall of pink wines too--great producers. Epernay is fantastic. It's open late which is hard to find on Nantucket. The owners are also extremely helpful and after asking if they carried 1 specific bottle of wine (they didn't), they ordered it and had it in the shop ready for me to pick up 2 days later. It's hard to find service like that! Jenny is also extremely knowledgeable about the wine which sets them apart from other places I've purchased from on island. It's been our go to spot since we found it and we'll stay loyal customers because of how they treat us. read more

Quaint island store with nice wine selection, but unfair mark-up on liquor. Went in to buy vodka. Large bottle of Kettle One and Tito's Homemade priced at 49$ and 32$, respectively. Less than 2 minutes later, passed by Murray's on Main Street. Exact same bottles priced at $32 and $20, respectively. That's just gouging tourists. read more

Absolutely the worst service ever. I will never go back. I could not find any useful help. Every time I go in looking for Jenny she is never there. Basically this guy Kirk is always there, sort of an odd guy. When I ask if she will be around he doesn't know. Don't go to this store if you are looking for helpful advice. They try to up sell me every time. I use to receive a 10 percent case discount. For some reason this year they are not honoring it unless you mention it. My friend Samantha said she received his without having to ask. Unless you have plenty of money to waste don't go here. Things are overpriced even for Nantucket! read more
