Sausage, egg and cheese on a plain bagel.
    Leonardo D.

After many mixed reviews I decided to try it for myself. I thoroughly raved the fact there is a drive-thru service for such small business. The food quality and speed of service is unparalleled to anything I've seen around this area; especially when you factor in the price. As a first time customer I wished the drive-thru menu was a bit more organized. It felt unintuitive at first glance. I was really excited to try the coffee. I ordered a regular black with cream but it had a nutty flavor to it l, and felt like a flavored hazel nut. A mistake? I think so... Ok, it happens. No biggie. I drank it anyway, but I don't really enjoy flavored coffee. I do want to go back and try their coffee again. The food - I ordered a bagel with sausage egg and cheese and it was pretty good. The cheese was nice and gooey, sausage was well cooked and the egg was nicely done. The bagel itself is alright; however, I am a tough critic because I grew up with Jersey bagels. I am still raving about the quality of this breakfast sandwich, especially from a small business drive-thru. It was impressive! I will be coming back for more.

I never knew this place was here but their food and coffee is great. The best part is that it has a drive through! Better tasting and I think It's cheaper than McDonald's or about the same. I will be back.

So I know this is a dive...and I love a good dive, especially for breakfast. But. Service was gruff and awkward. When we got our food, they literally sat down and watched us eat it. SO uncomfortable. The coffee was ok, and the breakfast sandwich was good, but I won't go back. I just felt so damn uncomfortable!

    Donuts

I ordered some donuts from them on the phone and it was really easy! Just called, told them what donuts, went through the drive through and done. I went by one Saturday and they were out of donuts by 11 so it's good to call ahead of time. Their donuts are SO much better than Dunkin. Dunkin is overpriced and these were cheaper than Dunkin. They were nice traditional donuts, very very sweet and sugary though! The blueberry one is my favorite, although I think the sugary coating is a bit much. I'll definitely get some more donuts from here again. I got 3 chocolate, 3 blueberry, 2 Boston cream, and 4 assorted.

Really glad I stopped here (rather than the chain location a block away). The coffee was better! And the breakfast sandwich was amazing!

The space is a well decorated old home with all the quintessential New England charm one would expect. We sat outside to enjoy the good weather and enjoy the extensive patio. Our server was very friendly and professional. We opted for the blueberry salad, the mussels, the Gorgonzola bread and the watermelon gazpacho. Food was paced well, we jumped into the gazpacho first. It was like a watermelon salsa. The sweetness of the watermelon worked well with the funk of the onion and tomato. There was a light oil used to give the soup a better texture but it was used sparingly and wasn't greasy. It was a well balanced bite but not really a soup. The mussels were small but cooked well. The bread was crusted on one side and soft but crispy. The white wine broth was briny, rich and seasoned well. A good broth for dipping, which matched well with the bread pieces. The best bite was the Gorgonzola bread. Soft, tender crumb with a healthy amount of broiled cheese on top. Bread was pre-sliced but also was provided a knife just in case. Combined with the mussel broth, made a great bite even better. The salad was good but lacking. The salad was dressed well, blueberries were in season but missed the punch wild blueberries tend to have. The walnuts were candied locally and were lightly crisped rather than entombed in sugar like other places. The salmon add-on was seasoned well and grilled well. It was kind of plain in presentation, kind of pushed to the side of the plate with abandon. The dessert menu was extensive, along with their specials. I opted for the chocolate chip cookie warmed. It was a reasonable cookie for the price. Was a little overworked so it would've been hard if not warmed, but as a warm cookie it was good. The missus opted for the strawberry shortcake, and she enjoyed the single bite she managed to get before we got swarmed by the local bee population. The patio is very pretty, lots of flowers but also lots of bees. They had a tendency to swarm any sweet dish that came out, so it may be wise to either take dessert inside or to go if you can. Insect swarm aside, the food was great but pricy. The dishes coming out to about 70. The quality was good, the portions are large, but the price reflects that. Its really good though, so if you're in the area this place is a great spot for a nice meal in a very nice location

No matter, we were there before 11AM so we were served breakfast. The server we had was excellent she was a former employee of the Coffee Break which was the old restaurant in this location. The place is LOUD. The decor is new and refreshed. There is NO WHEEL CHAIR ACCESS (which surprised me as they just renovated the place. One would think the Town of Clinton would have required it.) I had the Breakfast Wrap with sausage and american cheese. It was good and filling. $7.00 (in May 2026) My companion had the Quinoa Omelette pictured 1/2 eaten ($14.75 in May 2026) which was good. The home fries had a little too much salt but were otherwise excellent. Personally when there is salt actually on the table, I always wonder why the cook just lightly dusts with salt as I can add more. We also ordered a fresh fruit cup which had grapes purple and green, strawberries, and a few hard pieces of honey dew melon. $6.50 (May 2026) In May 2026 the hours are 0700-1430 MON - SAT 0700-1200 SUN ****WARNING**** They stop servicing breakfast items at 11AM They do take credit cards BUT... They used to take it right at the table now, they don't which means you wait to pay. Bad move on the owner's part. There is plenty of free parking. I imagine there will be waits once the summer season gets going so plan to wait (maybe on the weekends)?

The Mahi Mahi tacos started with a strip of the meat rather than little chucks, so the fish could stand out as the foundation and not be lost in the excellent toppings. The place looked spacious and with a lot of light, it looked clean and they seemed to have a nice selection of wines (for those that like it) , they were displayed for people to see, which I thought looked very nice. I went to the restroom to wash my hands and I found it odd that there was only 1 restroom for the size of the restaurant. Our waiter was nice, he took our order and we were excited. The food took a VERY long time, we were starving, and we had kids with us so that wasn't good. Some of our orders were wrong and so unfortunately we had to wait even longer for the right meal. We didn't order alcohol but we did older a couple of mocktails. I was SUPER excited for them because that's something I always appreciate at a restaurant. I'm sad to say that they were AWFUL!! straight up syrup, not bubbly (some were supposed to have soda in them) not sweet, simply not enjoyable at all, I ended up switching it for a simple club soda, I figured it was a safe bet. When my food came out, it was ok, I had the avocado toast, and it was forgettable, my sister had the chicken and waffles and now THAT was the meal to get, it was large in portion and that chicken was beyond tasty!! My other sister has the lomito sandwich with the chips and it was good, something missing but she enjoyed it. The rest of the food were burgers and they were ok, the kids had burgers and Mac and cheese and they were not tasty according to the children's disinterest in barely touching their food (and they love cheeseburgers). I'm always willing to bypass certain things as long as customer service delivers BUT unfortunately they fell short. We were celebrating an engagement and so we were all very happy and in a great mood, when suddenly workers around us were cleaning up the neighboring tables, and even sweeping very close to us. We thought the place was possibly closing? (Even though it was only 2:15pm). I asked if they were closing and they said that they close the restaurant from 3-4 so their employees can go eat .... I'm not against giving them a break BUT, it really felt like they were kicking us out, we felt pressured to eat fast and wrap it up, not a good feeling, when you are in the zone of happiness. It was our first time there so, I would have appreciated if they would have informed us that the restaurant takes a little break in between and then we would have decided if we wanted to stay or go elsewhere. They did bring a little dessert and 2 mocktails for the newly engaged which was nice, I'll give them that. Overall, I don't think the food and experience was worth me coming back or recommending this place, I'm sure there's other much better places.
