Who doesn't serve breakfast all day? I thought breakfast was by far the most profitable meal of the day and hence restaurants would never NOT serve breakfast. No matter, we were there before 11AM so we were served breakfast. The server we had was excellent she was a former employee of the Coffee Break which was the old restaurant in this location. The place is LOUD. The decor is new and refreshed. There is NO WHEEL CHAIR ACCESS (which surprised me as they just renovated the place. One would think the Town of Clinton would have required it.) I had the Breakfast Wrap with sausage and american cheese. It was good and filling. $7.00 (in May 2026) My companion had the Quinoa Omelette pictured 1/2 eaten ($14.75 in May 2026) which was good. The home fries had a little too much salt but were otherwise excellent. Personally when there is salt actually on the table, I always wonder why the cook just lightly dusts with salt as I can add more. We also ordered a fresh fruit cup which had grapes purple and green, strawberries, and a few hard pieces of honey dew melon. $6.50 (May 2026) In May 2026 the hours are 0700-1430 MON - SAT 0700-1200 SUN ****WARNING**** They stop servicing breakfast items at 11AM They do take credit cards BUT... They used to take it right at the table now, they don't which means you wait to pay. Bad move on the owner's part. There is plenty of free parking. I imagine there will be waits once the summer season gets going so plan to wait (maybe on the weekends)? read more

Saw this on the internet and wanted to check it out. Very easy to get too with plenty of parking in front and back. Looking at the surrounding landscape it probably would have been nicer to dinner in the summer so we could sit outside and enjoy the view while eating our breakfast or lunch. It was fall so it was more seating inside with settling for the bite out the window. The atmosphere within the restaurant was relaxed and nice. At times it did get a little loud with a group talking but other than that we were able to enjoy our breakfast together. We had already looked at the menu online so we knew what we wanted, The Hangry Cure, which was two eggs, two bacon, two sausages, home fries and choice of French toast or pancakes. We opted for one of each so we could share and taste the others. Love that the portions seemed right on the spot. Some places they give you too much. French Toast was large and fluffy like they used Texas Toast. But it did seem a little undone. Probably could have been cooked a little longer. Pancakes were nice and round but hard to cut and a little chewy. Iv think these were cooked a little too much. Eggs and everything else was great though. We did have to wait a little bit to get our credit card taken. Actually took us getting the servers attention to come get it. The place has slowed down so not sure why we were forgotten, probably giving us more time to socialize at the table. I think next time we will stop in for lunch to check that out. read more

Finally checked out Hangry Goose, one of Clinton's newest spots, and it definitely lived up to the hype! I ordered the Jammin' Turkey with in-house turkey breast, Swiss, cranberry mayo, and bacon jam on grilled focaccia. We also tried the Pepperjack sandwich with chipotle aioli and another wrap, and honestly everything we had was really good. The fries were definitely a standout! They were crispy, seasoned, and worth ordering. read more

I am really perplexed by all the great reviews because our experience having breakfast at this restaurant was completely average. The service was average; the food was average and lacked any flair. And why would a place that tries to be upscale offer Coffee Mate (which is primarily water and corn syrup solids) but have no half-and-half available?! (We asked and our server said this was a recent change.) Then again, the coffee wasn't particularly good. Nice atmosphere and crowded but I really don't get it. Enjoyed a delicious Monday lunch at this tucked away spot. An easy on and off the highway but somehow still peacefully on the water. With both inside and outside seating, there's plenty of options for large and small groups. It has a cozy home diner vibe. I mean everything was pretty fantastic, but the service really stood out. This place runs like a well oiled machine, the hostesses and waitresses are attentive, quick, and very friendly. We were greeted and seated immediately as we walked through the door .. which is hard to get some places these days! They have great hard-working staff, and the food does not disappoint either! We've passed by this restaurant many times. We tried for the first time last week. It was obviously a spot for the locals to meet as even the waitstaff seemed to know the folks coming in. The restaurant is cute both inside and out. It had a big menu with lots of choices. We opted for fish tacos and their version of a French dip. Both were just ok. The taco presented pretty but the fish was overcooked and the topping were lacking in flavor. The sandwich was good. The meat was tender but the onions were under done and didn't enhance the sandwich. The fries were good and hot when they came out and were still good as the cooled off. Happy to find this little gem in CT. Came here for brunch on a sunday. The place is packed with a long wit, but thankfully they have some bar seats that were available, we ended up waiting 2-3 minutes to be seated. The menu is pretty straight forward... various pancakes, french toast and egg options. We ended up sharing some french toast (great) and i had one of the omelette options. Cute, charming breakfast/lunch spot just off the highway--stopped in for lunch and was super excited, but wound up fairly disappointed. I tried a special butternut squash bisque that just had an odd flavor--clearly lacked salt, but adding salt only really improved it up to edible; It still was ust not enjoyable. My salad with grilled salmon was a bit better--salmon nicely cooked, but the salad greens were fairly wilted and it came with an odd orange vinaigrette that I did not care for and didn't really think went well with the Greek-style salad. On the more positive side, my girlfriend's veggie burger was interesting--black bean, corn, and quinoa blend, I think--pretty flavorful. And they had very good coffee. Service was a bit slow and had to ask a couple of times for coffee/water to arrive, but friendly overall and it was a bit busy. I was kind of disappointed we didn't get here in time for breakfast, the breakfast menu sounded interesting--given their hours, seems odd to me they even stop serving breakfast at all--and equally disappointed it was deemed too chilly/they were not seating people outside, where it looked like a lovely view--feel like that might have improved the experience, but so it goes. read more
