I just had the best breakfast sandwich ever from here- cute place + staff was super sweet! The croissant was buttery and perfectly toasted, the hashbrown had just the right amount of crunch to it, cheesy eggs topped with juicy turkey bacon, delish!!!!

Small quiet shop with indoor and outdoor seating. The place was clean and the staff friendly. You could tell the food was made fresh to order. I loved the classic egg salad sandwich. The watermelon feta salad was big enough for two. My kids enjoyed the bacon, chicken noodle soup and grilled cheese. We will definitely be back.

Very happy we found this place! Attentive service, great food and friendly atmosphere. The menu provides a lot of options with reasonable prices. I like the mismatched coffee mugs featuring different tourist spots/destinations, very cute idea! The dining area has about 12 tables and a TV on the wall. We enjoyed sitting in the window while eating our tasty breakfast. Look forward to visiting again soon.

Great food. The Gyros!! Great service. The the random, various coffee mugs they use to serve coffee was cute.

Friendly staff; huge portions and the pancakes were hearty and delicious. This was a great find and a great place to stop after leaving NYC.

Good place to grab a quick breakfast or lunch nothing fancy but solid and reasonably price. Traditional Greek dishes a bonus.

The employee at this particular location was awesome when we came around 11am on a Saturday. He greeted us warmly and was super friendly as he made our sandwiches. A regular came in after us and he greeted him very enthusiastically too and had his entire order memorized. Great service. If you like spice, I recommend adding jalapeños and chipotle sauce to your order. Makes for a great kick. If you can, avoid the cubed chicken and get their grilled chicken instead.

Maybe New Englanders need to stop being douc**bags! Leave the snide gripe at home, come in here and get a 'wich - which I did - be kind, and quit ogling the staff. They're not there to be your pets or domestic cooks. Go to WalMart somebody below recommends! Walmart! That's the type people, who go to Subway to feel better than others. Quit it! My Subway Spicy Italian was crisp, fresh and even came wrapped in a French baguette style paper wrap (during Covid) which added some 'COOL', kid. Sal's Pizza & Pasta - Old Saybrook, CT…read more Slice Mob Takeover Nine members of the Slice Mob walked into Sal's Pizza & Pasta hungry. The pizzas never stood a chance. Located in Old Saybrook, Sal's is spacious, comfortable, and welcoming, with Italian classics playing in the background and plenty of room for a large gathering. It proved to be the perfect setting for a Slice Mob takeover. A variety of pizzas made their way to our tables, but I started with the basics: crushed tomatoes, fresh garlic, and grated Parmesan. Sometimes simple is best. Built on a beautifully crisp crust that held up from first bite to last, this pizza let the tomatoes shine. They were lightly seasoned and full of flavor, supported by the punch of garlic and the salty bite of Parmesan. No unnecessary distractions. Just a really well-executed pizza. Next up was Sal's Works. Same great crust and sauce foundation, loaded with sausage, pepperoni, bacon, roasted peppers, mushrooms, onions, and mozzarella. This pie struck a nice balance between meat-lover indulgence and vegetable-forward freshness. The toppings were applied with restraint and purpose, allowing every ingredient to contribute. Salty, sweet, savory, and packed with contrasting textures, from crispy bacon to tender sausage and vegetables, every bite worked. As more pizzas arrived, the room got a little quieter. That's usually a good sign. The Slice Mob tends to have plenty to say, but when great pizza hits the table, conversation takes a back seat. What stood out most? Not a single complaint from anyone. And if you've ever dined with the Slice Mob, you know that's about as rare as finding a parking spot in New Haven on a Saturday night. Michael, the second-generation owner, came out to greet us and pose for a photo. Super nice guy, humble, appreciative, and genuinely happy to see us. He also couldn't help but comment on the number of pizzas we ordered. Fair observation. We may have slightly exceeded the recommended daily allowance of pizza. The restaurant is beautiful. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. And perhaps most surprising in today's world, the prices were incredibly reasonable. Judging by the smiles around the room, the empty trays, and the steady stream of pizzas coming out of the kitchen, Sal's didn't just feed the Slice Mob. They won us over. Great owners. Great staff. Great pizza. Sal's Pizza & Pasta is officially Slice Mob Approved. Pizza is life. See you at the next slice.

We ordered a large regular pizza with extra cheese and a large salad. Before the food came out, the server brought us a large basket of warm bread and butter, which we were not expecting. That won us over immediately. Before long, she brought us an absolutely enormous salad. It had a nice variety of vegetables and a delicious balsamic vinegar and olive oil dressing. The pizza was perfectly cooked with a slight char, a nicely flavored cheese mix and a slightly sweet tomato sauce. The crust was thin and had a great texture. We were thrilled, and will definitely be back.
