This is one of those places that reminds me why we should always dine local over chains, if possible. I was amazed at how friendly the staff here was and how they treated us. We had a few hours to kill before our flight, so our local friend wanted to show us the cute little town of Chester. She recommended this spot for brunch; It's small, cute and incredibly charming. The prices were cheap and the food was great. They have a few tables inside or a couple outside, and sits right in the heart of the town. The Villager is awesome... In addition to having about every breakfast and lunch sandwich variation known to man, they also use all local ingredients for all of their sandwiches. I came for breakfast and was pleased to see that they have both indoor and outdoor seating, coffee, and a few pastry options. I got a coffee, a pasty, and a breakfast sandwich. An update is beyond overdue. I am in here at least once a week now and still continue to be blown away by their amazing breakfast creations. Recently, they had a breakfast Reuben and one of my other favorites had a whole roasted poblano with sweet Thai chili oil on Texas toast with eggs and sausage. WE stopped here unexpectedly off the high way because our children needed to use the bathroom. The Villager was already closed, but they let us in to use the restrooms. Also they gifted the kids muffins! We bought an iced coffee, which was wonderful! And they would not except an extra tip! Very Kind!!! Stopped in for lunch yesterday. I tried the meatballs and pasta fajoli. The meatballs were homemade not store bought which were awesome as well as the sauce. The pasta fajoli was like my grams, with meat, delicious. Definetly go again to try some others. Very friendly couple, at least I think they were a couple.
