The sandwiches were phenomenal! Everyone enjoyed Thanksgiving, pulled pull, and falafel. The lemon bar was one of the best I've had. The chocolate chip cookie and coffee were also good. The place is so cute with activities for the kids. The service was wonderful. We will be back. read more

With a mission statement like that (please refer to posted picture), how can you not be a fan? They have baked goods, coffee, tea (Harney & Sons too), and ice cream. The place is bright, welcoming, and friendly. There are plenty of small tables inside the main area. To the right of the counter is another small room with a few more tables, but it has a cozy, sitting room feel. A nice place to chat and catch up with friends. There are also a few small tables and chairs just outside as well. Although I had just eaten, the croissants and muffins were pretty tempting. I had an iced coffee and they were more than happy to put it in the travel mug I had brought. I am very happy and excited to have this lovely little place nearby. If you're looking for a great coffee and ice cream in a nice atmosphere, look no further! I stumbled across The Nest while doing a trip around the Connecticut beach towns. Inside we were greeted by friendly employees in a very quaint store. Half of the inside is a shop with locally made products and the other half is a nice sit down area. Me and my dad both tried the affogato and we loved it. My dad thought it was one of the best ones so far. The outside had a few tables and benches that I got to enjoy my awesome dessert on. The menu has a lot more such as teas and pastries. I also found out they're associated with A Little Compassion Inc which does a lot to help young adults with disabilities. Not only are you getting a great coffee but you're supporting a great cause! read more

When I went with friends to the nest coffeehouse a year ago, the inside is beautiful and has this country style look and the tea I ordered was good and one of the employees that took my order was very nice!! I also love how this place changes people with special needs by having them work at the cafe and as well as having meetup events including the water lantern lighting they have every year. I would definitely come here again with my other friends when I am able to and would also love to see this place open other locations in the state of Connecticut to help more people with special needs get a job. read more

What a special place! The owners and staff have really done a great job with The Nest. The coffee shop is such a cute spot to come in and catch up with a friend over a good cup of coffee and pastry. I've been coming to Nest ever since they opened their doors. I love the coffee, the ice cream, and the food but those things are not the biggest reason why I come here more than twice a week. It's the positive energy that I feel every time I walk through the doors. I've come to know quite a few employees here, including the owner, and everyone is so welcoming. If I'm having a rough day I come here and I feel better after I leave (not just because I have a Reese's Cookie to help me through the rest of my day). I've noticed more of my coworkers have started to come here just because they see me coming back from here with coffee so often. It's a great place and if you haven't gone, I recommend it.
