My first and only experience at Iron Works was for a friends 30th birthday party. For the festivities we had the full upstairs area to ourselves. The area offered a bar as well as a large seating area, dance floor and side rooms with comfortable private seating. The appetizers were all very delicious and the service was also very good. I would say this is definitely a nice place for a private function. Although I have never been here for dinner I will surely try it out in the future. read more

I enjoy the ambiance of this bar and restuarant. The cherry oak bar and dim lighting give it a hole-in-the wall feel but the menu has quality items listed and the food is delicious. My only gripe is that the prices are very steep. 2 beers on tap will run you over $14. With that said, the servers and tenders are very nice and friendly and the bar often times has a special vodka or sangria concoction that is very tasty. I recommend visiting Iron Works Tavern, just expect the bill to be larger than a usual restuarant stop. read more

Their fries were delicious, food was a little pricy but all very good.

Asian calamari is tasty but very soggy, and the burger i got was very good. The wait staff and manager were very attentive on a busy night which was good, overall a good time and i will go again. read more

While on vacation in Cape Cod, we decided to spend a night in Providence. Boy are we glad we did. We had an extremely pleasant dining experience. The service, food, wine and beer selections were all A+. The ambiance is one of the best ever. If you are ever in the Providence, Rhode Island are, be sure to stop into this wonderful restaurant. read more

I've been here a few times, twice for dinner and twice for drinks. The service is always just right and on my last visit, the bartender was able to make me a "seasonal drink" at my request, some pumpkin concoction which is actually exactly what I was looking for and it was amazing. I would go back just for that! read more

Service was alright. Everything is a bit expensive. I had the short rib Mac and cheese.. The short ribs were very dry. It wasn't cheesy enough, and it was doused in super dry bread crumbs. Skip it read more

Nice atmosphere and friendly, attentive waitstaff. The food, however, was lacking. I ordered the burger, medium, and it arrived so well done that a large piece of the patty broke off. The fries were a bit soggy and the ends of some of them were burnt. The scallops were well-seasoned with flavorful beurre blanc. The salad was decent, with varied greens. It's size didn't quite justify the price, however ($16, with steak). read more

I asked my co-worker if he had been here before and he said yes, its ok. I looked on yelp and it has a solid three star rating. I will also be stating the same. Its not great, its not bad. Its ok. Service is good. Food is ok. The space is actually the great thing about it. But the ambiance just does not make the place better than...."ok". read more

Pretty good for a hotel restaurant ! Short rib sliders were great. My son had the lobster roll and loved it. Drinks were made well and refilled quickly. Great service would definitely go back! read more

Nice atmosphere and vibe. Bartenders are attentive and make great cocktails, especially Kenny! Crab cake appetizer is excellent! Loved the scallops, but only recommendation is to give more risotto. It was skimpy and it really doesn't cost you much for that, so why not make customers feel like they are getting a hearty meal? The scallops were succulent though! read more

I have to say I was expecting much more than I received. I had the surf and turf. The steak was too fatty to finish and the shrimp was fishy. My friend had the filet. He said it was good but not worth the $30. I usually would not have anything negative to say but pass on this place. read more

your french onion soup is rich and comforting & the iceberg/blue cheese wedge was crisp and fresh. i cant wait to try more of your eats :) read more

My second time here during travels! I highly recommend it. You know it's good when it's connected to a hotel & there are more locals than travelers. Great food & service! read more

3 stars for ambiance. Great if you're staying at the hotel as Garden Inns rarely have attached restaurants. I would advise, however, choosing a few appetizers where you can't go wrong. I went for the $30 lobster casserole.. Out of shell with seafood stuffing... Wrong choice. That was one tiny lobster. Couple of cool spots in the casserole and the lobster was somewhat sashimi like. I sent it back and it came right back with the admonition that it was INDEED properly prepared. Maybe it's a regional thing. But, truly, what a crappy service attitude. Whatever.... I'm the customer and probably should have been given a little more consideration. I'm thinking management is to blame here cause these aren't happy employees! Maybe that's a regional thing too. Bottom line... Don't make this a destination for a fine restaurant. It's not. High end bar & grill for sure. Really? 30 bucks for that TV dinner? Get real. read more

I'm going to give it to you straight Great service Food - depends upon what you order Lamb lollipops - no Calamari - yes Tuna tartare-yes Ceasar Salad - yes Burger - yes Korean Calbi sandwich - yes IWT Sundae - Yes Fish entree's smelled fishy read more

Probably some of the best salmon I've ever had. I've had it twice there and it's amazing. Boyfriend is a vegetarian and he's enjoyed his meals. The atmosphere is nice and cozy, a little dark at night though. Both times I've been there the manager has checked in at our table to see how everything was going. Haven't sat at the bar but it looks very nice. Food is a little more expensive than a lot of places, but, I think it's worth the quality of food. read more

Beef short rib is to die for, appetizers are great. Wish they would change their table set up though!

Such a surprise when we walked inside ! Truly lovely ambiance . Good lighting - not bright but light enough that you can read the darn menu !! I had the butternut bisque - Amazing and creamy '. Slight taste of Apple ! And then I had the Veal Porterhouse . Omg. If this is on the menu , you must order it !! Came with delicious roasted asparagus and fingerlings !!!! My compadre had the flat iron stake - And her plate was shiny clean when she was done !!! Very very good food !!!! read more

I'm not a huge fan of the loudness in there, but the food is wicked good, from apps to desserts.

I stayed at the HGI for a business conference and took lunch at the attached Iron Works Tavern. I had fried scallops. The scallops were of the bay variety, quite small. They were very lightly breaded and were actually very tasty. The service was fine and the overall decor pleasant. read more

We had a decent lunch there, so we returned for dinner. Shrimp was really smelly, and the entrees were barely adequate. Manager had nothing to say about me returning shrimp that was food poisoning. Very disappointing. read more

This restaurant was our last during a week away from home. I was looking for something light after eating and drinking all week. They had a few vegetarian options available. I choose the special vegetarian dish and it was really satisfying to this meat eater. This place was also kind of cozy. Perfect atmosphere for the cold weather! read more

We had a late dinner on Saturday night during restaurant week. I was surprised the crowd was not much bigger. The menu offered something for everyone. Whether you happened to be a hungry parent surviving the MLK weekend hockey tournament or looking for a nice date night experience... I think the IWT would be a great choice. The cover band was outstanding. The guitar player and vocalist happened to be very entertaining. Overall we had an unexpected treat and great time!! read more

Had lunch - Flatiron steak with roasted root veggies. Everything was excellent.

I travel to his part of the world a handful of times a year and I always stay at the HGI so I can eat here. Great food, great staff. 1/2 price appetizers from 3-6 and it includes the Oysters!!! If you are in Warwick, give it a try, you won't be disappointed!!! read more

My favorite restaurant in Providence area. People are really greT. They even found the South Carolina football game on tv for me once. I highly recommend it. Thanks. read more

I've eaten here about 10 times now while on business. The bar service is always exceptional. The food is always on point. In fact the arugula salad is one of the best salads I've ever had. Dressed lightly with a nice nutty crunch. Why 4 and not 5? It is a little pricey and I didn't like the salmon tacos. I recommend: - Warm quinoa salad - Gnochi - Bacon chicken ranch pizza - Arugula salad - A good ol fashion burger Great food and great service. read more

One of my all time favorites!!! Good menu, entertainment on weekends and daily appetizer specials. Can't go wrong. Food is great!

I went here for the first time a couple of weeks ago and was very pleased. My girlfriend and I sat at the bar and the bartender was very friendly and attentive. Between 3-5 the appetizers are half price and there are many delicious choices. The atmosphere was pretty also. I will definitely be returning. read more

Very nice scenery and a chill atmosphere. I will definitely be going back possibly with a date! I sat at the bar where Michael was bartending. Great bartender! He was easy to talk to and knew when you needed something. I ordered the smoke-wood Burger with hand cut fries. The order did take a little while to be served. The burger was worth the wait, it was a juicy fat burger with flavors pouring out. I almost couldn't manage getting a whole bite in ,top bun to bottom bun. Fries where Ehh, there was an odd flavor almost fishy. They were served a scrod burger, maybe they were using same pans? Idk it was very faint and maybe not even fishy so not a big deal. All over a very good place to consider trying! read more

Not knowing what to expect, we were pleasantly surprised. The Host and Waiter were both very friendly, and our waiter took the time to explain the menu to us. The food was absolutely phenomenal, pulled shirt rib Mac n cheese..... We will be back here next time we are in the area, no doubt!!! read more

This rating is in the middle based on two visits. The first time I ordered the lobster sauté. It was incredible. It had lots of perfectly cooked lobster and a really superb sauce. The second time - not so good. There was not much lobster. It was overlooked and there were two shrimp pieces substituted for the lobster. I was not impressed. The same with the service. The first time it was impeccable. The second visit was mediocre. We had to ask for bread and ask for a refill on an obviously empty glass. read more

Service was great. Nice to see involvement from the manager. Burger was cooked perfectly, Med-rare.

Was up in Rhode Island for a wedding and was in the mood for some good New England chowder. I was not disappointed here. Delicious, thick and full of clams, potatoes and veggies. Well worth the trip. This place is a high end pub/bar/restaurant and the food if very good, very well prepared and reasonably priced. Service was very good although we got there late in the afternoon on a Friday and it was not that crowded. That made me wonder a bit but the food counteracted that feeling. Nice atmosphere about the place. Worth trying. read more

Boring, white bread menu in a pleasant dining room with polite staff. Nothing special. Dishes tried were chicken Gorgonzola with a house salad. Companion had wings and fries. Starchy pasta and wet wings. read more

First time patron of the Iron Works in Warwick, only heard great things so I assumed this place was hyped up.... They are not hyped up! We called ahead for a reservation for a party and three and got there a few minutes before the reservation (which is what you should do) and we were seated immediately. At first glance the menu was small. Like crazy small. Like one of the smallest menus I've ever seen.... Even tho the menu was small they had some pretty good looking options. Everyone in my party got a different dish. I myself got the pulled pork sandwich and the salad and it was great. We got the fries as an app and they were unreal! Everything was so good we got the almond toffee cheesecake for dessert and it was as good as a cheesecake you'd get at the Cheesecake factory. The waiter and the manger came by multiple times and the food came out relatively quickly. We will without a doubt be going back to Iron Works in the near future. read more

See all

I stopped in for a solo dinner while in town for business. After waiting 10 min for spot at the bar I had great service and an amazing braised beef short rib dinner. I would have been 5 stars on this rating but the beer selection was lacking and price of food was a bit more than it should be for what I got. Service and quality were great, just don't expect to leave here under $40 for a drink, tip, and dinner. read more

Mediocre, overpriced meal which took forever to come out of the kitchen. My meal, the half roasted chicken, was overcooked but we had waited so long for food that we couldn't complain because we'd miss our evening activity. My husband's burger was adequate; my kids' pizza was fine. The Caesar salad dressing was really sweet, which was very odd (definitely avoid that!). Ambiance was loud but therefore good with kids; the restaurant had appealing décor. Our server was nice. read more

Came here once with a few girl friends and never again will I be back. Took a while for someone to approach us to get our drink order which the drinks weren't anything special. I just also felt out of place being the type of crowd that seemed to flock here that night was just pure trash. read more
