Nice restaurant attached to Hilton hotel. Normally those are not this nice! Great bar! I ordered room service the first night & French dip was just ok and wish I would have gone to pick it up to save the huge extra charges. The second day I had Cesar salad with scallops bye scallops where burned on one side. Last day I had blackened salmon Cesar which was AMAZING!!! Others at table tried it and all were impressed!! read more

I/we had dinner there last evening. We were part of a party of 6. We got there early (5:30 p.m.) because we were going to a show afterwards. Our experience started with our inept waitress bringing drinks and water to our table and then preceding to spill a full glass of water onto the table, and all over my friends lap. In my opinion the experience went down hill after that. By 6:00 p.m, what had started out as a nice quiet atmosphere, turned into a very loud busy bar crowd. If that's what you're looking for this is your place. As for the food, I thought it was okay, but overpriced for what you got. I don't think I'll be back anytime soon, as there are too many other less expensive better choices out there. Oh by the way, I ordered an appetizer well before the 6:00 p.m. cut off for it to be half price and my waitress came back an informed me that it was 6:01 p.m. when she tried to put it in, and therefore it was now full price. All I could say was really"??? I would have given this visit 2 1/2 stars but couldn't figure out how to do that. read more

We held our rehearsal dinner upstairs at Iron Works and it was perfect. From the moment we requested a quote, the Newport Restaurant Group (who own Iron Works) team was outstanding with communication, promptness, and crafting the rehearsal dinner that fit our needs. When there were so many aspects of our wedding planning that we were juggling, we appreciated not having to worry about our rehearsal dinner because we knew Emily had everything covered. And the event execution was excellent - including the food and service. We definitely would recommend choosing Iron Works for your rehearsal dinner or another private event read more

We went here in a group of about 10. Our server was pretty awesome concidering our group. Everything were had was awesome tasting. I think between everyone at our table, we had one of each of the appetizers and I thought they were all pretty good. I had a steak for dinner and it was perfect. and a wedge salad YUM. we did more drinking than eating it seemed and had a really great time. the down side. They didn't have a changing station in the bathroom for babies. I had a hard time with that one. I would go back again. read more

We went there tonight for the first time since they reopened as part of the Newport Restaurant Group. We have been going to the IWT regularly for at least 2 years. What a huge disappointment. Firsr, no more bread, which was great at the old IWT. The menu is very limited, and not very appealing. There were no specials, either. I had pork schnitzel, which was not too bad, but the mashed potatoes were horrendous! They tasted somewhere between hospital and cafeteria mashed. No flavor and ansolutely cold. My friend said his chicken was very dry and he likes dry chicken. The drinks went up in price, but shrunk in size. Good bye, IWT. 2 stars because the service was decent. Food gets 1 star. read more

Delicious food, great drinks, and excellent service every time I've gone. Definitely recommend!

Cool bar with a good beer selection and good service. I like the classier pub look and though I didn't have any food, it looks like they have a pretty good kitchen. On a Tuesday night just expect a room part full of business guys traveling and staying in the adjacent hotel. read more

This is a wonderful tavern and great food - I got the "Raw seafood platter" - special for $40 bucks that included 6 large oysters, 6 clams, 4 colossal shrimp and nice seafood salad. read more

Amazing service and friendly staff! Food was delicious and perfectly cooked. We ordered calamari and nachos for appetizers. Then the braised short ribs, steak frites, and pork schnitzel for entrees. My daughter also ordered the cookie sundae from the kids menu. Kenny was wonderful and gave us some great ideas for places to go and things to do during our stay! read more

No Thanks (Giving)! I decided to try someplace new for Thanksgiving! BIG MISTAKE! Obviously, this is a "trendy", "Hipster" restaurant! I ordered the "Traditional" Thanksgiving dinner with a side of Truffled Brussel Sprouts. The Brussel sprouts were dry as hell! Almost looked dehydrated! No flavor left to them! The dinner, (if you can call it that) had a scoop of what tasted to me like "Stove Top" stuffing. A scoop of the most bland potatoes I ever ate. The turkey was so over cooked, it fell apart and was dry as balsa wood! Undereath it all are what they call, "roots"! These roots were cubes of hard, tasteless filler! They were uneatable! They don't give you dinner rolls unless you ask and "surprise"! They were the best part of the meal! I will stick with The Greenwood Inn where you can get a Thanksgiving dinner any day and it's delicious! I (I gave them one star for the rolls!) read more

Amazing half price apps during happy hour and great house made sangria. Bacon wrapped scallops and homemade chips with French onion dip were so good. Only reason it gets four stars instead of five is due to a lack of outdoor seating. (They had a patio area upstairs but it was closed) read more

Cassie was our waitress last night, did a fantastic job serving. My wife and I had the lobster roll and a bacon cheeseburger. Both outstanding, we both travel and have been in the restaurant and hotel business for a number of years. I had just got off a plane and my wife has been up here working for a week. Cassie had suggested the bacon infused meatloaf. A gentleman that from Seattle sat at a table next to us and ordered the meatloaf. Again we loved what we had, but Cassie we should have listened to you. I let the manager know on our way out that Cassie did a great job. Thus will always be a stop in my way through town. read more

I was staying at the Courtyard Marriott, and I decided to give Iron Works a try. Good ambiance. Definitely an after work spot for some folks. It's a bit pricey, but the food, drinks, and service were very good. I would recommend stopping by for happy hour, as they have half-price appetizers and good drink specials. read more

I had the wood grilled salmon and I was a bit worried I would still be hungry as I didnt think it would be a lot of enough as there isnt really sides. Well they definitely proved me wrong. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the edamame succotash was the extra that I didnt know I needed. All in all it was a great experience, a little awkward when i walked in and the entire staff was staring since it seemed like I was the first customer of the lunch rush at 3, but I would definitely recommend. A+++++++. Food was extremely appetizing. We had a party of 5. I had the Vegan board. Absolutely Delish! We also had chicken Parm sandwich, pork schnitzel, Lobster roll, truffle fries, we all cleared all plates. Food was fresh and made to order. Waitress was great and attentive. Manager type also came to the table to ensure quality of food and happiness. I would recommend, and will be visiting again soon. read more

We were a party of 6 celebrating a college graduation and it was TERRIFIC Our waiter Chuck was personal and attentive. His food recommendations were spot on. We were NOT disappointed would highly recommend this place. read more

This place is on the dark side, the food is just ok and the prices are on the high side. The drinks at the bar are good but on the small side. I would say with all the choices in Warwick I would pass on this place, nothing special. A pro the wait staff are nice and fast. read more

Tonight was my first time here, and I will definitely be back. We had a group of 13 - everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food. This is one of our favorite restaurants...we go for the food, but more importantly we go to see our favorite bartenders! #Kenny #Lisa

Went here for a post Christmas meal on a Thursday night. The live music was great as was the service. As for our meal; lovely! The meatloaf was delish and my steak was done very nicely. I will be back. I am new to town and plan to make this spot a place to bring visitors to, well done! I also want to mention how pleasant the waiter was. This was a pleasant change from the type of interaction I came to expect from dining in the Bay area...where the wait staff was always doing the diners a great 'service' by being at their table at any given time. This man actually seemed to enjoy his job. read more

I chose the Iron Works Tavern for a special event recently. The upstairs is absolutely gorgeous with beautiful woodwork rich with architectural detail. The food and service were outstanding from the crudités and dip presentation/display to the passed apps to the pasta. Lori and her staff run a first class operation. Foods are excellent, but communication and customer service bad. Made us wait about half hour when the food was already done. We called in to order 20 minutes before we get there for the curbside pickup. When we were there, we called the girl again to let her that we're at the curbside pickup. She said she would check the order and let us know if it's ready. Waited and waited for almost half hour, we called again, he checked then he brought the food out and said waiting for us to come in to pay. So disappointed, if we need to come in to pay, please tell us, don't let us wait like that. So to me it's a poor communication! We ate there before and we loved it. But this is our first time putting an order for pickup. read more

Very busy upon arrive ( I like that, makes me think it is a great spot) well it was a great spot, service was professional & attentive, food was delicious. one Chicken mac & Cheese, One Prime Rib Sandwich with Truffle fries ( a Must get!) and Steak Frites, everyone cleaned their plates, the sandwich was one of the best I have had. The Mac & Cheese was creamy, and very tasty, plus it was the portion of Mac & Cheese you say you will never finish, but have to because it is that good. The Steak Frites, was cooked rare as it was asked for, and the fries nice & Hot. Waitress was very professional, great atmosphere. We were here on a Cold Thursday night, cannot imagine how busy a Saturday night is. I Highly recommend the Iron Works Tavern,I have to say it is on the top of my list of good restaurant experiences lately. read more

Very convenient location next to the Hilton. While in town for an event chose to make reservations here. Restaurant was comfortable, clean and friendly. Waitstaff very efficient. In regards to food - the burger was excellent. My date had the meatloaf and was slightly under impressed but would rate it a 3.5 out of 5. Quality and freshness of food seemed slightly above average and is priced moderately. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone staying in the area as a sure bet for a decent bite and good drinks. I was also impressed that they were able to handle the large amount of people in attendance for our weekend event - I'm sure they felt the pressure but we felt it didn't show. read more

We live this spot. Great specials. Nice staff. A great find. Everything we've had is delish.

This was my second visit and something I had looked forward to for months since my first visit had been very enjoyable. My husband ordered fish and chips and the server asked if he wanted fries or a salad. Hmm - isn't is fish and CHIPS? - would someone really order a salad instead of fries? I ordered the grilled pizza special - arugula, tomatoes, 4 cheese, chicken, balsamic, etc. - and I asked for a side salad. The server walked away and then I realized I hadn't been asked what type of salad dressing I wanted. The salad arrived and it was a HUGE mixed green salad with some sort of a creamy Italian dressing. It tasted fine to me so we went ahead and shared it. My only issue was that it wasn't a "side salad" so it cost about $7. Our meals arrived and my husband's fish and chips looked very good. It was a large piece of fish - which he discovered to be mostly batter - some fries getting soggy under the fish and some mildly seasoned - think bland - coleslaw. He wasn't impressed. My pizza was horribly burnt. Unfortunately the server did a 'drop and run' so I had to wait for ten minutes before she returned to send it back. So after another few minutes the server returned again to say that the kitchen was firing up another pizza for me - and yes, 'firing' turned out to be the case - when the second pizza arrived instead of being 100% burnt, it was perhaps 90% burnt. The kicker for me was that the host slid the pizza onto the table in front of me, stared me down and said "a perfectly prepared pizza". I knew it was a lost cause to send it back again so I tried to eat some of the middle part of the pizza but it was really a disgusting pizza. The chicken tasted 'off' , the crust was not edible and the cheeses made the pizza a greasy mess. Yuck. Another issue we had was that my husband asked for tartar sauce part way through his meal and the server brought him a small container that had a yellow crust on top. We sent it back with the host who eventually brought out more tartar sauce but my husband had finished his fish by then. So, with tip, the lunch was a $41 mistake. We won't be going back. read more

My parents, my husband, my daughter and I visited Iron Works Tavern for their advertised Mother's Day Brunch. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. We had reservations at 12 o'clock. We were greeted, given a quick description of the buffet setup and our waiter took our drink orders. It all went downhill from there. The food was cold and completely void of flavor. My husband took a few pieces of shellfish from the "raw bar" and there was no liquid in the shells - the fish was completely dried out. Besides the food being generally lousy, there was only one tray of each dish and the buffet was set up on what must be a bar, there was a lot of congestion in the buffet area and it was difficult to pass around. My mother had a mimosa and concluded that not only was it mixed poorly (and was therefore mostly orange juice) it wasn't even tasty orange juice. In all, for the $30 per person we paid, we all left hungry and ended up having a much better meal at a pizza place in Cranston. I don't know if the restaurant is any good for regular meal service (meaning, not a special brunch) but I won't be returning to find out. read more
