Wife and i came here to try Brunch as we were here before for an early dinner with our teenage children. Luckily we were able to get a table in a timely fashion as i forgot to make a reservation which i advise for the Sunday Brunch.. we arrived an hour after it opened and all the tables were taken and even the bar was crowded so we had to wait 20 minutes.. the food was great when we came for dinner so we were looking forward to trying brunch especially that the had bottomless mimosas option.. the brunch did not disappoint except i wish they had a brunch appetizer even though the food came out fast fresh and hot i was famished and was looking forward to see how they spun a breakfast appetizer..as with the pictures i posted everything was well presented and tasted soo good.. they had about ten different flavors of Bellini/mimosas that you can choose from i had the mango and my wife had the guava..we left there feeling very satisfied and looking to go back as soon as we can. prices are decent and service was right on!! great place to go to Peekskill!! read more

Love Iron Vine's brunch! Between bottomless mimosas and they're delicious entree's. I have brunched here several times and always recommend to friends. I have also came once for dinner- we sat at the bar. The food, again was delicious. I understand they recently have revamped their menu with new items. Can't wait to go back and try. Also the service is always on point. read more

A Friday night and on the hunt for something new. Mm Iron Vine, Main st Peekskill. Let's give it a shot, 7:30 reservation and we're seated by our cordial hostess. It's a inviting storefront restaurant with, I'd guess 20 tables and a bar that seats 8 or so. There's no wasted space, but it's not crammed, it's rightly comfortable. Drinks ordered and time to check the menu. They have many smalls, BTW, it's a Spanish restaurant and tapas is a headliner. We take the bait ceviche & Salmon tostada for me and my partner, octopus & fries. Iron Vine is busy, not with diners, but staff is always on the move. They're friendly and engaging, you get the sense they really like what they do and always with a smile. I had a Sangria which was delivered my the bartender, again wit an engaging smile. Our tapas fills our table and the main event is at hand. All our dishes were very fine, but noteworthy in my book was the Salmon and Ceviche, they were exceptional and fairly sizable for tapas. Both my dishes were so tasteful, I felt I had entered a culinary heaven. We shared desert and I had a marvelous coffee delivered in a French press, nice touch, and enough for two, though I was the only coffee drinker that night, I was happy to have a 2nd. We're getting close to 9pm and the ambient sound level raised considerably. So, our timing was perfect and we soon departed, feeling happy and satisfied. Iron Vine was a stab in the dark for us and I'm so pleased we found it. Special thanks to chef for beautiful and extraordinary fare and to the wait staff for welcoming and serving us with such delight. When next you visit Peekskill, Iron Vine is a MUST try, you will be rewarded read more

What a great find. I was in Peekskill returning from a morning of running errands and was in that 'I want something good but I don't want the same old stuff.' Having grown up on westchester, familiarity is the norm. Iron Vine was a very pleasant surprise. Starting with the dark brick and the sliding wrought iron door entrance, I immediately felt at home. As a fairly basic eater, but a lover of brunch, I was initially intimidated by the menu, as everything obviously had a Latin theme. This went away at the first bite. Crab and shrimp eggs Benedict with avocado salsa-absolutely delicious. Bacon that was literally fresh out of the pan and crisped to perfection. The story behind the restaurants creation-with the majority of the structure coming from old burned down buildings in peekskill-is a treat to hear from the knowledgeable wait staff. They lost a star when we had to ask three times for coffee with our brunch cocktails. read more

Probably the best restaurant in Peekskill. We had the shrimp, chorizo, hummus, wings, bacon wrapped dates and the octopus tapas. All delicious and bursting with flavor. Don't forgot to dip your bread in the shrimp sauce. For entrees we had the skirt steak, chicken and Cuban sandwich. Again all where bursting with flavor. We where too full for dessert. Our waitress Stephanie was outstanding. The table side wine pouring was a nice touch. Returned the other night for another great meal. Again best restaurant in Peekskill. All the food is bursting with flavor. Looking forward to our next visit!!!! read more

I've been here on a regular day for lunch but have come back multiple times for their brunch! The brunch menu is delicious. They also have bottomless mimosas, with flavors from coconut, guava, and more. The place is small and cozy. Definitely make reservations for brunch as they can get pretty busy. read more

Awesome brunch complete with bottomless mimosas (pay extra for, which is reasonable)! I ate the El Jibarito and it was delicious!

We went there for Tapas. It feels like you are in Manhattan. Very trendy, beautifully decorated Loved the cheese board and the gambas. Spanish wine was very good. Only complaint is that it has bad acoustics. Very noisy! read more

We were hiking at Bear Mt. and were looking for something not too far away. Stumbled upon this as my brother-in-law checked Yelp and gave a green light to this place. Service was very pleasant and knowledgable. Food was delicious (not a bad entree or tapas in the bunch). Drinks were spot on. Atmosphere subdued and trendy. The Cuban sandwich, Empanada of the day (pork), salads, and even the burgers....everyone enjoyed their meal. Nice amount of microbrews on tap. In my opinion, Peekskill isn't the hippest of places, but you can see this downtown area is trying, and the Iron Vine is one of the staples that might make this happen sooner than later. There is an argument to give this place 5 stars to be honest....I'd give a solid 4.5. If there is a drawback, the prices are a bit on the high side...everything could probably be a buck or two less. I would go back here again in a heartbeat. read more

My girlfriend and I showed up on a Saturday evening after a long 20 mile trail run. Needless to say we were famished and looking for a few good beers. Rachel, our bartender/server was extremely helpful in explaining the latin influenced dishes and steering us in the right direction. I ordered the Cuban and my girlfriend the El Jibarito. Both came out absolutely perfect and were quite filling (even for a couple who just burned some 2,000 calories each). The beer list was great, emphasizing a myriad of local breweries. I went with a Davidson Brothers Summer Ale and Kerri a nice and light Belgian beer. Both were spot on recommendations from Rachel, exactly what we were looking for. All in all, I loved the atmosphere here and the food was a stellar cut above even the Astoria restaurants we frequent in our home neighborhood. Can't wait to go back next time we're up in Peekskill! read more

This was a fab meal! Loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We had the seafood salad, seafood empanada and the skirt steak. Each dish was wonderful. I also had the "Garden of Eden" drink and it was the perfect combination of grapefruit and sugar. We will definitely be back again! read more

Excellent service, comfortable and a pleasure! Location is great and drinks are good. I love the guy with the beard. He is the best!

The evening I attended Iron Vine (which was my first evening going to Iron Vine), when it came time for me to pay for my check, my friend and myself decided to have particular items charged on our individual debit cards. After I clearly specified which card I wanted which item from our bill to be charged to to the waiter, the waiter reversed our cards charges and confused our bill. I found this mistake to be unacceptable given that there are many reasons why, as a customer, I specifically asked for the waiter to charge particular items to my friend and I's individuals cards. In my view, the waiter's lack of attentiveness around fulfilling this request correctly is a sign of a lack of seriousness around my interest or attention to the restaurant as a customer. If Iron Vine seeks to attract customer interest, attention and attendance to its business, I recommend that Iron Vine's management direct their waitstaff to pay attention to their customer's requests related to all aspects of their transaction with a customer. read more

Good location and decorated nice. The tables were very close, I felt like we were eating on top of each other and the tables were small. Sometimes there is a band/DJ, like I mentioned, the place is way too small for that! read more

First time here! The atmosphere, staff and service is awesome. We had a bottle of the Tempranillo wine- delicious. Before this Ben, the bartender, was nice enough to open bottles for us to try. We ordered the ceviche and octopus appetizers. Both were good but the octopus was a bit salty. Afterwards we ordered cocktails...the Manhattan and Paz en Colombia both were great! Oh btw we sat at the bar. If you want a table make sure you make a reservation bc it gets super packed. I will definitely return for a sit down dinner. Oh and another thing...loved the Latin music!! read more

The Iron Vine is a solid place to go out with friends or family on a Friday or Saturday night. The vibe is a compilation of Spanish roots - the menu of "tapas" - mixed with current popular music, classic wine, and margaritas. The service was friendly, if the wait was a long (my party was on the large side). The food itself was great, not excellent. The steak was cooked well to request. The Jibarito was great, with the plantain bun adding an excellent flavor. I would recommend this place to anyone in Peekskill looking for an upbeat classy place to eat on a weekend. Cheers. read more

Been here twice, once when they first opened and again recently. Both times the food has been very enjoyable, though not sublime. Most recently we shared a "crispy seafood salad" which wasn't a whole lot more than a well made spring mix salad with calamari on it, but nonetheless came off as a nice balance of fresh and fried. Followed that with I believe a grilled octopus dish--also good, large portion, well cooked--and finished with a Columbian empanada that was, well, an empanada. We were sharing everything and wanted them to come out sequentially, but it all came at once. It seems that happens at least half the times regardless of where we go, so I don't demote Iron Vine for it. Our server was enthusiastic and very knowledgable about both the wine list and the food. Their beer list is surprisingly good and varies--often they have more interesting selections than the many more numerous at Birdsall, which is hands-down the best bar in town--but the food and style lends itself more to wine. For atmosphere, the place is cozy, low faux-tin ceilings and a lot of exposed brick and wood. It can be pretty noisy, but that helps the place feel alive and busy--it hasn't gotten to clamorous either time we've been. Happy to see they're doing well and thriving; this place will only do better and better. read more

Great place with great brunch!! Service can be a little slow when they are packed but still 5 stars worthy :)

I really like this place. A welcome addition to the city. I loved the ceviche! The drink selection is fun too. I would recommend making a reservation at prime hours on the weekend. We had to wait for a bar seat because tables were reserved for people who called in early. read more

This place is a bit unexpected in this area. Outside, Peekskill is an up and coming area that seems like it's still recovering from a decline. Once you walk in here though, it was as if we were back in Spain or a trendy little place in the Village. The bacon wrapped dates were top notch, the fresh squeezed pineapple juice was delicious, the churrasco was perfectly cooked and well seasoned, and the crema Catalan was a nice little homage to Spain. The price was decent, and the service was usually friendly. Would come back for sure. read more

My favorite spot to eat in Peekskill. Not to mention it's the perfect date spot and their brunch is top notch.

Food is great. Atmosphere amazing. .everything in the restaurant is from Peekskill! !! Highly recommend! !

Hmmmm... Here we go! The place is cute and quaint inside. The decor and aesthetic is pleasing to the eye but a tad cliche' Ok so OVERALL the service was wonderful! Rachel is super peppy and attentive! I loved her level of enthusiasm!!!! Thanks Rachel!!!! Appetizers or "Starters" I tried the bacon wrapped dates... Ehhhh I wasn't too crazy about them...I'm not crazy about dates but decided to try them anyhow... Ehhhhhh I was expecting something...different, I guess, but I didn't get it... My boyfriend had the Ceviche, ok tasty but not overly impressed with it... It didn't WOW us it was just ok... The shrimp appetizer was delish!!!! Thumbs up!!!! Nice, big, shrimp and quite a few of them in a delish sauce yummy! They didn't skimp on the shrimp! Finally, we shared the skirt steak. Rare and cooked to perfection was delicious BUT again, I wasn't really WOWED... Now for the drinks.... I felt like I was in midtown Manhattan...Jesus...$$$$ Muy expensivo I mean, we're in Peekskill for Christ's sakes $12 per DRINK!!!! I didn't think I'd have to pre-game before going out to dinner... They were ok by the way, I didn't feel like I got $12 worth of alcohol. Sorry, I'm not a BITC* just honest. I did graduate from C.I.A after all, and NO I'm not a pretentious snob either. You NEED to be able to handle these criticisms to be able to GROW YOUR BUSINESS. And... I'M DONE... read more

What a great little spot - incredibly well finished with great service. We came over for an after-dinner drink and really fell in love with this place. The Iron Vine space is quite small but is cozy, surprisingly quiet, beautifully decorated and refreshingly well-lit. We sat at the bar and were served by a very professional, outgoing and skilled bartender. We only had drinks and coffee, but wish we would have had our whole meal there! For some reason, Yelp does not list Iron Vine when you filter 'good for dinner'. The establishment should look into this because we did not consider it for dinner as a result. Oddly, Birdsall (which is next door) is listed as the #1 place in the town that is 'good for dinner' yet it was terrible for dinner and was MUCH more bar than restaurant... whereas Iron Vine is more restaurant than bar. My Old Fashioned was expertly prepared and my wife's top-shelf Margarita was really well done too. We ordered French-press afterwards which was really great, well presented and even affordable. Overall a great experience - we will look forward to going back for Tapas. read more
