The aftermath.

We learned about this place through a friend/local chef/restaurant owner who happens to be from the same town in Guatemala as the owner. He said that they have "the best breakfast in all of Westchester" and so naturally we had to try it. He was right. This spot is absolutely delicious. We order the Desayuno Especial (Breakfast Special) which includes: two fried eggs with ranchero sauce, grilled chorizo, refried beans, fresh cream and cheese, ripe plantains and (HANDS DOWN THE BEST) handmade corn tortillas. (** ask for them a lil crispy**) Everything is cooked to perfection. Their is a perfect portion of each item, and together, each bite creates a symphony of flavors that keeps us speechless and "mmmmm"ing, totally focused on our plates the entire meal. Their Chicken Soup is like a silky, warm hug... a deeply nourishing flavor bomb (I am a total snob about Chicken soup in particular so, trust me on this one.) This is home cooking. You can TASTE the love in this food and we always leave feeling truly fed. This is our 5/6th time going and the owner Emilio recognized us and introduced himself-- super kind dude. We told him we usually get the same thing because it's so outstanding, so he recommended some other dishes that we will DEFINITELY be back for. As a Peekskill local, I am ecstatic that we found this place. Totally a hidden gem!

Friendly counter service, pastry was delicious. Can't wait to try their hot food. Was eyeballing there chicken soup which also looked bomb. Can't wait to go back

Carne Asada was amazing

This food was absolutely amazing. We stopped by Peekskill for dinner and it was a great place to eat something quick, delicious, authentic and affordable! They were also supper friendly and helpful when we had questions about the menu.

Horrible. Very inconsistent…read more Today was my 5th meal here and it will be my LAST. Today they had what they called chorizo, which was indeed in a sausage-like casing but instead of meat inside it was just leftover rice bound with pork fat. It was DISGUSTING....and completely unlike any chorizo I've ever had. I've had Peruvian, Ecuadorian, Colombian, Guatemalan and even Americanized versions -- but this was nothing like any of them....it was CRAP! I can't tell which culture they are supposed to be for certainty, but I doubt any culture would claim a food article that sickened all 4 people who tasted it, one only making it across the street before tossing cookies.... In the past they had empinadas which were usually VERY thin and lacking in terms of the filling (usually Queso)...however today they were out of them by 9:10 AM, with no plans to make more. The miscellaneous hot beverages on the counter opposite the cashier are nice, but I have no clue what they are and they certainly are not labeled.... Their selection of factory made (canned/bottled drinks in the fridge is good including Manzana and several other Latin drinks. In the past I've had good and bad experiences, but today was just so horrible they deserve to be put on blast... The inconsistency even goes so far as to be in the pricing! The green plantains served as a side on my plate with the "Chorizo" apparently added $3 to the cost of my plate, which were included every time before.... And now to add to the survey questions below: Ambiance - what ambiance? The place has a TV which is usually BLASTING-ly loud! It has rows of cafeteria style tables for seating -- and when the food wasn't nasty and the prices higher for no apparent reason -- it was good, but when it was bad it was pretty bad - this time was just ATROCIOUS!

Had a delicious plate of food and drink here after a solid hike. Nice option for anyone looking for…read moregood food with value for money.

You can tell they genuinely care about the experience, not just getting you in and out. Now the food... absolutely incredible. The quesadillas were perfectly crisp on the outside with a generous, flavorful filling inside. Every bite had that ideal balance of melted cheese and seasoned goodness. Easily some of the best I've had. The chicken Marsala was next level. The sauce was rich and savory with that smooth mushroom flavor, and the chicken was tender and cooked perfectly. It tasted fresh, homemade, and comforting -- like a dish you'd crave again the next day. And the drinks? Amazing. Well-balanced, strong but smooth, and beautifully presented. Whether you're going for something refreshing or something bold, they clearly know what they're doing behind the bar. Between the phenomenal food and outstanding service, this spot absolutely delivers. Definitely coming back -- and bringing friends with me next time. Highly recommend!

Hi, just ate here with my family…read more We had a lovely experience until the end when the bill came. There were happy hour cocktails listed on a menu that sat on every table. It being happy hour, my dad ordered two cocktails listed there. When the bill came we were charged full price for these. The catch on this menu: it is for "bar and lounge only." We were apparently in the restaurant, not the lounge. Why would they put the happy hour menu on the table where it's not available to be served, we asked ? We asked our server, who told us "I don't know anything about that, that's just what the owner does." She was apologetic only when pushed on it and offered for us to talk to the manager, Jennifer. "Hi, I heard you had something to say about the happy hour menu," Jennifer said as she came over. We explained that we thought it was unfair that these menus would sit on every table in the room where it's not allowed. The difference was $8 for the two cocktails. I asked if she would honor the price and she said she couldn't, because "you guys are the first people to ever say anything." Hopefully we are the last. See the picture of the menu. For $8 and an apology for the confusion she could have saved three customers. Food was really good. But we left with an awful taste in our mouths over this because no one would take the initiative to fix this problem.
