Stopped by for a quick dinner while in town, as this restaurant was thankfully still open and on my way to the hotel (everything in Phoenix apparently closes very early). I was surprised to find an AYCE option for roughly $31, which includes a drink. The AYCE options were pretty sufficient and included uni, a good selection of sashimi and sushi, as well as appetizers, rolls, and even hand rolls! The fish was very fresh and generously cut, and even the hand roll was filled generously. The great service took things over the top. I was checked on often, refills were quick, and I had a great meal. Saw a mix of diners, ranging from young couples on a date night to families to business travellers like myself. We went to Iron Chef for a belated Father's day lunch, and they did not disappoint. Cindy took care of us, and she hooked us up. The 6 of us did all you can eat sushi, so we made sure to get our money's worth. Cindy started bringing out copious amounts of rolls, nigiri, and sashimi, each one tasting as good as the next. My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary and we had an AMAZING experience! We just left the restaurant, and we were already thinking of coming back. We rate this 5/5! When we entered, we were greeted by the staff and we felt so welcomed. They were so nice, and I loved the two lovely ladies that served us. Everyone would check on us every now and then. First let's talk quality of service, it's horrible. The past 3 times we ate there, we had parts of our order that never arrived. In addition the staff doesn't check on you after your food arrives, so you literally need to either flag them down, or just settle for not getting your entire order. You have to ask for regular soy sauce, they only offer low sodium. The ambiance is very fast food, it's not a place you can come to enjoy your food because it's very rush to get you to eat and run. We ordered for delivery and it was all terrible.My husband ordered a meat dish but the sauce for it was gelatin textured, they didn't even warm up the sauce enough.My spider roll had lettuce in it which made it taste bad and spider rolls don't usually have lettuce.My salmon skin roll has skin that wasn't crispy at all and salmon skin rolls always have crispy skin, it was soft and chewy.It also had big chunks of meat and only a little sauce.The spider roll didn't have eel sauce on it either so it was lacking in flavor.Never again read more

I have never been so embarrassed by this restaurant. I arrived just before 6:30pm, I've never been here before so I thought I'd give it a try. It was quiet outside, so I asked if I can sit outside, they told me to choose any seat. I chose a two top table as it was just myself tonight. They turned on the heater as it was cold so it worked perfectly for me. I order my food, my server was nice, I got my Dr Pepper, and I ordered off the All You Can Eat menu. A little bit later I get my Sashimi as I got the tuna and salmon sashimi, and three pieces of salmon tuna. I'm mid eating my food, when a part of 5 walks up, and they want where I'm sitting. Now I'm not sure what made them think that it was okay to start MOVING my food to the next table over, but there were two 4 top tables that they could've moved, but no. Instead they embarrass me, move my food and plates and drink to the bigger 4 top table and they moved my two top to connect to a 4 top to fit 6, and they get the heater now. I was very disrespected tonight, the other table couldn't even look at me, or apologize for moving me to a completely different table. Instead they acted like they owned the place, or knew the owners which wouldn't surprise me. But I cannot believe the human decency was not there, and they did not treat me with the dignity I would've treated them with. The guy that moved me, brought me a Miso soup to try to warm me up is the only thing that I can guess. But a Miso soup?? Allez Cuisine! With an AYCE menu that includes drink, dessert, appetizers and even sashimi for around $30, even Chairman Kaga can't dispute the fact you can't go wrong with this Iron Chef! If you feel like having something other than sushi though, have no fear for they also have an a la carte menu that offers various Japanese and Chinese dishes so you can mix and match to see whose cuisine reigns supreme. I try to eat my weight in sushi at any AYCE place so naturally I went for the unlimited option. Note that if you order sashimi you are limited to 12 pieces per person. The types of sashimi they had included tuna, white tuna, salmon, smoked salmon, octopus, yellowtail, spicy scallop and masago. I tried a majority of the sashimi options and my favorites were both of the salmon varieties. The fresh salmon was rich and buttery, and the smoked was thickly cut and salty satisfying. As one of my friends said, "it's like eating fish ham." I'll take a fish ham over a porky one for Easter dinner please. If you are a fan of fried rolls, definitely get the volcano roll. They light the middle portion of the serving plate on fire! It's all the thrill of seeing a volcano but without the life threatening injuries and property damage! The flames actually imbue a smoky flavor to the rolls too so the fyerrrr acts as both entertainment and flavoring agent. Unfortunately, I did get a few bones in a spicy salmon hand roll. The rest of the sushi I had though was luckily boneless. They offer a kids menu here too with options such as katsu chicken, teriyaki chicken and orange chicken (Non spicy). We got the katsu chicken for the tiny tyke and it was a very generous portion of breaded chicken breast, rice, with a little Maraschino cherry and container of katsu sauce. No complaints from the toddler! While the quality is just decent for the sushi and sashimi for the price and beautiful presentations it can't be beat. There was a lot I still wanted to try but my stomach didn't have enough room. I think this just means I need to go here again! As for Covid precautions, they offer several nice tables on their shaded patio in front of the restaurant with comfy seating. All staff wear masks and there are plastic barriers in between tables for indoor seating. We sat outside and got friendly and frequent check-ins with the excellent server. read more

I decided to go because I called ahead of time and asked for All You Can Eat and they said they did offer it which I was excited about, BUT if you choose to do All You Can Eat you get a very very small portion of the menu they allow you to order from. With my experience when you do all you can eat places allow you to order majority of the menu and maybe pay extra if you want 100% of the menu. Finally had the opportunity to try this place the other day when I knew I was going to be in the area. On a whim, I decided to check if they had an online ordering service in place and they definitely did. Their website and ordering system is very easy to use and navigate. Also, I am not certain if they offer these deals or discounts when in placing orders over the phone, in person, or for dine-in, but there were various deals during the time I placed my order. The deal I took advantage of was 30% off all "chef's special rolls." So rolls that normally would cost $9-16 will range from $6.30-11.20. I tried the Samurai, Golden Dragon, Ninja, and Rainbow rolls. Arrived a few minutes earlier than the scheduled pick-up time and it was carried out to pick-up counter as I walked up to the register. The service was nice, they offered me a free fountain drink as my card was being ran. Once I arrived at my picnic spot and unpackaged the food, I was pleasantly surprised at how neat and tidy the food was organized. They included a ton of ginger, wasabi, utensils, and soy sauce. I really appreciated and their to-go soy sauce is already pre-packaged in to-go dipping containers so that it makes eating sushi on the go easier. Other places will offer soy sauce packets which is fine and dandy but it complicates the logistics of actually using it efficiently. Rainbow: 5/10 Overall, the Rainbow roll was decent, especially for the cost ($7 due to their deal) but nothing to write home about. Ninja: 6/10 I usually like jalapeño slices on top of certain rolls that are meant to be spicy. They also topped it with a nice dollop of sriracha. Overall, this roll served its purpose as the token spicy roll of the bunch. Samurai: 6/10 I am a sucker for sushi rolls that use soy paper instead of seaweed. I do not prefer all of my sushi rolls with soy paper, but appreciate it when it does. Fish content inside this roll was very fair. Golden Dragon: 7/10 I was skeptical because traditionally, I enjoy my Dragon roll (eel) how it usually, comes, classic. No fancy addition of any weird or unusual ingredient. But decided to try it "golden" which here, means they top it with mango as well as a mango sauce. I ended really enjoying this, was my favorite roll of the 4. Will likely come again if I happen to be the area, especially if online deals are offered! read more

We have visited Iron Chef a couple times now, and I think its safe to say that they may be on our frequent flier list of restaurants in the neighborhood! Love that we can order a couple maki rolls AND tofu/brocolli. The prices are very affordable and the portion are generous. We always leave with full bellies and left overs. There are plenty of vegan/vegetarian options to choose from. My SIL did order a meat dish that was undercooked, however they fixed it quickly and got it to her without issue. When walking in, the overall ambiance felt welcoming and the space was well designed.
