Worthy latte
Kalea O.

Another superrrr solid cafe in the IE!! Coffee is so so good, I got the worthy latte this time around and it was actually perfect. Flavor profile was great, espresso wasn't bitter or burnt like some places and it was still creamy even with almond milk. I haven't gotten a matcha from here in a while so I won't speak on that but the ones I saw other people got looked like a good shade of green! Weekends in the morning, the line gets pretty long so prepare for that, but afternoons and weekdays it's not quite as bad. Lots of tables inside and outside in the shared hall for studying or chatting with friends. Music was good too! Once I got up to the counter the baristas were super nice and efficient so your drink is ready by the time you pay! Their menu is super solid and they have really great flavor combos in their affirmation lattes. Price is comparable to most cafes now days- about $7ish for a drink depending on add ons and what not. Parking was easy, there's free street parking in the front or a parking garage that's a 2 min walk away.

My friend and I were craving coffee and matcha again and this was located at the Claremont village! Super cute area and seats to study though the line can get long when it's rush hours. I got the Graceful matcha latte again which had lavender and ube with vanilla! I would say it is on the sweeter side this time so adjust accordingly, overall, it was delish!

Over my years of being a cafe explorer, I've learned that if the line is out the door, then YOU GOTTA GO IN. Iron & Kin is THAT GIRL. Iron & Kin was recommended to my by a good friend, so I've had this spot on my "GOTTA TRY" list for months. Alas, the chance finally arose and I got to try it out two days in a row! The first time around, I tried the mango cold brew. I was skeptical at first at the combination of ingredients because I initially thought, "there's no way that mango and coffee can be a thing!". Well, apparently they can be! This beverage was well balanced between the cold brew, the cold foam, and the mango flavoring. The second time, I had gotten an iced matcha latte with a splash of vanilla and that was also delicious! Apparently, the must-haveitem is the iced latte, so I'll be sure to try this out next time and update my review accordingly. I imagine it's going to be OUTTA THIS WORLD! Also, the vibe and aesthetic of Iron & Kin is modern, sleek, and it's a great place to meet with a friend or to hop on your computer and do some remote work. I could definitely see myself coming here more frequently (whenever I'm in town) and setting up shop here. The staff are INCREDIBLY friendly, and althought they are busy, they still are attentive, helpful, and joyful to be in presence with. Iron & Kin is, in fact, a fantastic coffee & tea spot in the Claremont area! I highly recommend it to any folks that are in the area, looking for a yummy spot to stop at for an iced (or hot!) beveraggino.

Been here twice and it's a great study spot! Plenty of seating inside and outside. Always a line but it goes by super quick.

Their coffee is amazing. Easily one of the best coffee I have ever had. I've been coming here for years and have been trying more of the menu, there is not one thing that has disappointed me. My personal favorites are kind hearted and worthy !! The ambiance is amazing, it is a true coffee shop feeling. The people treat you with such kindness and make the effort to have a conversation. What is cool about this place is that you are part of the experience of getting your coffee made and this is where you can converse with the baristas or see how they make the coffee. They have music going loud enough to where it's not awkward and you can comfortably have a conversation. Also a perfect space to study because they have plenty of outlets. Do not let the line scare you !! It is worth it, I promise !! I will definitely continue to be going.

I came on a Thursday at about 11AM. The line was out the door but it took me about 20 minutes to make it to the front. I think overall they have a good process going and you get your drink by the time you ring up. There's a good amount of seating inside and it would be a decent place for study groups. They have a pretty set menu with their specialties being "affirmation lattes". I decided on getting a worthy latte (brown sugar, vanilla, figs, black pepper) but instead of coffee I asked if I could have it with matcha. They said they could do it but when I got the matcha it didn't seem to taste like it had all the notes listed. It's still an alright matcha latte but I just expected a little more. I will say their walnut chocolate chip cookie was really tasty though.

I am glad I stopped by Iron & Kin Coffee Co. It has a cozy and youthful vibes. It is located inside the Claremont Packing House on the left side toward the end. There is a parking structure next to it, but you can also park in the street. They offer unique coffee, various types of latte, seasonal drinks, tea, matcha. They also have pastries and light breakfast. They have plenty of indoor seating. You also can grab your drink and sit outside in the Atrium. The line was very long but it moved very fast. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The service was excellent. We ordered Strawberry Matcha. The matcha was authentic and creamy with delicate bitterness balanced with strawberries. I ordered mine with oat milk with for an additional one dollar. It's a nice coffee shop to stop by and enjoy a refreshing drink and an excellent customer service.

Cute coffee shop in Claremont. Definitely lots of seating if you want to be productive. The music is a little loud so if you can't focus with that, then reconsider staying here for long periods of time. There are some tables outside of the shop where it's a little quieter. The chai less sweet was creamy and pretty good. My husband got the graceful latte less sweet which has matcha and hints of lavender, ube and vanilla. It's the perfect summer drink. They use matcha from Japan so you know it's legit. Will definitely be back!

Iron & Kin is SO good. Everything we got was a 10/10. The vibe inside is super cute, it's definitely one of those places you could easily sit and yap for hours. The employees were also the sweetest. Everyone was so friendly and made us feel welcome from the second we walked in after run club. Definitely recommend!

We recently moved to Claremont and this has become our favorite coffee shop. The worthy with sweet cream is my favorite. The coffee is amazing and the service is 1000/10. We have been going almost daily now for a month and it is just so consistently great. The decor and interior is soooo nice and the place always looks clean despite the amount of traffic they get. The wait could be long but I promise you it is worth it!!

worthy latte
Bethany L.

the flavors are unique and definitely don't lack in depth. I've had chili/chipotle lattes that were grainy and odd tasting in the past so i was apprehensive, but my friend's "kind hearted" hot latte was amazing - chili kicked in at the end and was not overpowering, and neither was the cocoa (which normally is in a latte). my "worthy" (black pepper fig) was good but not as noteworthy, there was less fig flavor. however, staff was super friendly and the space was beautiful! prices are average for coffee, and line was consistently out the door the whole couple hours I was in the area.

Courageous latte
Mariana G.

This has definitely been said time and time again... but I gotta say, this coffee is life changing. These lattes are bold and full of flavor. There's no hesitation from any of the ingredients, as they all intertwine and create a delicious experience. To be fair, I've only tried the Courageous Latte, but I'd go back every day for it if this place were closer to me! The space itself is well thought out and lively, especially on weekends. The Saturdays I've stopped by, there has been a DJ playing upbeat music. Now be warned, there is a long wait. From other reviews, it seems like there isn't a day where they don't have a line, so be prepared to wait. But rest assured, the wait is worth it.

Worthy Latte with half & half extra sweet
Bry M.

Was finally able to try this spot! I was greeted very kindly after waiting in a semi long line and the workers were genuinely interested in what we were doing that day and being very kind. Since it was my first time, I ordered something on their menu, the worthy latte and I got mine extra sweet with half & half. I had told one of the workers that it was my birthday and they were so kind and gave me my drink on the house as well as put a candle and let it up for me. Thank you, Aron and Ken for making this such a wonderful experience on my birthday.

Iron & Kin Coffee Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Iron & Kin Coffee

Do they have an updated number? I number listed seems disconnected.

Do they accept cash?

Yes Cash and card

Do you provide online pick up services ( like grub hub, Postmates )?

They do not

Do they serve food?

They do serve a light food menu which is popular at breakfast!

Is this the correct address? I went this morning and ended up in some apartment complex.

You might be better off routing to "Claremont Packing House" or 532 W 1st St, Claremont, CA 91711. Iron + Kin is located inside.

Where is the outdoor seating located?

They don't have designated outdoor seatings just for them but if you exit the left side of the coffee place there are outdoor seatings attached to other restaurants and if they are not open yet. I have seen ppl sit in those areas.

I ordered the Vegan Gluten Free Pasta. The pasta arrived hot and in a timely manner. Napkin in my lap and utensils in hand--I took my first bite. I did not add any seasoning as I truly enjoyed the natural flavoring of the young vegetables. The carrots were mildly sweet, roasted pine nuts were earthy, cherry tomatoes, and sautéed in extra virgin olive oil. It was drizzled with vegan pesto, topped with fresh basil, and as mentioned earlier the pasta was gluten free. Overall, I truly enjoyed the experience and my meal. The city of Claremont is charming and every turn a surprise. I stand by my statement that this city has a way of collecting individuals-- as people who stop by end up staying. I warmly recommend this place and sit outside when the weather is nice. We only part to meet again! Cheerio Tips: Street parking "What you're not changing you're choosing."

I do wish they were a bit more affordable or had a senior menu but the food is prepared nicely and always taste delicious. My one negative gripe is the music it's just way too loud and not appropriate for people my age to want to stay and order more. I have spoke to friends of mine and we all agree the music is not appropriate for this style of restaurant even classical works but top 40 pop is a bit much and detracts from the French theme vibe. Some French Music would make this place a dream. Since it is a French themed restaurant. Or at least appears to be. But the contemporary music deflects away from the French vibe and atmosphere. So I give a thumbs down on the loud music ie. minus a star. However I feel changing the music only would add to the ambience and the vibe of the place, just my opinion. However, sadly due to the Music, I choose sit outside but when your my age with this heat being so awful it would be so nice to sit inside with the air-conditioner with nice refreshing music. I will cross my fingers it gets better as I would eat there every day. On the upside there is one lovely tall dark haired fair girl at the counter who looks very French and has a European vibe about her aura she just makes the place. She is so kind and welcoming. I have gone in very stressed a couple times and her demeanor is so calm and sweet she makes me feel welcome and appreciated and diffuses my stress level every time. Very few people nowadays have that kind of charm. She doesn't make me feel rushed or brushed off like most service people. I just adore her energy she has the best manners and eloquence of any waitress in Claremont. I'm always happy when I see she's working. I wish I could pronounce her name I think it's Bree or Bly or something like that. Also they definitely need name tags too. But the food is very good.

I looked around the patio area and realized there were two other tables whose patrons were there before us, waiting for drinks and service, just like we were. One of them was fanning herself with the menu, as it was close to 100° outside. (There are no misters on the patio, just a slight breeze now and then. And, if you sit near the patio entrance, you should know that the huge dryer vents from the adjacent hotel are pushing hot air into the patio.)
