Even though the part was fully covered under warranty, Alpine insisted we pay for the labor, $1,100 in refrigerant, and the $125 service fee. When I questioned the charges, they simply threw the warranty at me and pointed to the line saying refrigerant isn't covered -- as if that excused a failure that shouldn't have happened in the first place. Their original bill came to $1,750 for a problem that wasn't ours to begin with. Being charged for someone else's mistake just doesn't sit right with me. I asked multiple times for the service manager to call me so we could discuss the charges. He didn't call until two weeks after the repair was already completed. He claimed he had called several times, but after checking my call log, he had only called once -- and didn't leave a message. If you're looking for a company that stands behind their work and communicates honestly, you may want to look elsewhere.

Upon inspection, we could see water dripping down directly from one of the 2 pvc pipes going out the roof. They came back and we showed them pictures of the pipes in the attic where water was coming from. They went to the roof and didn't inspect the pipes in the attic as if they were purposely ignorant (listen to your customers folks..). 4 minutes later said the leak is fixed and left. Found water leaking at the same pipe but lowered near the furnace. I found one coupling fitting NOT even glued. Ok, honest mistake. I make them too. They came back the 2nd time and glued the fitting. Next morning, I discovered again a small pool of water on the garage floor. This time it was coming from the attic access panel, again.. I am reluctant to call this time and instead inspected and found another pvc elbow disconnected due to not anywhere near enough pvc glue. The ceiling is now water stained abd the drywall attic access is damaged from the water penetration. If you are the owner looking at this review, you may want to consider hiring employees who have better character and interest to preserve your business.
