So i have had great service with Priority one and the last few years. They have been keeping my heat-pump working pretty good, however my unit is under warranty and the service person always say i will get my part of the refund for parts from their office in 6 to 8 weeks well 4 yrs later i haven't got anything from them for 3 serve calls for the control box replacement and other parts. quite clever to let me wait because life happens and your happy the heat-pump works and kind of forget about the refund. Has anyone ever got a refund from them for a unit under warranty??? this review is strictly about the "value" part of there serve. the team i deal with are great and the serves is pretty good but WTF. why have the warranty at all if there s no refund to the person paying the bill. read more

Sometimes you just need to say "Thank You" We're going through our mail and accounts when we stumbled across a nice surprise! First off, Priority One had saved us a lot of money. They sent out a tech free of charge for a 2nd opinion. Then they did some repairs on an issue not of their doing, THEN we find out the other day that they ended up adjusting and crediting our bill without any prompting from us and without any self congratulating calls from them. We had Priority out to inspect an HVAC system on a house we were planning to buy. Tim did a good job diagnosing some issues and put together a bid for us. After we closed, we had him back out to perform the needed repairs. He was thorough and efficient and had us up and running again during the time frame specified. Some of the work will need to be scheduled later on because they have separate teams for certain repairs and that team was booked out. We signed up for their yearly maintenance plan, which gives a discount on any service and includes an AC and furnace maintenance each year. So far, so good. Their communication and service has been great. The cost isn't low, but what they offer for the value seems fair. We will be using their services again. read more

Absolutely Outrageous Rip-Off - Beware of Priority One HVAC If I could give Priority One HVAC zero stars, I would. I was charged an insane $2,411 by this company to replace a blower motor that costs only $329 retail online, exact same manufacturer and model number. The technician was at my house for just 39 minutes, yet Priority One somehow felt justified billing over two thousand dollars for a job that required minimal time and no special expertise. I went in person to their address and tried to get an explanation, they showed me an invoice for a motor that was $1092.00 but I couldn't tell if that was the motor they used at my place. This is blatant price gouging and totally unethical. Even if the motor did cost $1092.00 that still left them with $1392.00 for markup and labor. I understand companies need to make a profit, but this is robbery, plain and simple. Do yourself a favor--get multiple quotes and stay far away from this business unless you want to be taken advantage of. I regret not doing more research before letting them touch my system. Shame on them for preying on people in urgent situations. read more

Friendly and professional from the very start with the original phone call to inquire about switching our gas heater to a heat pump system. The inspector (Will) was courteous, friendly, and explained our options in layman's terminology. He was friendly with my dogs, and I felt good about the options he laid out. He maintained good communication towards the start of the project date, and updated me on the crew arrival and time. The crew they sent out were friendly, they liked my dogs, and were really good at showing my better half how to use our new system. They gave good suggestions on how to save on energy costs, and the best ways to keep things efficiently running. They give a five year service guarantee by THEM, not a third party contractor. We are very happy with our heat pump installation, and would definitely recommend them. 10/10 for everything! They were over $6000k cheaper any other company we talked to, and they used top of the line equipment in our house!!! My heat pump decided to die during the hottest days in May. I called many places for an appointment and had to wait a week or more for a service call. I reached out to Priority One, not only did they come out in a two day timeframe, I had an after hour appointment that was cheaper than the regular appointment I had scheduled that was 7 days out. They quickly fixed the issue and I was very pleased with their service. I also scheduled an estimate to replace my heat pump. Jason was very thorough and their estimate was the lowest one. They've followed up about scheduling and I've appreciated how thorough they are. I have been very pleased with the service I've received and their customer service. You would think the price you pay for their service would be at the bottom of the quote. It's not. The quote gives you a price that you "might" get if you qualify for certain tax breaks in the future. Completely misleading. Contacted them about this and they were completely unsympathetic. I was told that if I misunderstood the quote that was my problem and not theirs. Not sure why they offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee if they don't really care if the customer is misled by the wording of the quote. They even admitted that they have no idea if you will qualify for the listed tax breaks that they include on your quote. If you decide to use Priority One, expect to pay $1000's more than what they tell you you'll pay. read more

Really helped in a pinch during severe heat wave... I was at work for 3 straight days (24 hours shifts) with wife and kids and dogs suffering in the heat because our HVAC decided to act up. Want to edit to add that the answering service people were all very professional and nice. And Briar, who called me back, I'm sure had a very busy day. But still unhappy with this service. Priority One has been our regular service for preventive maintenance for our HVAC so naturally, when our AC stopped working this morning, I called them. I left a message with their answering service at 5am and got a message back from Dave at 6:30am that advised they had technicians working today and would call me back to get me on the schedule. I didn't hear anything for several hours so called the answering service again and they said they'd leave another message- I did this at least twice. I later saw a voicemail come in (it never rang and when the person called back later, the line was silent- no one was saying anything) that advised me to call the answering service number to get scheduled. But guess what? Answering service doesn't schedule, they only leave messages for the company. It was impossible to actually speak with someone who can actually schedule. When I finally did hear from someone later today, I was told they could be out Tuesday between 12-6. When Dave left the message this morning, it sounded like they'd come out today. I understand that we have a heat wave and that probably lots of folks are having issues but you need to be upfront with people then- don't give me the runaround with an answering service who can't do anything and has no information to share- Dave should have been clear about the timeframe today and the answering service should also be provided with real-time info, to save you and customers the hassle of multiple calls back and forth. I would have called another service if I knew you ultimately weren't going to come today. read more

My heat system went out on a Friday night. I needed someone after hours. My usual business that had installed the system and had done yearly maintenance could not get someone out until Monday. I went to the Courier website and found Priority One as a certified Courier repair shop. Called them and they were here in about an hour. Nick quickly figured out that the issue was in the breaker in the main electric panel. He helped me remove the breaker and advised me that I needed an electrician. read more

We've used Priority One since 2015 when we replaced our furnace and heat pump. The service has gradually gone downhill. They are not the cheapest game in town. We have a service contact that we pay for and they come out twice a year to service our units. It's hit and miss with technicians. Some do good, some phone it in. We had a scheduled appointment today from 10 - 12. I got a call yesterday and when she went to find out why we were called, they hung up on me. No call back. Come today they don't show up. We had rearranged several things to be here and they can't contact is to say we needed to reschedule? We got a lame excuse that they were busy, blah, blah, blah... 11 years and that's what we get?! It's one thing to reschedule, but to not worry about contacting us? We have email, text, call back? And then the reschedule after the fact is not until December. I'm just saying. read more

I used these folks to obtain an estimate to upgrade my HVAC system. It was an awkward experience. In hindsight, I believe it was awkward as we are an LGBT family, and they are not LGBT-friendly. This occasionally happens in Eugene. The initial person was the one we had the biggest awkwardness with. He said he had serviced our system in the past with previous owners when we first engaged them over the phone. It seemed he had a decent tenure with this company, or we were the owner. That same person came out they told us they could better estimate a replacement if we needed one only after we had them perform maintenance. Maintenence was a reasonable cost as a new home owner I thought that made sense. They sent a nice person out who conducted the maintenance. I can't say if they did a good job or not they didn't follow up with any recommendations. I requested a quote for replacing the HVAC, and they never responded. I followed up, and he said he would send one and never did. They didn't want our business. I don't typically have to beg to have someone take five figures of my money. It is strange since we actually have two HVACs in the house, and that could have been a decent business for them. I realized in thinking about it that other LGBT households may benefit from hearing about our experience. I read some of the reviews and saw read that they advertise on KPNW right-wing local media....then I put 2 and 2 together. Make sure you research where you spend your dollars! read more

We are extremely frustrated with Priority One. We bought our system from another dealer but when it broke down during a cold snap they couldn't respond for a week! Priority One, to their credit, came out the next day and repaired the problem. We happily paid for a service contract partly becuase they assured us their work was guaranteed and we'd never have to pay for a repair twice. That was November of 2022. Well, we experienced a total failure in December of of 2022... P1 sent out a tech the next day who was unable to identify the problem, which went away on its own and the system started working again. Skip forward to January and again, the system completely stopped. The next day, the tech told us the problem went away again but he thought he had it isolated to a particular circuit board. He said it was likely to happen again so he was going to order the circuit board as a precaution. Next failure was in February. A new P1 tech came out, determined the cause to be the circuit board identified previously, but a new one had not been ordered. We waited a week (during yet another cold spell!!) without our heat pump... and made yet another service appointment. When the new part arrived the tech installed it... and the system started working again. Fast forward to April and ANOTHER system failure. The P1 tech showed up the next day and determined that a second circuit board was NOW the problem. He ordered the $750 part and we waited another week for it to arrive... requiring yet another service call for installation. When the tech arrived and installed the second circuit board he told us the problem was now a THIRD circuit board requiring ANOTHER week+ to arrive during which time we had no heat. When the third circuit board arrived, a new P1 tech discovered the prior tech had thrown away a critical component attached to the 2nd circuit board so we now need to wait another week to ten days for the part to be ordered. We have transitioned from subfreezing weather without heat to highs nearing 100 degrees... without cooling... for over a week now. Summary: 1. six months without heat or cooling. 2. inept techs losing critical parts. 3. the guarantee to "never pay for the same repair twice" is complete BS because subsequent failures are always a new failure...even if their own failure to properly diagnose and repair is the base cause. 4. I'm embarrassed to admit I put up with this crap for this long. read more

We responded to one of their advertisements after we had moved into a home. The visit ended up being a really hard sell: they wanted to sell their maintenance program and they also wanted to do a whole bunch of work which seemed unnecessary to me. The salesperson or "technician" had this thing where he was like "oh you hear that sound? Is it kind of like a soft wheezing or an occasional blub blub sound? Well you definitely need to have this work done." They then went in to explain how much I would save by doing all the work if I got on their maintenance plan. The technician seemed offended that I only agreed to the tune-up that I had requested originally. But I should've known: they advertise on KPNW which boasts a listener base of people who listen to Rush Limbaugh and Lars Larson, i.e. people have a low resistance to carnival salesperson techniques. Even if the technician had been less of a salesperson I probably would've eventually took business elsewhere for this reason alone. read more

I have used James Heating and Conditioning for over 30 years for my needs with my central air.. but an incident happened in the hottest days of the summer that made me switch to Priority One. I have discovered, basically, Priority One charges about half the cost of replacing the evaporation part in my system that had gone completely out. Also something I have learned is that the people who answer the phone calls in both cases (James and Priority One) do not communicate very well with their techs in the field. Both of the businesses left me high and dry upon ordering the part and completion of the job. Both of the places made an appointment to install the part and neither of them followed up in actually showing up to those appointments. James quoted me $1500./ Priority one $835. Both said they would call when the parts came in. I was on the phone alot with Priority One to actually make it happen and I appreciate their efforts; both of them too little, too late. James' never did contact me until I complained on FB.. go figure. I will call the next one 'on the list' if I need future help. My project of cleaning the ducting system will reach out to #3 on that list. read more

I might change this review but it's not looking promising. We are repeat customers. AC not working. Called, received an appointment for 3 days later with a 3 hour window. 4 hours later, no tech. I called, was told that he had just been going to call and he'd be here in 15 minutes. 45 minutes later he came. Told us dire things about our issue and that a person would be out the following day to give us an estimate. Following day came. In the afternoon, received a call from the company that no one would be available to come and give us an estimate / bid for a week. So we now have an appointment for Thursday to receive an estimate. I can only imagine what the timeline will be like before the work actually gets done, if we were to contract with them. This spring when we went to use our A/C we realized some wires had not been reconnected and we now needed a new compressor ($2000 job).
