Our HVAC system was put in 11 years ago, and this was the first time we ever had the ducts & registers cleaned. 2 guys came out to do the work. We have 23 registers, 2 returns, and 2 bathroom fans. Both of the guys worked non-stop for 2.75 hours. The registers are all now squeaky clean (they were horribly coated in dust) & our house no longer smells musty/dusty whenever the air comes on. The cost for the service was $750. I have no idea if this is good or not. I have nothing to compare the price to, since I couldn't find anyone else in our area that does true duct cleaning. But I will say these 2 guys worked hard and did a stellar job. They even offered to put our new filter in for us (we supplied it) at no extra charge. read more

They came and cleaned all vents in house and also fixed our dryer vent which was dirty, and also unplugged under house. It was done quickly and efficiently. Later that night our furnace drip pan began to run everywhere. We were Able to collect the water in bucket. I called Advantage and explained my situation. Nate and Dan wrote back at 8:00am and said we will see you in a hour. Perfect. The flushed the line and saved me so much money over HVAC Company. They were quick and had it fixed in 10 minutes. No answer to our call. We called the next day, and again, no response. Yes, life happens. But not returning calls? That's not ok for a business. Nate is fantastic, I'm so glad we picked his company for our air duct cleaning. I called around for a few different quotes, including a quote from the Home Comfort who had originally installed the system, and Nate's quote was SIGNIFICANTLY lower (almost half of Home Comfort). Nate did a great job, and cleaned out our dryer vent as well while he was in the system, for free, since it was there anyway. I called and got an appointment. After no one showed up I called again and was told they made the appointment for 8pm by mistake. I got another appointment for another day and got a call that morning that their worker didn't show up. I was told the owner would come out to see if he could do the job himself but he never showed up either. I called and had to leave a message, I asked if they were going to send someone and didn't even get the courtesy of a return call. We had an appointment today for duct cleaning, they changed the appointment to today our initial appointment was last week. These guys never showed up or call to say they weren't ever coming. Husband called numerous times, Suzy reassured him they were coming. Looks like Suzy gave us the wrong information. We waited all day long that's the WHOLE day. We had our furniture pulled out waiting, by the way the that's WHOLE day. About 8pm we put are furniture back as they never even called to politely let us know they couldn't make it. There customer service is not important that's obvious. Unless you have hours to waste maybe you should call another company. I called ten different chimney cleaning services & was given prices between $160. & $259. The 259. had only 2.5 stars. I asked for a senior rate & about 8 places were extremely rude & did not have senior rates. I called Advantage Air Duct Cleaning & the lady (owner w/husband) who answered was extremely polite & helpful, and when I told her how much I had to pay, she said fine - made an appt. immediately within four days. The owner arrived w/an asst. with/in the 15 minute time scheduled and were extremely friendly & polite, neat & clean, very protective of the carpeting, completed the job in 45 min., removed all dust/particles of residue from chimney, wood stove & surrounding area on floor & back wall. This is the second time I have had advantage out to my home office and once again a great job. My oil furnace was plugged and Advantage had it up and running within an hour. he also cleaned my dryer vent and my clothes dry in half the time. I had a fire a few years ago that was caused by my dryer, so, I make sure to keep it cleaned at least once a year. His truck and system is state of the art. We got a pre-inspection before buying house---2 previous owners. Report showed 25' dryer vent taped with duct tape (bad!) with gobs of lint hanging down. (Was it a successful DIY? We wondered.) When doing "dog laundry", I always clean filter several times during cycle because of dog hair. 2 signs of clogged dryer vent---takes much longer (than usual) to dry contents and dryer gets very hot to touch.
