I needed two outdoor frost proof spigots replaced that were original to the house 63 years ago and I was nervous about it. Greg came out and handled it like the pro he is. Neither of them were easy and required special tools but it all worked out in the end. Very happy with the job and a fair price too. Thank you Greg read more

We had a wonderful experience with Petersen plumbing putting in a new water heater today. We had a water heater die and after more than a week of getting nowhere with American Home Shield and NW Sundance Plumbing, I just called Petersen and had a water heater installed just a couple of hours later. The techs were friendly, informative and clean. The process was quick, easy and professional. We'll use them again. read more

I called Peterson plumbing because others rated them highly. I told them that I had a minor job. I explained what needed to be done. I expected them to say they could come in six weeks or something similar between 8 am and 5 pm I was surprised when they said someone would be here in the morning at 9 am. They would call 15 minutes before arrival . Since I lived outside of the city limits, there will be a surcharge based on mileage. The next morning two persons arrived within minutes of the scheduled time . We walked through what needed to be done . I added on some work and read more

After talking to a rep from another plumbing company, I was sketchy about what was told to my husband and I. I called Peterson Plumbing to get another opinion. The had the needed part in stock, came out and installed it in one hour and had our water heater up and running in one hour. This is the most professional and honest plumbing company I have ever dealt with. The repairmen were the best. Thanks to Peterson for saving us thousands of dollars! Our repair was $210.00. read more

We had requested their service for a 3 year old water heater that had stopped working. They showed up when they said they would and the appointment process was straight forward. For their first visit they had reset the control panel on the water heater, told us if it occurs again the control panel would have to be replaced. It happened again requiring a second service visit to replace the control panel. After the replacement we started to see an F3 error message. This prompted a third visit at which time the technician told us if this message persists the water heater would need to be replaced. We were asked to call the manufacturer ourselves to replace the water heater under warranty. When we called the manufacturer we were told the F3 message means the control board was still in its factory setting. They walked us through a 3 minute programming which resolved the error. The water heater is finally working well. If this technician had simply programmed the control board on the second visit, we would not have needed a third visit at all. We were charged $180 for the third visit which was caused by the technician not programming the board. We have left 2 messages to speak to the manager regarding this over the last few weeks but we have not heard back. We are disappointed in their service. read more

All around easy to work with, reliable, and quick service. I needed a toilet installed and from first phone call on Tuesday, they had someone out to my place on Friday that removed the old one and seamlessly installed the new toilet. I didn't have to worry about hauling away the old one. Thank again! Super easy to work with and installer was great! read more

Our main sewer line was clogged. I called around 10 am, and Rian and Justin arrived by 12:30 pm. They quickly went to work and cleared the clog. They showed me via camera that the line was almost completely clear of debris (couldn't quite get some hard to reach tree roots) and recommended using root killer a couple of times per year to slow down the root invasions. Pricing was fair. read more

I called because my kitchen sink was clogged and they found a much bigger problem with my complicated setup and saved me from what would have become a water logged wall and foundation. Hard working and thorough, I appreciated them walking me through their findings and patiently explaining each component of my system. They did a beautiful job replacing some pipes under my sink as well. read more

Petersen Plumbing - Rotten threads from a slow, persistent drip that I didn't know about. The water was dripping behind my wall - Plumbing Near Me - Eugene, Oregon

Looking for a company that could do a maintenance check on our under the house sump pump. They were super responsive and friendly and could provide a service person immediately. Now plumbers are not cheap but I wouldn't want to be crawling under houses and encountering dead and alive critters so it is what it is. Sadly our pump was dead but they were able to replace it in the same visit and the price was very reasonable. Again, I appreciated the customer service and their ability to resolve the issue in a timely manner. read more

For the last 10 years we have used Peterson for our plumbing needs. I called and set up an appointment for them to replace a faucet and install a water filtration system in my kitchen. Time was set between 8am and 9am. I had to be done by 1 pm to leave for other appointments. Day of service rolls around 8, 9, then at 9:30 I call and was told well my guy had an emergency not sure when he'd be there but we'll call. BUT THEY DID NOT CALL TO SAY HE'D BE LATE TO BEGIN WITH!!!!!!! WOW!!! COMMON they should have IMMEDIATELY called me it was like oh well too bad and oh we will fit you in again in a week. Terrible customer service will never use again. Go with Baxters!! read more

Do not, I repeat, do not use Petersen if you want a fair deal and a good product. I had a sump pump that was still under warranty that they removed and destroyed without telling me. Then when I asked the owner about it he said it was my problem. I could have got a $200 sump pump repaired but Petersen made me buy theirs. There's plenty of plumbers in town that will give you a square deal. Do yourself a favor and avoid the hassle and duplicity of Petersen Plumbing. read more

You'd better hope their technician doesn't make a mistake that causes them to bill you for work not completed. This happened to us and Petersen Plumbing would not speak to us on the phone to resolve the issue. Instead, even after we called numerous times, they sent the bill to collections. Then we had a process server show up in front of our home on a Sunday morning yelling our names for everyone to hear. They were billing for work that was never done in the first place! And we had tried to resolve their mistake with them, but they wouldn't return our calls after the receptionist took several messages saying someone would look into the mistake. Now we've been embarrassed, harassed, and we are supposed to go to court to explain that Petersen Plumbing made a mistake and billed us for work they did not complete. $2000+ was the bill when they only did about $500! Have never had such a bad experience with a company! So upset. read more

Great professionals. I have used them two times. Always appreciated the advice shared.

Our kitchen sinks backed up about 1:30 on a Friday afternoon. I tried to fix the problem by filling both sinks with with hot water and opened the drain. No, that didn't work and now both sinks are full of water So, who do I call? Petersen Plumbing of course! Plumber Alex and helper Charles were here by 3:00 and cleaned out (rooted??) our drains all the way to the back of the house. Alex is very personable, professional and had everything done and working in under an hour. He cleaned the "floor" under the sink and put everything away before leaving. You would never even know he was here as everything looks so clean again. Thanks Petersen Plumbing and Alex and Charles. read more

Thank you Jack & Rachel for your professional, friendly, efficient service! You fixed my kitchen plumbing, installed a garbage disposal, and replaced a toilet. I hope that yelp keeps this up. I never have yelped in my life. I had to in this situation because I am so grateful for the job Petersen just did for me. I had a huge plumbing job that I kept putting off after the initial, very expensive bid I got. A week before Thanksgiving the clog from the washer finally clogged to the kitchen sink and I could no longer use it. I called the original plumber and they said the first week of December. I called a couple other plumbers and they all said the same thing. I was panicked and finally called Petersen. They got me on the books for less then a week away and before Thanksgiving! They arrived bright and early the day they were scheduled. Explained things to me a long the way, put my washer/ dryer back for me and it was less than my original bid. Seriously saved my life and my thanksgiving. Thanks Alex! read more

Jack came to house to perform my water line repair and with 2 minutes could see the only problem I had was that I was misled by the delivery/installation team that came to my home. Thank you Jack, I will certainly be calling you again if I have any further plumbing issues! read more

I had Petersen plumbing come out to my 50-year-old house to track down some leaks. I say leaks because there were a couple and it took three trips to find them all. Not only did they fix the issues, they took the time to explain what they did and next steps. I am very satisfied with their services. Thanks guys! read more

Great service. They came out the next day to fix a toilet that was running into the tank and a leaky faucet. Petersen Plumbing was so helpful with installing a new water heater. Matt and his assistant came in the morning and tried with several new parts to repair the old water heater. The Pilot kept going out. The owner of Petersen Plumbing came over soon after and also tried to fix it. It was decided a new water heater was needed. They were able to get one here that same afternoon and the three of them installed it. Very efficient and nice folks. Job well done. read more

Tried to charge me for a "drive time" charge from Eugene to VENETA. Competitors do not charge this, definitely one of those nickel and dime businesses. Luckily found another company that does not charge "drive time" fees. Ridiculous read more

I had the first appointment of the day, 8am. At 10am I called to say no one had shown up. The office acknowledged that someone should have called me but didn't and then said "He hasn't shown up for work yet and we don't know when he will come in. This has happened before with him. I can call when he shows up." It sounded like he is habitually late. So I made an appointment with another plumber. I did not want someone like that to be in charge of a multiple day job. read more

I tried another plumber for a pretty signifigant water leak (main line from meter to house) that was not responsive. I asked friends on Facebook for local recommendations and Peterson was the forgone conclusion from a variety of people. I called them Friday morning. Greg Petersen the owner came out late morning. I had to have the entire line replaced with specialized drilling equipment - it was done by the end of that day. I was so very happy with how quick they responded, the work they did ....and will happily recommend them! read more

GO WITH PETERSEN PLUMBING Simple dripping shower repair...they switched out gaskits/springs in 15 minutes. Both the senior plumber and apprentice knew exactly what this ball stem single lever shower system was and did the repair quickly. Both had old school manners and professionalism that one would hope for. PETERSEN PLUMBING was just over 1/2 of the quoted cost from Kevin Cohen Plumbing (of which I refused after technician appeared clueless about a simple repair. They sent out a technician and not even a real plumber. Was great to watch PETERSEN's senior plumber work w the apprentice. They made a great team!! Old school quality. read more

Same day service to fix a broken garbage disposal. Plumbers were fantastic - friendly, courteous (even asked what other jobs we may need done at my elderly mom's house) and very clean. They took their shoes off at the porch without being asked. I cant say enough positive things about them. I was visiting my mom in Eugene and wish I could find a plumber like him at home! Having had no luck finding a plumber that I could trust, I was very pleasantly surprised by Peterson Plumbing. They responded to my request for a quote within a couple of hours even though it was a Saturday. They quoted a fair price that ended up being very accurate. They were able to schedule me on the day I wanted in less than a week. Santiago arrived within the time range I was given. He was courteous, professional, and worked steadily, finishing the project (replacing two toilets) in less time than expected. He answered my questions patiently and explained my options clearly. He was awesome and even if I didn't much like the company, I would use them again just because of him. Very impressed, I now have a plumber I can trust!!! read more

Called several plumbers and all were busy. When I called Peterson they were also booked but put me on the list for next day. Really wanted to get it fixed that day so I called Roto-Rooter in Springfield. This was a waste of my time and money. Roto-rooter essentially tried to put a band-aid on it. Didn't work so they gave me a high priced quote to fix it all and left. Called Peterson Plumbing and spoke with Craig. He told me that he could come look at it to see what would be needed to fix the issue the next day. When he came out, he had several ideas and told me how I could save some money on the repair by doing the excavation of the line myself. Craig came out the next morning and within an hour & a half had the issue fixed. He also recommended replacing the line eventually but then told me how to save money on it. Overall: Hire these guys for your plumbing needs, they do good work, are fast and friendly and they arrived when they told me they would. read more

I've used Peterson plumbing for two separate occasions and both times the customer service was top notch. The employees were knowledgeable friendly.
