Our water stopped flowing at our house, so we called several local Florence establishments and couldn't get help. We called this company by mistake, since it came up with a search of Florence plumbers. They offered to send someone out right away to fix the problem. My husband had done some troubleshooting, and when he discussed it with Tanner, he was impressed that Tanner had a good understanding of what he had done, asked some good questions, and proposed a solution. Tanner was amazing. He went above and beyond to resolve our issues, including diving into the lake to pull the pump out. I can't say enough good things about Tanner, and he will be our first call the next time we have a problem. He specializes in heat pumps, if I remember correctly, and really did an amazing job. Also, he found that the place where the wiring from the house goes down to the lake, into a junction box, and then from there is wired into the pump line that goes from that junction box and into the lake. Those wires, where they were joined, were black and fried, which was done by a well-respected Florence company. The sleeve they used to join the wiring, rather than using a wire nut, did not protect the wiring. I had called this same Florence company when we initially had the problem. We needed a specific controller, and the lady who answered the phone said she didn't know if they had the controller and didn't know how to look for it. She also said they didn't sell parts. We were just trying to confirm who could help us and who couldn't, as far as having the part. She sounded like she was on drugs and every conversation with her was frustrating. All jobs done quickly, well, and by a very nice person, (Dustin). I have used PPR for several years now to fix all plumbing needs in my home. I have never been sorry for calling them. There is little worse than a clogged sewer line backing up your toilet and your shower. I called these folks based on their other ratings, but it still felt like a pig in a poke, so my fingers were crossed. From the first contact, everything went well. From an end of the day call, I got a next-day 12-2pm call window. Yay!! Then, the day off, they called to say they could come early if I wanted - oh yes, please!!! Here before 11, clean, kind, and professional, the job was done before 11 am - and that included time spent answering my many questions and satisfying my curiosity. I'm always afraid of unexpected costs, but the final price was EXCEEDINGLY reasonable and right within what the suggested it might cost (actually, it was at the very bottom). Disappointed that I paid to have Pacific Plumbing & Rooter, Inc come to my home to snake my cleanout to unclog my sewer pipes that had backed up into my yard. I explained to them before they came that from previous experience I learned that it is about 60ft to the main city sewer line thinking that this would be helpful for them to know and what equipment would be necessary to do a complete and thorough cleaning of the pipes. The fellow came bye the house and was done in less than 20 mins. Long story short, the fellow said the snake went in the clean out and down the pipe about 10ft and found the clog and he retrieved a wad of what he claimed was baby wipes, but he didn't attempt to show anyone the wad he described, and didn't care when he was told that no one in the house used baby wipes and knew better if they did not to flush them. So, since the pipes emptied after removing the wad, he ran water (my water) from the house through the pipe for a few minutes and it didn't back up so he just called it good. He explained on the paperwork that because he found "baby wipes" as causing the clog he could not guaranty his work if it clogged again. As I suspected, it continued to drain for three days and then has now backed up again. He did not snake it the entire 60ft I knew it needed to clear and clean out properly to the city sewer lines. When I called to tell their office about it, they said that they would have someone come back out to clean it again but, because their previous work could not be guaranteed they would have to charge me again to do it. I declined and will look for and pay a more competent professional company to do the work that this outfit wanted and tried to get paid twice to likely not complete again due to an excuse about another clog they find they can't guarantee?? The guy who came to our house did a great job for 1/3 the price of another plumber I got a quote from. So impressed with his knowledge and work. I had multiple things I was asking about. Replace pressure control valve, replace water heater, solve issues of getting water to the sink faster than a few minutes. Supply enough water to fill a jacuzzi tub without running out of water. No one ever wants to contact a plumber, especially when the problem exists in the toilet and has backed up in to the shower and the tub and the other toilet. WTF is happening? So first you try all the DIY methods, nothing works ... and it appears to be getting worse so you swallow your pride and call a plumber. The first one puts you thru the great phone tree divide, you finally end up with an answering machine - HELLO, this isn't a service you schedule weeks out if you know what I mean. So, I Google plumbers; up pops Pacific Plumbing & Rooter, they had great reviews and I'm kinda desperate if you know what I mean!! I call thinking I'm going to get another phone tree that leads me to an answering machine, but no - an extremely friendly & professional woman answers - I muster up the courage to tell her what's going on & that I'm emotionally scared just having to call ... she's very reassuring, telling me I'm not the first & I most certainly won't be the last. Well, she puts me on hold and comes back and says that Rian should be able to be here between 45 minutes to an hour. I'm dumbfounded and at a loss for words as I honestly thought it would be tomorrow at the earliest. Rian shows up about 45 minutes later, such a nice young man; I suddenly don't feel like such an idiot as I guess it's been happening a lot since Covid hit. He's so kind, I honestly got over my embarrassment and realized, yes - we all poop and sometimes that poop gets backed up. Thankfully, most of what he does is outside and all of the sudden I hear the most glorious sound of water flowing down the drain ... hallelujah, the drain pipes are draining again!! He goes the extra mile & makes sure everything is working correctly and in the process rinses away all the disgust that had been floating in my tub & shower basin. He shares some great tips on how to keep things flowing properly ... USE THAT HOT WATER!! Bottom line (yes, I see that) is, if you need a plumber that will answer the phone when you call, not make you feel worse than you already do, will respond faster than the speed of light, treat you with kindness, do a superior job and not charge you more than an arm & a leg, call them!! I've had to call a plumber once or twice over the years, never for a toilet clog issue, but I can assure you - I will never call anyone else after working with Pacific Plumbing & Rooter. After my favorite plumber retired I started to ask around for a good, honest plumber in Eugene. I had a couple of bad experiences before I tried Pacific Plumbing. I now have my new favorite plumber. I don't need a plumber often, but when I do, I really need one right away. Today I just had a simple kitchen drain clog, and PPR were great start to finish. They answered the phone kindly and were able to get me on the schedule this afternoon. I was immediately impressed with the plumber they sent, Rian Kadrmas. Rian called 15 minutes in advance, told me he was on his way, and arrived an the nose 15 minutes later. He came to the door with tools in hand. His equipment was clean and well maintained and he lifted the rooter over my carpet so as not to scuff. He was very professional and had the clog solved very quickly. He ran the sink to clear debris, and cleaned up beautifully. Absolutely no mess left behind. I feel very good about Pacific Plumbing as represented by the person scheduling calls and by Rian the plumber. My impression is that this is a professional, trustworthy and effective outfit.
