OK, used to use and recommend this company for hvac work. Had a brand new furnace and heat pump put in mama's house. Now that they have moved into a big new building and sponsored a big pink transit bus they need lots more income to finance all this stuff. Now when they come out to do routine maintenance the try to up sell different parts and service. Everything seems to be in $500.00 increments. The last time they came out for our prepaid service contract where they usually replace the filter, now want extra for the filter they have always replaced when servicing. The technician also tried to sell us a surge protector for the heat pump and forgot to turn the breaker back on after checking. I am not happy with their need to produce more revenue at the expense of the consumer that has used them before they became big time players. I have more to the story but have to look for another hvac contractor for my brothers house. Sorry folks but you get no more money from me. read more

I was quite surprised when I read the negative reviews. I have been a customer for over 8 years using Priority One for service of my system. This year I had to replace the system so I did my research and received quotes from 3 companies. I decided to go with Priority One even though they were not the cheapest, they were right in the middle. I am extremely happy with the whole process. I would definitely recommend them to others. Generally very good service and competent techs--no problem there. However, they're the first business I've run into that charges an extra 7.5% if one pays upfront in cash for a one-year service contract--they're pretty adamant about auto-pay, which, as a rule, I tend to stay away from. Sort of an anti-cash discount? Wacky! They'd charge me more if I paid with a handful of Jacksons than with some installment plan. Wow! I couldn't believe the negative reviews. I previously used a company that told me they couldn't come out for several days when my heat went out. This was in spite of my having a maintenance contract. I changed to Priority One. I had them install a new system. The only time I had a problem they came out at 10pm on a Sunday night when our A/C wasn't cooling enough. Service has been excellent. So has our heat and A/C. read more

We realized our heating was not working this morning. I called Priority One and a very nice woman answered the phone and told me a technician would come today between 3:00-5:00pm. Adrian called at 3:15pm and said he would be at our home in 5 minutes. Adrian found the problem very quickly, fixed the issue and our heat was back on. What ever you do, don't use Priority Heating! Don't fall for their $55.00 fee to come out and give you an estimate. We had a Reversing Value fail on our heat pump. They charged us $1350.00 for the repair and that was under warranty. They charged $500.00 for 1.75 hours for labor. When I complained about the hourly rate he said he had to order the part and pick it up, so that is why the labor was so expensive. I asked the technician to have Mark, the owner, call me to discuss the bill, but I didn't ever hear from him. They did not give me a written estimate before they did the work.They were very vague about the cost. I had used Priority Heating in the past, but not anymore. No phone call back when promised from techs. No tech ever came out by a 6 pm appt. Finally got a call from tech at 7 pm, saying he would call my asst manager on site. Asst manager never got a call. Had to call back the next morning at 11 am when nobody had attempted to reach out. Then I was told they couldn't get a tech on site for 2 more days, lol. Last I checked I was first in line, so how I was bumped out 2 days I have no idea. You were the recommendation from a big GC in town. Let him know what happened too. That's just bad CS. read more

Worse customer experience ever! They asked me to send them a check to start service, in which I did. They cashed my check, and never called me to schedule a service. I then called and scheduled a service & put it on the calendar. They never showed up. I have now been trying for over two weeks to get a refund! It's insulting. read more

Priority One installed a water heater for us back in 2014. I thought their price was a bit high, but their staff were pleasant and I continued to patron them for various HVAC maintenance needs. Recently our water heater started leaking, and I called in the early morning (Wed.) asking about its warranty and getting a tech to come out. The representative confirmed the date of the purchase and install from their records and said a tech would call me, which didn't happen. I called again at mid-day, but this time a different representative couldn't find any record of the purchase and said she'd look into it and call me back, which didn't happen. I called the next day (Thurs.) and spoke with Janna, who said she'd follow up and figure out what was going on. She called back later saying they were trying to get a tech scheduled late that afternoon. Later she called saying that it looked like the tech may not complete the current job until later, so Janna booked the first appointment the next day for us just to be safe. The next day (Fri.) a tech showed up, confirmed the leak was inside the tank and that the tank was under warranty, but not labor. He advised me to consider turning the hot water off because the tank could crack altogether and that by judging their call-load, he said they could probably replace it Mon or Tuesday of the following week. I contact the service manager, John, asking if this could be escalated, because if a tech had made it out Wed. or Thursday, we might not have needed to wait until the following week, and that I had 2 kids with soccer practice and games this weekend, so we needed hot water. John was fantastic in my opinion; He was honest saying that they were short staffed and stretched thin, but acknowledged this was important. He didn't promise anything except that he'd get with the staff, figure out what the manufacturer needs regarding exchanging it, etc. and come up with a plan of action. He called back a short while later and indicated they'd have someone come and collect the tank that day and replace it in the morning. I indicated that was fine. However, I don't think John was satisfied with that. John continued to try and figure out a better solution and arranged for a tech to come in on their day off just to help exchange the old unit and install the new one. So instead of waiting until the next day, they actually got it installed the same day. On top of that, I believe they were a little generous regarding the labor they charged. When everything was done, John asked me to walk through my experience from the beginning so he could identify training opportunities to improve the experience for other customers. I was a little frustrated the first couple of days regarding no call backs, not being able to find records, etc. I was ready to contact a competitor who'd been recommended to me. But John's response was top notch and has earned my continued loyalty. I highly recommend others try Priority One out. read more

They are incompetent. We ordered (and prepaid for) filters for our heating system and twice they ordered from the supplier the wrong size. Worse, they didn't contact us. They claimed to have tried reaching us by phone, which we did not find credible, since they have our contact information, and they didn't leave a message. These people should be in jail instead of business! My realitor scheduled a inspection of my geothermal heat pump. These morons came out and said I needed $10.000 worth of work but they could replace the unit for $8000. The first time I talked with the owner I was given a big list of LIES. I hired Comfort Flow to do an inspection, The tech spent 2 hours going over my unit. My unit was working perfectly. My realator Dan Beebe is friends with the owner. Both Bebee and priority 1 came up with a new set of lies. If a guy named Nick comes to your house LOCK THE DOORS. It was the boldest scam anyone has tried to do to me $10,000 WOW. I asked a friend (who use to be in the heating and air conditioning business) to recommend someone to come out and fix my heat pump. He recommended Priority One and I couldn't have been more please with their work and professionalism. Nick (the technician) was courteous and very knowledgeable. Nick said he would be out between noon and 2pm and he arrived at 12:15. After a complete diagnostic evaluation he wrote up a work invoice and answered all of my questions. When he returned to do the work there were no additional charges. And even put in an extra sensor and heat pump pad at no additional charge. It wasn't until the next day that I realized he even fixed the hinge of my fence gate (which had been broken all summer). I highly recommend Priority One. read more

Overall, I have been fairly satisfied with Priority One in the Eugene area. They are friendly and professional. The technicians are knowledgeable and work hard with consideration of being in your house. My frustration is with the communication between the on-site staff and scheduling. When scheduling my install, every inspector I had on my property commented that it was a 1.5 day project, yet when scheduling the scheduler refused to schedule more than 1 day install. So, there I sat pregnant in 100 degree heat with my children after the scheduled day with a incomplete install because they didn't finish. The technician did an excellent job trying to work out a solution and did get the install done within 1 week. A year later, my system had trouble again. Again, the technician was quick and willing to come diagnose, then promised an install of the new part within a few days. I was contacted by the scheduler and am set up for an install 3 weeks later than I was quoted. This lack of communication has been extremely frustrating. read more

I would definitely not recommended these guys.. they charged me twice for the same work because they came to do a tune up, nothing was wrong, just trying to maintain my system, but he didn't tell me until he was almost done with his ten minute tune up, that they did the same work 2 months ago during a diagnostic call when I was out of heat. I asked why he didn't tell me that first so i wouldn't be wasting money for work that had already been done, he said to call the manager. The manager was pretty rude, no sorry, no empathy, nothing like that, but just argued about it, said he'd call me back, but never did. Way over priced, no integrity and poor customer relations. Bad customer service. They came out to look at my problem, then said they would another $55 (on top of the first $55 charged for the diagnosis) to get back to me with a quote (after paying $55 up front, they know you'll pay more to justify the first charge). Then when I got the repair quote (with just a couple words on it and a number) I wanted it explained further, but nobody would call me back for over a week. I asked for a refund, and they refunded only the 2nd $55 (not the diagnostic charge). Can't recommend a company with such bad customer service. They need to rethink their service model, as those of us with any intelligence are likely to feel insulted. read more

I'm totally shocked at the negative reviews... I've been a customer of theirs for 4 years and have been extremely happy with the services I've received. I pay a nominal monthly fee and twice a year, they come and perform maintenance on my home heating/cooling systems. They are always prompt, courteous and have always done a great job. If I do need anything such as new parts or whatever, I get a discount as part of the monthly fee I pay. It's awesome. I highly recommend Nick for the services... he's great at what he does and always has a smile on his face... even when he has to go up into my spider infested attic. read more

We had Priority One sent out by our home warranty company, and the experience was terrible. They came out to inspect/repair our heating in early March. When they arrived we had about 2-3 inches of standing water under the house due to a very wet winter. They refused to look at any of the damage until the ground was completely dry. The service tech that came out was nice each time, but response times after the visits were very slow. When they initially came out they had run out of paperwork in their truck so they were going to mail the paperwork once they returned to the office. It took many phone calls and several weeks before they finally sent out the paperwork. When the ground finally dried they came back out again to inspect the damage. It was determined that there was a disconnect in the trunk line to our heater and we had basically been heating the underside of the house all winter. After the visit we were told by the service tech that they had been pre-approved for a certain amount of repair, but that it was going to require more ducting than he had anticipated. He left stating that they would be reporting back to our warranty company and getting approval to do the modified repairs. After several more days of follow ups to inquire about the status of the repairs, Priority One finally contacted me and told me that the claim had now been denied and that they would be fighting the warranty company to do the repair. The following day I received a call from my warranty company stating that the repairs were being denied because Priority One reported to them that the damage was caused by flooding (Again, the water under the house was 2-3 inches deep, and the ducting under the house hangs 12-18 inches off of the ground. I had repeatedly pointed this out to the service tech on each visit.). During the conversation with the warranty company I was told that the first time they had been contacted by Priority One regarding repairs (after the initial visit ) was shortly before they had called me, and that there had never been any pre-approved repairs for our ducting. We would never recommend this company to anyone. Their dealing with us felt duplicitous and stalled. read more

After getting quotes from 3 different contractors, I chose Priority One because of their thoroughness doing the estimate and their price. Dave English, the estimator, spent more than twice the time going through my home than the other 2 estimators and was incredibly informative and very professional. Since I was thinking of going from electric to gas, I had lots of questions which were answered fully and with no rush or pressure. When I decided to go with Priority One, the office staff could not have been more accommodating or friendly in setting up appointments and explaining policy. Tim and his crew showed up on time to do the installation and they were marvelous. I really believe that they went beyond my expectations and I'm thrilled with the work that they did and how incredibly friendly they were. Our guy called a half hour before he arrived to let me know he was coming, and arrived when he said he would. He could have raked us over the coals and make it to where we had to spend all this money to fix our AC, but he showed us there wasn't anything wrong, we just had 2 wires that were too close together and was causing all the problems. We were only charged 75.00 for the service call, even though we were expecting it to be in the hundreds. We were very happy with our service and would recommend them to everyone read more

I have had Priority One service my old heater unit for 11 years and about 7 years ago I had them replaced it with a new energy efficient gas heating unit. I have it serviced almost every year and all has been fine. But, last week I had to call them to come out as the auxillary condensation pump wasn't working properly. After less than 15 minutes the technician informed me the pump was working fine now and the problem was some build up of algea.....that cost me $75.00. I had to call them a few days later as the pump was spraying water out of the side but was still pumping the rest of the water fine. When the technician arrived he said there was a small crack and I would have to replace the pump. He want $350.00 to replace the small auxillary pump. I called the office and told them this was outrageous and eventually they agreed to do it for their cost which would be $150. I had already looked on line and could order the EXACT same pump for $36.00. I had him put back in the old pump and my new $36. pump arrives in 3 days and it is just a matter of connecting a drain and plugging it in. Fortunately my common sense for what something should cost prevailed and I didn't pay them their outrageous fee. read more

Since buying a home and moving to Eugene, Oregon, I'm happy to say Priority 1 has been our only Heating and Air Conditioning Team. Luckily the previous owners left their info on the furnace and heat pump for us, which turned out to be Priority 1. Had to phone today with no heat and Sherry sent a team this afternoon. Yes, Nick and Rudy showed up to find out the problem for no heat and perform my bi-annual maintenance service. Both fellas are very professional, courteous and explain all information on our units. Nick had been to our home once before, for a minor problem... explained about the heat pumps "duties", even helped program the thermostat! He left without even charging us ! I've since nicknamed him St.Nick, as he always assesses the situation, solves the problem and handles all with much welcomed professionalism. Truly an asset to Priority 1. Rudy is a great right hand to have on your team as well. Not that I look forward to seeing PRIORITY ONE'S van pull up, but I do know our Heating and Air Conditioning is in good hands when it does. read more

I Have so much respect for these guys from priority one heating, I called them because my heat pump went out and I had been freezing since Sunday They Immediately Responded to my call and Not to mention it has been some horrible rainy wet days And The man who came to help me, His Name was Tim, He did outstanding work and crawled under my home even came out soaking wet and muddy and he still had a great attitude that put me in a different mood after being stressed, My husband died and i am a widow so it is hard for me to get around to doing those kinds of projects around the house, i had no idea what to look for. and priority one did, They did an amazing job. I Am now set up and have A very warm house. Mark Who Was there to assist in the beginning set his men up with everything they were going to need to get this done. I Couldn't ever go to another company after the quick and wonderful job they did. Their services are great and They do fantastic work for the price.
