These folks do carpet well, but I would not trust them with my couch again. Not only did they NOT get it clean, whatever they did left the cushions wrinkled, badly mussed and still dirty. Since I live alone, no pets, no other source of dirt except whatever might be on the backs of my pants - I keep the tops of the cushions covered with a sofa blanket so no food stains at all - this was not the kind of seriously ingrained dirt that you'd expect to be an issue. Given that my carpet is a very light grey, that dirt is really obvious. Very poor job on this aspect of their work. This is their second time to my house. They do a perfectly serviceable job with the carpet but the sofa was left in worse shape than before. They need to stick with what they know best and that's carpet. To that, they always get the stains out and the carpet always looks much better. I wish I hadn't trusted them with my sofa, as now the cushions look awful. read more

Throughout the years, I have used Stanley Steemer to clean my carpets. My last two previous cleanings. I had a technician that I was uncomfortable with being in my Home so I had requested that they not send that technician out in the future. when I had scheduled the cleaning after that, I had specifically reminded them not to send that specific technician out and to my unpleasant surprise they sent him anyways. Moving forward, my most recent cleaning of two bedrooms and one area rug. The bedrooms specifically were being cleaned to remove it pet odor with the guarantee that I would not smell the odor. The rug that I asked to be cleaned wasn't going to be an easy job because it is a very thick rug. When they were getting ready to leave, I had notice that half of the rug still looked extremely dirty with noticeable spots missed in the corner. So I had asked them to go over those areas before they have left. I was told that once the rug dried it wouldn't look as dirty I knew right away that that wasn't going to be the case because upon inspection it was very clear that there was a lot of dirt at the base . After having them come back a second time to redo the rug and the bedrooms, because the pet odor has not dissipated I was told that the rug was "as good as it going to get " As of today, 2 days after second cleaning my rug smells like mold and my bedroom carpets aren't cleaned to my satisfaction. I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the cleaning so I felt it was fair to get a refund. After speaking with "Jay" I didn't feel I could have a mature and professional conversation because of how argumentative and neurotic he came across. He was extremely rude making comments that quote "we've had problems with you before" he was referring to my request to not have a technician coming to my home that I was uncomfortable with. It is a very inappropriate and unprofessional to neglect the request of a customer's comfortability with a technician. I got this sectional couch second hand recently and there was a weird smell to it sometimes, so I wanted it professionally cleaned. The technicians and customer service lady were nice, and I was not charged additional for the ottoman which was nice, but I did not see or smell a difference at all. Also, as shown in the picture, they did not vacuum all the way. I felt this was a wasted $268 to "clean and deodorize". read more

If you do not keep an eye on them, they rush through the process. Then it looks good on the outside, but its not until after they leave, that you realize that the "inside", all the hidden areas- the nooks and crannies, were overlooked. Yes, they'll come back to fix it, but why should we have to go through that? And, to top it off, they're in an even greater hurry to leave the second time around. Came out, price quoted was 150 over the estimate on the phone. I gave square footage on the phone, "T" said they don't work by footage they work by area... he meant rooms. Questioned my honesty, was rude, leaves us with a moving van coming and a dirty carpet. This is no way to run a business. I will be contacting BBB and have contacted SS corporate. read more

Warning. Stanley steemer will mismeasure your square footage in order to charge you more and provide you with less service. They didn't clean under or behind some furniture. I was overcharged for a large room that they claimed was way over their 300 ft² 1 room rule. It is 293 ft² and when called out on it I was given a full refund because they were caught red handed. They used to be awesome but something has changed. The last few visits from them have been below par service and this last one just sucked. On top of it all the owner was just rude on the phone. He yelled, used profanity, and was very unprofessional. I'm still blown away by some of the bs he said. 0 stars. read more

Had all the carpets throughout my house cleaned. They arrived within 15 minutes at the beginning of the 3hr window. They were very efficient, professional and friendly. Got the job finished in about one hour. They also informed me of other services they offer (wood floor, furniture, as well as tile, showers too). I also purchased a recommended spot cleaner. The carpet looks amazing. No weird odor-masking smells. It took about a day to dry. I'm 100% happy with their service and will definitely call them the next time I need my carpets cleaned. read more

We had them out today to clean our carpets. They did a good job on the cleaning but their prices and the area they clean are awful. We have a small living room and a very small hallway and were informed that they wanted an extra $50 to clean a six foot section of hall that is part of the living room. They didn't have to move one piece of furniture and they would Not clean a small 6 foot section. Ridiculous to pay $137 for one small room and then have them refuse to clean that small section. You are getting taken advantage of if you use this company!! read more

They do a good job, however, I live in an apartment and they don't have fans to help dry the carpet. I left items off the carpet. Adjusted the heat, 6 weeks later and the humidity in my apartment is still horrid. I'm having to purchase a dehumidifier. read more

Very disappointed, they wanted to nickel and dime me for everything. Even tried to sell me a welcome matt for front door. Cost almost $400 for cleaning and sealing 3 rooms of hardwood floor. Wanted to charge an additional $40 to do a large closet. This was an empty house, no furniture moving, I would think I'd get a break on a closet. 1.5 hours for $400 what a rip-off, should have rented a floor cleaner at Home Depot and did it myself. Definitely will next time. There were some stains I felt should be professionally dealt with, you guessed it they wanted to charge more for them. The floors looked very nice right after they finished while they were still wet. They were so very proud of themselves pointing that out. Once they dried however they looked the same to me as they did before. Never again. read more
