He showed up at our house and spent less than 15 minutes walking around our house and talking to my husband. Then he said he had an idea on what to fix and would send us a quote. NEVER did he test our system or look at the wiring. He didn't even bother to check and see if it was PLUGGED in!! He sends us an estimate for almost $1200. When my husband asked about the estimate, he said we could not do some of the things recommended to bring down the price. Really? I thought the point was you would send us what would fix it. I would NOT recommend this company. I do NOT think he was professional. This was him completely taking advantage and taking money while doing absolutely nothing and then trying to upsell to try and make even more. I stopped in to have a electrical testing device fixed since I just didn't wanna throw it away and…read morebuy another one like most people do. It was a SunPro multi tester, it wouldn't work even though I put a fresh 9 V battery in it. It had a rattle inside of it and I'm not an electronics guy so I thought it prudent to let the professionals take a look at it and fix it. The gentleman who greeted me was very nice, warm, talkative, and quite agreeable to taking a look at my Sunpro multi tester device and attempting to fix it. He walked into the back after taking it apart did something brought it back and said it was working!!. (It was). As I started to leave it still had the rattle and when I turned around to ask the gentleman about it he said don't worry it's nothing that's gonna short out the circuit board. I remonstrated a bit and said are you sure? And he assured me everything was OK. Well I am Asperger autistic and OCD. When I got home I took it apart removing the circuit board to discover the main fuse just floating around underneath the circuit board, a metal-cladded fuse. Something that certainly and Dustin and potentially Will short out a circuit board. It was a physically oversized fuse meaning that it had been replaced at one time.... I wanted to take it back to him and just let him know that the rattle was indeed a concern that should've been looked at and I wanted to do so even if it been paying to have the job done properly with the right size (physical size that is) fuse. But I'm in my 60s and I'm a bit black-pilled with what I think on my reasonable expectations for people to do a thorough and adequate top-notch job anymore these days. /sigh

After doing my own research, I decided that it would be best if I send in to a 'professional' to get it replaced and have the set up done. Once I got it back, everything ran considerably slower - The boot times went from a couple of seconds to 5+ minutes. I had to do my own research to discover that when they put in the new SSD, that was all they did. When they set up the new OS on my computer, they did not even bother to initialize the new SSD. That means that my computer was completely unaware that my SSD even existed. So for about 1.5 weeks, my computer has been running everything on the HDD, which even the most clueless of computer owners know is not right. It took me 30 seconds of googling to discover the proper procedure to follow in order to actually repair the issue from start to finish, and these guys managed to take about 2 weeks to do it, and they did it wrong. Find somewhere else to get your expensive electronics fixed, because these guys do not know what they are doing. Also the place reeked of sewage.
