I sent in my desktop computer because the RAM recently failed a boot cycle, which fried the SSD to the point that it could not have been repaired. After doing my own research, I decided that it would be best if I send in to a 'professional' to get it replaced and have the set up done. Once I got it back, everything ran considerably slower - The boot times went from a couple of seconds to 5+ minutes. I had to do my own research to discover that when they put in the new SSD, that was all they did. When they set up the new OS on my computer, they did not even bother to initialize the new SSD. That means that my computer was completely unaware that my SSD even existed. So for about 1.5 weeks, my computer has been running everything on the HDD, which even the most clueless of computer owners know is not right. It took me 30 seconds of googling to discover the proper procedure to follow in order to actually repair the issue from start to finish, and these guys managed to take about 2 weeks to do it, and they did it wrong. Find somewhere else to get your expensive electronics fixed, because these guys do not know what they are doing. Also the place reeked of sewage. read more

I should have read Vinay O's review before dropping my laptop off as this establishment and like them I wish I could have given them 0 stars. If you're considering taking your device here for repair, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. I normally don't leave negative reviews for small businesses, but my experience was unacceptable. I dropped off my MacBook Pro on 8/24/25 and paid the diagnostic fee, but received no updates for over a week. When I called, I was told it was still being worked on. Two weeks later I stopped by in person and was told the technician wasn't available and no update could be provided, though they promised a call that never came. Over the next few weeks, this pattern repeated--missed calls that never happened, staff unable to locate my device, and even being shown another customer's laptop instead. Finally, on 9/27/25, I returned once again and was told the technician would call me. An hour later, no call so I stopped by once again only to be greeted by I was just about to call you. I was handed back my MacBook in worse condition: still broken, with scratches, missing screws, and a bent bottom cover. I needed help with my 2016 MacBook Pro laptop but did not want to drive to Dallas to any of the Apple stores. My son told me about IFix Hut right here in McKinney where I live, so I gave it a try. The tech took one day to diagnose the problem. My laptop needed a new battery and also a new processing chip. It was ready for pickup in four days. Communication was very good as the tech stayed in touch by phone throughout the repair process, and the cost seemed fair and reasonable. I have waited several weeks before posting a review to make sure the improvements are as great as they seemed at first. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I brought in my computer for a repair. While the original issue was fixed, other components were damaged in the process -- including my screen. Over the course of 6 months, I repeatedly followed up. The business promised to replace the damaged parts but never followed through. I was told parts were discontinued, even though my laptop is a 2022 model -- which I later found to be untrue. When I finally got the laptop back, it was in worse shape. Attempts to reach the shop were ignored, and my number was even blocked at one point. My advice: record the condition of your device before handing it over. Based on my experience, expensive equipment may not be handled with the care you'd expect from a repair shop. I don't want others to go through what I did. I considered legal action, but without hard evidence, it's difficult. Just be cautious. This is just unaccetable service they provided and no customer should ever have to go through what I had to go. Reapiring computers are already expensive and then the problem of having to fight to get parts that I did not even break fixed. And the worst part is they didnt event get fixed. My problems were made worse. I have no words, but at least I learned that I will never be coming back to a shop like this ever again. read more

Don't take your electronics here!! My $3k computer was stolen by these people. They haven't reached out to me for two weeks. Their store front shop has been closed and no one is there for weeks. My phone calls go straight to voicemail and no one has reached out to me for weeks. Very unprofessional. read more

I was deeply impressed in every way when my Mac's hard drive went bad. The service was fast, friendly, and reasonable. All my Apple products have a new BFF in IFIXHUT. And I dare say their pc repairs are top notch too. Don't even blink an eye about going there if you have a computer or phone problem. read more

I was able to bring my Mac monitor in right away (same day). The gentleman assisting me took the monitor to the back. He then asked me to come take a look and it was working! He talked me through my computer/monitor set up and determined what the issue may be. I stopped at Best Buy on the way home and bought a replacement adaptor cord and that did the trick. I appreciate that the gentleman who assisted me was professional/honest (I was feeling a little embarrassed at this time). The bonus was that he didn't charge me for his time! Brought in a hard drive to pull files for a school project and was told they could have it ready the next day. Next day comes around and they are closed due to a power outage. Talked to them on the phone about when we could get the files and they told us there was a lot of game data on drive. Told them we didn't need that, just anything non-game related. Was told we could get it the next day again. Went in to get the file and pick up the hard drive and they had not pulled any data and REFUSED to give us the drive back without paying $60.
