Dr Smart Phones was running an add on fb to fix iPhone 6 - !!! BUT - I drove to the wrong Dr of cell phone repair - the place I ended up (Dr Cell Phone) offered to match the price. I'm lazy - I had Dr Cell Phone fix my cracked screen - WHAT A STUPID MISTAKE THAT WAS! They aligned the screen incorrectly so that when it was sealed, it was bearing pressure - eventually the screen gave way to a new crack after only a few days. The phone had been cased the whole time and never experienced any sort of impact. Dr. Evil Cell Phone refused to repair or refund - . It was obvious they had no clue what had happened .... Dr Smart Phone knew right away - they were able to clearly see that the crack was a result of a misaligned screen repair. My phone got cracked on August 4 at work. One of my friends told me I should come here and she said they fix your phone fast. I came here August 5 at 10:30 and the phone was fixed by 11:30. Had a cracked screen, brought it in and got a price and time estimate. They missed the time estimate although the screen looked to be in good shape afterwards. Within a few days, my screen started separating. I thought it was a problem with how they put it back together but was told the battery was swelling. They were near closing time that day so I brought it back the next week - but the store appears to be closed now. I don't see any product on the shelves and the signs in front are turned around backwards. Have driven by several times and the "open" sign hasn't been lit up. I recently had cracked my iPhone 6 screen and was quick to to some research on locations with good reviews and a reasonable price. I can across this wonderful business and I couldn't recommend it enough! I walked in and was immediately greeted by a friendly face and showed them my phone. They said they could easily fix it and it would take about 30-45 minutes max! While I waited a few customers came in for service and I noticed that the guy who had helped me was being completely honest with his costumers! One customer came in and needed their tablet screen fixed (it was an older generation tablet) and instead of throwing out the price of that service, he told them honestly that it would be cheaper to get the tablet replaced than to have the screen fixed. He even looked up the same tablet on eBay for a cheaper price and let them know! Another customer came in and the same scenario happened! I was very impressed. My phone was finished in the time given and it looked as if I had just bought it! The total ended up being $99.95 for my screen repair and I even got a protective case + a screen protector for only $35! Such a great deal and a great staff! The people here are as nice as can be, and they are skilled at phone repairs, and the price is fair, but TWICE IN A ROW NOW, they have ordered the wrong parts for the phone. Both times THEY PERSONALLY checked the correct box for the carrier (which I witnessed and confirmed), and yet STILL failed to order the correct ones. I will advise anyone who does not have an iPhone or one of the Samsung galaxies to go elsewhere. Any phones that are less popular than those two, or any phones that differ structurally by carrier are too complicated for them to deal with.... read more

Not expert enough to fix any phone, maybe able to put your screen protector not more! Even for that, they are just using cheap parts and accessory. Honest service, very reasonable price, and super quick turnaround. We needed an iphone battery replaced but instead of just taking our money and replacing it they recommended that we try a few things first. When those suggestions didn't work they were able to swap out the battery in 10 minutes (or less) and at a much cheaper cost than what apple wanted for the same service. This rating is for honesty. My son's phone was not working properly because there seemed to be a crack on the screen. I took it in and a gal that worked there determined that the tempered glass was cracked and not the actual screen. It took her less than 2 minutes to diagnose the problem. She advised me that I should take it back to where I had it repaired before and have them replace the screen because she believed that it was defective and that the phone was still under warranty. I told her that I would pay her for her time in diagnosing the problem but she said there was no need. I told her that she will have my business going forward. By the way, I took the phone back to the shop that did the original repair and they fixed it. The phone was under warranty. The gal saved me $75. read more

7.1.16 I stopped on my way home to check to see if Dr. Smart Phone Plano was able to repair my iPhone. The screen is loose and slowing working it's way off. I did not expect anyone to work on it since it was 6:48 p.m. when I walked in but thought I would hear an estimate to repair the phone. Not knowing I asked, "How much would you charge to glue my screen back on because it is coming off?" The young lady said, "we can't glue it back on because we don't have the glue" to which I asked, "are you just out? Will you be getting some more?" She said, "no we never have the glue." Really, now I am confused. She said I could try another cell phone repair place, they might have the glue. I asked if she could suggest any, she couldn't. I said, "oh, okay and started to leave and then turned and asked..."so how do you fix screens when they are in need of repair? to which she NOW explained the screen comes in an assembly and the entire piece is replaced. (Now I am beginning to understand) Guess I'm a little slow but I would have thought she might have suggested replacing the entire screen and quote me a price to do so since it can't be glued back on. I would have been a happy camper. So I left...but driving home I thought.... maybe the store owner needs to know we might need some more on the job training. "no we can't glue your screen back on but we can do XYZ to repair your phone." That's all I wanted to know. Headed to Apple to find out if they know anyone who can repair my phone. I had such high hopes from all the reviews...but giving you two stars for your employee not knowing to explain what needed to be done to repair the phone. read more

Follow up to my previous review. I called back after i located my e mail where i had the price in writing. They said they would honor the price and go ahead and do it for what I was told. As far as the work itself is concerned, great job, looks like new and he did it in less than 1 hour. I paid them 330$ to have 2 screens and 2 home buttons replaced on 2 separate iPhone 6's. They fixed one just fine, however on my 6 plus they gave me a bootleg screen that they claimed would work til I'd come back the next week and get a better screen that they would order. I walked out of the store, and the 6 plus almost immediately was out of commission. I go to school out of town and came back 2 weeks later to have the 6 plus screen replaced with a "better" screen or whatever. They knew I was frustrated because I had called them and explained the situation, I didn't get what I paid for. Well when I visited them, they fixed the screen but SOMEHOW, my battery that was just replaced before summer stopped working. They gave me a bad battery and to this day I still don't have a working iphone 6 plus. This store is an embarrassment, so many better options in the area. Also, trying to reason with their employees who all resemble drug users was a different animal of its own. read more
